Ive heard about this place.for a long time ans was really looking forward to a great experience with coworkers that were in town for a few days. All of us were very disappointed. Not sure how this restaurant maintains such a strong rating/reputation. It's in the middle of nowhere, food is overpriced and the views are no different that anywhere else throughout the Crystal Springs resort. This place is trying way to hard to be a top tier restaurant and the ambiance, food, service and value just doesn't deliver. Wine list is impressive (as advertised ) but otherwise it was a let down. I can think of dozens of restaurants that blow this place away in nearly every category

The food creations were fussy rather than harmonious. The waiter was seriously under trained. The desserts were very good. Certainly the most ambitious restaurant in NJ. The food was at its best when the sous chef from Pierre Gangnan (sp?) in Paris ran the kitchen. One has to go with the attitude “oh what’s an extra hundred dollars or so.”

We had a perfect night with amazing food and wine. Each course was delicious. The evening was capped off as I proposed to my now fiancé Erin with a amazing sunset.in the background. Thanks to Gianni and the staff for making this day so special

We've dined at Latour several times and I've run out of superlatives to include in my reviews. The chef continues to take disparate food items and combine them into spectacular, creative and delicious dishes. If you are more a meat and potatoes kind of diner, Latour isn't for you, but if your palate enjoys trying unusual combinations (including some stuff you've probably never heard of), this place is not to be missed and is well worth the drive.

Best meal of my life! We did the 7 course chef's tasting. Every dish was amazing and flavor mixtures like I've never had before. It was a great experience that I hope everyone gets to experience at least once in their life. Very pricey, but it was worth it if you are a foodie. Wait staff is also very friendly and attentive.

Food was good not great. Service was good not great. We did chefs tasting and told waiter of my husbands dislike of mushrooms. He told us there were mushrooms in one dish and my husband agreed that was ok. However 3 dishes had mushrooms . Sparkling and flat waters were mixed , up along with tap at some point. I would try again and maybe choose my meals instead.

My wife and I have dined at Latour several times (always for special occasions) and it never fails to impress. This is a high-end restaurant with a brilliantly creative chef who combines flavors and textures in a way rarely experienced. Beware, this is an expensive restaurant, but, for us, well worth the $300 dinner (including drinks) for two and a 2 hour drive for us to get there. The service is attentive and friendly, the ambience is quiet and warm with a large picture window overlooking the mountains. I've previously posted reviews of Latour, and frankly, I've run out of superlatives to describe this special place.

Food is good, but needs more character... E.g. the cucumber salad was supposed to come with dill and feta, but I saw/tasted none of it, it was pretty tasteless and watery. Outstanding service, spectacular views.

First time at Latour. Service and food exceptional. We had the 5 course meal, each plate was prepared and presented beautifully, a work of art. I don’t care for fish so I was able to substitute that course for another. My daughter has allergies and staff was accommodating. Course sizes aren’t huge but we left full and very satisfied. Took about 3 hours to enjoy our meal, they don’t rush you, seating is staggered which allows the staff to provide impeccable service. This wasn’t just dinner, it was an experience. Pricey yes but worth the money for a special occasion.

Wonderful Valentines dinner. Very clever combinations with local ingredients. Loved the rabbit entree, an under appreciated protein. They did a great job and the cheese options were very cleverly done. Chocolate cake for dessert was super luscious a great finish with port. Manhattan style fine cuisine in Sussex county, worth seeking out but with Manhattan style prices too. Wine list is ridiculously good.

It is a missed price, the food well below expectation, with a lot of smoked flavor, some barbecue sauce and the desert is simply a joke you can t eat; it is very surprising for a gastronomic restaurant and the price of the menu; very disappointed regarding by the chief 's menu; the wine was expensive but good, i don't recommend at all this place

Great food And worth the prices..most places like this with fixed menu give really small portions however this place did not. One of our dishes was undercooked and they gave us an additional dish at no cost. Great service and great wine too!

It was just okay- the chef was unwilling to accommodate which was ridiculous. We asked to sub one dish, we couldn’t eat, from the seven course tasting and she declined. Give me a break.. food really was not all that great, service was great, chef was Not professional and doesn’t believe she is serving the customers ... not customer orientated. Very disappointing.

This is my 3rd time at this restaurant, in 8 years. I still remember what I ate for the first visit, everything was amazing. Wine, food, scenery, services, etc. This time it was a thurs, very quiet, one of 2 tables the whole night. 2 dishes out of the 5 were good. The rest was not great. Maybe I have become more of a “foodie” or they are declining. And the price has gone up. Very disappointing.
