    We enjoyed the entire experience. Our food was exceptional- a most delicious and memorable meal. With fresh snow out the window and the radiator at our feet, it was festive and cozy! Our waiter suggested a Canadian wine that was fabulous. (We tend to drink European wines and were happily surprised by this Canadian wine.)

    A restaurant passed its prime. Specialities include steaks and Caesar salad prepared table side. The steak was tender but lacking in flavor and the sauce was bland. When we asked if there was another salad besides the Caesar, the first waiter offered a small green side salad, but a second waiter tried to talk us into the much more expensive Caesar. On the plus side, the red wine recommended was excellent though $20 more than I'd requested to pay. The decor was dated and the wait service not the polished, given the high prices. Would not go back!

    Hands down one of the best dining experiences anyone could have!! The service was over the top from start to finish we even got to meet the owner which made the experience perfect. The food was ridiculous best filet I’ve ever tasted you will not be disappointed

    Old-fashioned in the best possible way. Excellent service and warm, inviting atmosphere. Food was well prepared and didn’t feel overly “artsy.” The food, the atmosphere, and the service were all classy, yet comfortable.

    We went to Le Continental for Christmas dinner. The ambiance and service was outstanding. We had one dedicated server plus four other servers rounding the room. My husband had the filet which was cooked at the table. The food was done to perfection. I had the beef medallions which were so tender and the sauce was so good. We ended with Cherries Jubilee which was also prepared at the table and was a beautiful. The prices are high but worthy of the service and quality; and the equivalent of what you would pay at other highly rated restaurants in the area at Christmas. Make sure you reserve in advance as this restaurant is popular with the tourists and locals.

    I'm very sorry to say this was disappointing. I'll begin by saying service was very good - no issues there. But the menu and kitchen need work. The tableside Caesar salad was excellent. One of the best I've had. The lobster bisque was extremely disappointing; the color was an off-putting dark brown, it was gelatinous, tasted fishy in a way that was not pleasing (un-fresh), and the lobster meat crumbled into nothingness on the tongue. I suspect this was made a previous day and was warmed, or simply held too long (our reservation was 7-ish). The sole meunière was just ok; the fish itself was fine, but the brown butter sauce was virtually non-existent. The only two beef choices are sirloin (is this a "Classic French" thing?) or filet. Everyone's tastes are different, but these are not my favorites. So I went with the lamb chop special. It was overcooked, uninspired, and accompanied by another dark brown gelatinous "sauce" that frankly tasted like it came out of a can. It brings me no joy whatsoever to post this review. I know the effect they can have on a restaurant. But a restaurant that presents itself in this space - particularly at this price point - must do better. And I would want to know before going.

    A meal at Le Continental is not a meal, it is an experience. The staff is attentive and discreet, the food is amazing, and the table side cooking is spectacular to watch. We enjoyed the chateaubriand and the frontage croquettes, and crepe Suzette. A dining treat not to be missed!
