Horrible experience! Was excited to try this place as I had heard good things. Unfortunately, we left very disappointed. I had a reservation for the patio; noted it was a date night and first time dining. My partner and I often share a meal because it keeps us from overeating. We ordered some bread ($3 pp for a few pieces of bland bread) and the chef's special, a Barramundi fish dish, and 2 drinks. When our meal came it looked great. First bite was fine, but the second of what should have been flaky white fish, instead was very pink and gummy; couldn't even cut it. It was clearly not cooked all the way. Showed the server and she said she would take care of it and took the plate. My expectation, after working in the service industry over 20 years, as well as dining at many fine dining establishments, was that they would bring us a new plate with a new piece of fish that was fully cooked. Instead, she brought back our plate with the same piece of fish that had been tossed back into a pan and cooked again. I was shocked because to me this is absolutely NOT OK. First off, you can't take half-cooked, room temp meat and then cook it again. This does not jive with food handling standards. 2nd, we are paying $45 a plate and you can't give me a new piece of fish when you served me raw fish to begin with? I told the server that we would like to return the dish and just pay our bill. Again, common expectation would be perhaps they would comp our drinks or the $6 bread for the inconvenience. Nope, I paid $60 for 2 drinks, bread, tip & a horrible time. The server did ask if we wanted anything else but my appetite was gone. I asked to give feedback to management. Was told the managers were not there and our server was acting manager. She said she had no authority to comp anything. Next the bartender told us that the chef cooks the fish medium rare on purpose. NO, this fish needs to be cooked all the way! Situation was poorly handled & we will most likely never return.

We eat at Restaurant Martin every time we are in Santa Fe, which is often. Our favorite dinner place and patio. The service is always good and the food just wonderful. Their patio is truly magical.

Great food, excellent friendly service, lovely outside patio, perfect for a cool September evening. Bartender skillfully makes creative cocktails with local spirits, tasted great. Can’t wait to return, loved the selections I made this time, but there’s more things to try on the menu!

A little disappointing. Only New Mexico liquors, but the talented bartender made the most of them. It is becoming common to charge for bread but when our bill came the fee was per person. Our appetizers were better than the entrees with the latter taking a while to make it to the table. The food was good, I would have preferred a little more sear on my lamb chops. All the food was carefully and artfully presented.

Lovely dining on the patio, perfect atmosphere, attentive service, delightful food. Salmon was cooked perfectly on a frittata over an eggplant confit, with bok choy side.

Our experience at Restaurant MARTIN was so wonderful. Apart from the perfect summer evening weather and the beautiful outdoor patio, the food was visually and taste-amazing. The chilled pea soup with shrimp was the most delicious soup I've ever had. Plating and visual details are always a hallmark here but also the combination of textures and tastes are so subtle and very rewarding. Our server, Edward Miller, was an experienced gem and the whole staff seemed to genuinely want us to enjoy our evening. We did! Thank you for your excellence and high standards!!

Wonderful al fresco dining experience at Restaurant Martin a few weeks ago! The meal, wine, desserts and service were outstanding! Can't wait to return when we visit Santa Fe, and have highly recommended to friends who live there. Well done to the entire team!
