My family and I were in town for the long weekend and asked the lady where we were staying for recommendations on a good place to eat and she suggested this place. It was very nice. The food and service was great. I would definitely go back again!
Booked for a group of 8. Very accommodating. Everyone loved the food. Wine prices are a bit steep. Otherwise great experience, Lyla was lovely and separate bills were much appreciated!
My husband and I got married at The Farmhouse on Halloween 2017 and the entire staff went out of their way to make our wedding an amazing and memorable event. This year on our first anniversary, we reserved a table for dinner and when we walked in, were instantly welcomed by staff with "Happy Anniversary". Sarah and the team were generous and thoughtful and the food, as always, was excellent! This is definitely our favorite spot and we will always spend our anniversary (and other occasions) at The Farmhouse.
Enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Great service! My dinner salad was delicious.
The Farmhouse is our favourite place to eat in Barrie. Great service, great food and beautiful view of the waterfront. We love how you use local ingredients and which is always fresh.
This was our first time at the farmhouse. It was our anniversary, and everything about our experience was great. Will definitely be going back.
We wanted a nice Thanksgiving dinner and the Farmhouse delivered. Had a nice soup and salad followed by brined turkey mashed potatoes, stuffing and veggies the Oreo cheesecake for dessert. Service was prompt and nice. Only a small improvement or suggestion for next year is to bring more gravy or a little gravy boat when serving. Best part no dishes to do..but sadly no leftovers to enjoy the next day.
First time visit for these Albertans. Had a great experience. 3 of the group ordered Benny’s. 2 ordered the dill pickle brined fried chicken one. Only complaint was that there were only 2 not 3 on the plate, was that good! Farmhouse breakfast was more than I could eat. Everything fresh from Feltis farms. Would definitely go back if ever in the area again.
hope to see you at the Collier Food Fest, October 25 th, your listed as one of the hosts !
Excellent place for a weekday night dinner
Quality of food was poor.
Services was great, very friendly.
The service was good, the food was good. My only issue was that the portions were on the small side which reduced the overall value.
The food was very good and the server was excellent. My only complaint would be the noise level. Hard
to have a conversation with all the background noise from other people.
Great ambience and view of the water. Mentioned in our reservation that we were celebrating my husband’s 50th birthday but no mention made during time there. They did however accommodate my kids’ allergy requests.
Dinner was fantastic yet again. The Farmhouse never disappoints!
Always happy to be back. Look forward to the next visit.
We were stopping in Barrie as a place to stretch it legs while on a road trip. Although the place is easy to spot once you know where it is, the street signage is very confusing on that corner and the parking lot is only accessible via Tiffin St.
It’s a beautiful restaurant and we sat on the upstairs patio for the lovely view. The menu sounded delicious but our meals were really nothing to write home about, however their home grown micro greens salads are YUM.
We had the burger and the avocado chicken club sandwich. Both were meh.
Best part of our visit was the service and atmosphere. Our server Chris was a stand up guy 👍🏼
We always enjoy going to Farmhouse. My only suggestion would be larger tables on the patio. We barely had room for our meals, drinks, etc. But other than that it was great!
A cozy spot with interesting menu options. Very enjoyable.
This was my 2nd visit to Farmhouse. And while my first visit was very positive this visit was disappointing. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided on the Farmhouse. I ordered the beef dip as I had it before when I was at the Farmhouse for lunch. However, this beef dip was disappointing. Served on a giant, mushy hamburger bun with hardly any beef it was soggy and lack lustre in taste. The fries were also mushy and greasy tasting. My husbands steak was good but the extra $6 charged for a tiny salad served in a small mason jar with soggy croutons was outrageous. I wish I could say something positive about the ambiance but it was loud and difficult to hear. The service was very good but the waitress was having a hard time hearing us and missed a drink order. Overall, the dining experience was mediocre and not worth the inflated meal costs. There are better places to spend your money in Barrie.
I went as a group of 4 for brunch, I had eggs Benedict which was quite delicious and fresh and a whopping 17$(before tax). The price of the dishes and amount of food is the only real problem I had with the restaurant. My friend had the eggs and bacon for breakfast which was barely enough food for a toddler and was 8$. There should be more food for the cost of their dishes - that being said, everything was very tasty and perfectly made.
Met a friend for lunch our server was very professional she was attentive and efficient we had a wonderful lunch on a beautiful patio the food was great I had the Chicken Avacado sandwich with a green salad and vegetables. All was fresh and Yummy. We will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon
Always a great place t have your favourite dish! Great anniversary dinner :) thank you!
This was the first time in a long time that I have dined out and actually felt that our dinner was of the quality I would expect from a restaurant!
The atmosphere was more casual than we expected, but it was thoroughly enjoyable, and the food quality was worthy of the high prices
Very casual considering the price point of the food. My daughter and I enjoyed our meal however my husband felt that he did not have much selection for a more home meal. This was our second time first was for breakfast and this time for dinner. We dine out every Friday night this will not be one of our go to places.
This place was fantastic, would go again when I'm in Barrie. Food was good.
Very disappointing. First, we were taken to a table that wasn't clean and we had to wipe the crumbs off of it. Secondly, I ordered the beef dip with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. The beef was processed, I think, and the potatoes had a funny taste to them which I didn't eat. Another person had the cob salad and asked the waiter to put half of the lettuce into the salad. She didn't end up eating half of what was on her plate and she said it was awful and her bill was over $25.00 for salad that she didn't eat and water.
Very expensive for what it was...
Lunching ladies on a Wednesday afternoon. I loved this place. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere with excellent food. I had the beef dip and my friend had the pulled pork sandwiches. Sat outside on the 2nd story balcony, sipping wine while we enjoyed the view of Kempenfelt Bay. Perhaps a skosh pricey for lunch but what the hell. It was worth it.
Loved it here.
Read about this before traveling to Barrie on a warm Sunday night.
Had some great Ontario beer and a veggie burger and fries, followed up with an Oreo cheesecake desert/
We loved it, hope you do too.
Tables to close togeather the waitress' as a was in my husband's face and plate for half of our meal
Food was over cooked
Never asked how our meal was
Suppose to be a fine dining restaurant but hooting and hollering going on in the bar area
Everything was delicious! Food was fresh and portions were big. We went for Barrielicious but would go back anytime!
Thought we would try out Barrielicious. Waitress Larissa was awesome. Food was good. Portions were small. Not many mussels or ribs. They should let people know that it’s not an accessible building. On my reservation request I ased for a fairly accessible table as my wife uses a walker. When we arrived there were stairs to get in and the washrooms are on the second floor and the basement. If someone read my request I should’ve been contacted and advised. We checked the website and there is no mention of the building being inaccessible. We were a little peeved and luckily we didn’t travel from far away and possibly in need of a restroom. I strongly recommend letting people know about this issue on your website and email or phone reservations.
Dinner was very good. We had a great table on the upper balcony overlooking the road & bay
The food was amazing!! The waterfront location is so beautiful and the staff is fantastic! I loved the whole experience start to finish!
Service was great, however, the steaks and fish were cold. The baked potatoes were hot but everything else was cold.
Very disappoint as we had guests from New York and wanted to impress them with a restaurateur that was referred to us by a friend.
Awesome Barrielicious deal. Sat outside on the patio and had a wonderful evening.
We went for our anniversary (during Barrielicious) and really enjoyed ourselves! Delicious food, great view of the water, service wasn’t overbearing but was very prompt- as soon as we finished one course the next was being brought out. I’d definitely return! A bit pricy (not crazy) but worth it for a date night or celebration!
Food was great. Was disappointed that they ran out of the baked potato. 3 of us ordered it and our reservation was only for 7pm. The patio was lovely. We were seated inside first as reservations can not be made for the patio. Inside is quite drab. But was very pleased we could get on the patio within half an hr of us being there. Will definitely go back, only if we can sit on the patio again.
Amazing experience! As always!
