I came with a few of my friends and it was the perfect spot to catch up and enjoy a meal! The atmosphere was amazing and the server ensured that we were happy. Food was delicious. I will definitely go again. It was worth the drive from Burlington!
Sorry, too noisy, crab cakes did'nt taste like crab as expected, salmon overcooked, hamburger ok, did'nt had a chance to taste the wine before are two glasses were full... took the whole time of the diner till our waitress smiled at us.
Sorry, did'nt match the description in our guide... wont return...
We recieved awesome service during my birthday dinner this past weekend. We arrived late to our reservation due to traffic and were given a complimentry beer tasting tour while we waited for our new table. the food was great and the service was fast. One of my favourite resturants.
Cold food, wrong order for a member of our party who had serious allergies, and we had empty glasses for quite awhile.. have been elsewhere with better service for more reasonable prices.
We stumbled across Amsterdam Brewhouse while visiting Toronto from Calgary and what a gem of a find for a delicious meal in an incredibly fun and warm eating environment. The staff were all friendly and the hostess and our server made it an exceptional dining experience. The retail store to buy a few of our fav beers was the icing on the brewhouse cake.
I would highly recommend this restaurant ! I had the brick chicken and it was the best chicken I have ever tasted . I would recommend a reservation for dinner .
Can’t go wrong!
Great service, great ambiance and great food and drinks! Highly recommend it. 🙌🏻
Experience was fine until our bill came. Met an old friend I hadn't seen in many years and we decided to split the bill in half, plus tip. But once we each paid via credit card, our server returned saying he messed up the bill - saying it was missing something but added something else instead. We asked him to sort it out and when he returned he said we owed $22 more. Without making a scene (no idea what was added or subtracted from each bill), we paid and departed. AFTER I left however, it occurred to me that we each put in a 17% tip on top of paying the first bill and I ordered even more than my friend (so they essentially overpaid), SO I am not sure how we owed more since we weren't shown the difference in the two bills. Now I wish I had asked for clarity since I am certain we way OVERPAID at what I understand was our server's error. Definitely will have second thoughts about returning.
We went the the Amsterdam Brewhouse when we couldn't find a table at one of our favourite restaurants in the area and we were so pleasantly surprised that we will make this a regular stop! Great atmosphere, historic building, lovely location on the waterfront which would be great for a stroll after dinner in the warmer months. It was a cold night but there was a full moon, which looked gorgeous over the water. Wait staff were amazing - friendly, informative and attentive. The biggest surprise was their craft beer, which was delicious! I am most definitely NOT a beer drinker (wine only) and my partner is a Greyhound guy (only likes Bud Light draft when he drinks beer, lol) but we ordered the tasting flights "just for fun" (when in Rome...) We were very surprised and delighted to actually enjoy most of the samples and even went on to order a couple more each through the course of the evening. We are fans!
First time there , definitely a return next Toronto trip
great other than sitting by the kitchen and listening to the manager scream at the kitchen staff the whole night
Server was helpful. Beer was good. Ambiance was okay.
Our server was outstanding! He was very friendly and helpful as we were traveling with a toddler.
Load of fun and worth it
Will definitely come back soon
Sick. Sick. Sick. Sick. Sick. Sick. Sick. Sick. Sick. Sick.
Amazing beer, amazing food (especially the pretzels and dessert!), Beautiful view, cozy, great service everytime. My go to place for consistently good time!
Found the server rude, the food cool if not cold and felt rushed with servers not taking away starter plates before bringing mains and being snarky about it when asked to remove plates in order to fit mains plates onto table!
Food was VERY average! Service was fine. Wine list is minimal, however it is a brewery. Had the veggie burger which wasn’t good at all. The fries were good tho. Would go back for a pre-theatre meal only because it’s conveniently located.
We have been to the Amsterdam Brewhouse several times and usually it is an exceptional place to have a casual get together, a decent meal and great service. However, this particular visit was pretty disappointing.
The moment we stepped in the door we were never greeted, our impression from the hostess was that we were inconveniencing her. As we were standing where the hostess put us while she was chatting with another employee, a small group of men exiting the restaurant bowled into my 78 year old mother-in-law and came close to knocking her over. They looked back, but never even apologized for the incident. Now, I am aware this is not the restaurant’s fault, but a little, “Are you okay?” would have been a nice gesture from a hostess that could have been more aware of her area.
The table service was excellent and Bass was great. He asked all the right questions at the right time and was attentive and personable. The food was really good for my two guests, but I wouldn’t recommend the fish and chips. The batter was soggy and it made the fish tasteless.
Overall, I would still recommend the restaurant and will return myself. But, I believe they can definitely improve on some of the issues they are facing with their fried foods and their greeting staff.
Started out on the wrong foot as I booked 2 days before & specifically requested a table for 6 located at a window with a lake view ... they were all booked 😡. We settled for one looking over the boat harbour.
Then had super service and good food .... music a bit too loud.
Fun place to have dinner. The food was quite tasty. I did a flight of beers and they were yummy. Great people watching from the second floor and nice views out on the water. Dessert was also good. I would love to load a couple of pictures but this app only allows small photos and I'm not going to take the time to resize them. Sorry.
Visited many times, always try something new. All our dishes were a hit: salmon nicoise, vegetarian pizza, ravioli. Beer delicious as always.
Great restaurant with a good selection of beer and food. We were visiting Toronto and the place had been recommended to us in advance - various locals we met during our visit also recommended the place. Unfortunately our waitress was having a bad day, she wasn't very friendly or attentive. The food and ambiance was good though, we'll definitely come back on our next visit.
Le serveur n'était pas présent. * * *
Everything was brilliant. Only caveat is value for dollar: $17 for 3 tacos the size of beer coasters piled with 25 grams of meat and 50 grams of vegetable toppings is price-heavy. Even the $11 poutine is steep for 250 grams of frozen fries, canned gravy and 25 grams of curds. Highly recommend this place for special occasions. Coming here regularly will require a 2nd mortgage or a new line of credit.
Our food was delicious, and our server was excellent!
Fun place right on the water. They have a fantastic Raspberry Wheat on tap that I highly recommend!
Food and drink were great. Both the brisket sandwich and brisket cheeseburger were outstanding, but the service left something to be desired. Waitress coming lately ignored us once the food was delivered, never came back to ask if we wanted more drinks, etc
Tough rating on our experience due to very slow service throughout the meal. Our server ended being quite personable however this did not make up for how long our food order and drink replenishment took. Food quality was very poor, and by the time it made it to us it was luke warm.
The Smokehouse ribs are excellent! They were out of a couple of their beers, which I found odd. After all, they are a brewery...
Although the food was good and our server was nice; it took a long time. We waited an hour for 4 sandwiches. Also they were out of numerous drinks; diet coke, ginger ale.
Had a great meal at this restaurant! We don't live locally but we would make the trip just to come for dinner!
Lisa Marie very good waitress and very friendly
Great atmosphere, beautiful view and the food was good too! Great find for a restaurant that is close to several things to do in Toronto.
Eat here fairly ofter before a Jays game. Food is always consistent. Good quality, tasty. Servers are friendly and efficient. We had a party of 11 and were treated very well. Great place in summer on outdoor patio facing the harbour. Very busy before any Jays game.
Great atmosphere and service. Food was delicious and came quick. Great location
Horrible service that’s all I can say will never go back will never ever drink there beer. Don’t waste your time going here.
A true neighborhood gem!! Cheers to Amsterdam Blonde Lager!!
I made a reservation and when I got there they didn’t have my name down at all but figured it was because of how recent I made the reso, the male host was amazing and told me that normally they don’t do reservations on the patio but he squeezed us in anyways! I was waiting for two friends and they’re not from here so don’t have cell phones that work and when they arrived the host inside told them I had never arrived and wouldn’t sit them to a table meanwhile I was waiting for them outside for 20 minutes.. after we finally found one another the service took at least 20 minutes to get ours drinks after asking 3 waiters for them. The food came out faster then anything but was a 4/10 at best. I’ve heard mixed reviews about this place but after experiencing it for myself I’d say it’s only popular for the waterfront location.
