Went here for a pre-theatre meal and the food was beyond my expectations. The pide is a must is a must try as well as any lamb based dished. Great variety of cocktails as well!

Was expecting more. If you order tapas put thought into it, ie main course, salad and veg vs random. Asked for recommendations and were given them but meal didn't real work together.

Food was delicious. Very disappointed in the size of the Branzino, more like the size of a sardine, and that’s for 4 people to share. Tea was served in a regular glass, how is one to hold a hot cup? When we complained, the very condescending manager removed the hot glasses and merely poured the tea into a cup. Did not even pour fresh hot water or replace the tea bag. We were too upset at this point to complain about the lukewarm tea. Not a pleasant way to end a delicious dinner.

My friend took me for a birthday dinner. The waitress monitored time for us so we could make the ballet on time and we didn’t feel rushed. The appetizers were fabulous (squid and beets in a yogurt dip), followed by equally delicious main and side dishes of truffle rice, Brussels sprouts and the catch of the day. The flavours were amazing. Ambiance is lively and romantic, with soft colours and glowing candlelight.

We have been to Byblos a couple times and we always leave amazed. The care and passion they put into their food is outstanding. I don't say this lightly. I cook often at home and have high standards. If I can make it better then I am not happy. Most of the food we had I would've had a hard time recreating. Thats what I want from a restaurant. To be taken to another place. We have traveled all over the world and eaten great food. This is on the top of our list.

Byblos never disappoints. The food is tasty in its own unique way, flavourful beyond expectation and cooked perfectly. We shared 1 appetizer, 1 salad, 1 pide, 2 main courses and 3 sides and it was plenty for 4 people. For dessert, we each had a spoonful of the hazelnut chocolate mousse: also delicious.
My choice for my next visit would be to request seating upstairs. This was my first time seated downstairs and it was quite crowded and noisy. There were two large tables near us and the people there were standing behind us talking and laughing, making it noisier than it already was. We had come dressed up, and upstairs is definitely more refined.

The food was excellent. I loved the creative options for middle eastern cuisine. I thought the restaurant was quaint and it was easy to talk. The server did seem a little daunted when told my mother had food allergies or I would have rated the service higher.

The food is exceptionally good. The service we had, on Sunday 4th November was very bad. For this reason, and because the food is very expensive, I might not recommend Byblos. Mainly the bad service. We had guests from the US, and it was very disappointing.

Byblos was an incredible restaurant that I can't recommend enough. The food and service were both fantastic - we had a small group and asked the server to bring us what he thought was best given our preferences. He did an excellent job and the food was just phenomenal. The Roasted Beets and Turkish Dumplings were so delicious for appetizers and the Roasted Lamb Shoulder for Two was my favorite dish of the entrees. Seriously, so good.

Great ambience and outstanding food. Lamb shank was excellent as was the crispy confit duck rice. We basically went with the waitresses suggestions and enjoyed it all. Waitress was funny and engaging. Overall a great night. Looking forward to them opening in North Toronto soon.

Great food ideas that brings the Mediterranean flavor but with a wild Twist which is fantastic! A little overpriced for the amount of food even though it is tapas. On my negative thing for me was that the tables were small for me and I am a 6'4 man. My knees could barely fit under the table. Will still go back there though, love the food!

This is not the first time we have been at Byblos and we always came out happy with everything. However this time, I noticed that the service was not at its best. Here is my comments:
- I booked will in advance for 5 - it was a special birthday dinner. We arrived on time, and were seated on time. Only to find out that the table was setup for 4 vs 5.
- the drink menu was not on the table as usual, we had to ask for it
- I dropped my fork and had to ask 3 times to get a replacement
- they made a mistake on our order, and started giving us food that we did not order. Including the rice that came before the appetizers.
- the drinks came way after we finished the appetizers
- when the main meal came, the server dropped the sauce and it came on my top and on the floor. I had to clean the floor myself first (was worried that someone might slip) until the server saw me and she cleaned it quickly. She came back with a soda and a towel to clean my top and even offered to dry clean it (umm how can I remove my top with no back up.. not a pleasant sight for other folks eating). I know mistakes happen, but the whole situation could have been handled better.
Would I go back again? For sure, the food is still amazing as always and I’m welling to give it another try.

As a fan of the simplicity and warmth of Mediterranean cuisine, I was a little apprehensive about the high end, small portion variety described in many of the online revues. Nonetheless, we were looking for a pre-theatre dinner location and Byblos was right around the corner from the theatre, so we decided to give it a try. I'm pleased to say that the experience exceeded our expectations. There was a good selection of choices without being overwhelming, and our server did a very good job of recommending combinations that suited our tastes and appetite. We enjoyed all of the flavors and ingredients I have come to expect from this type of food prepared and presented with a creative flair.

Love the flavours here! My only criticism is that my tea at the end of our meal was luke warm, and my husbands Turkish coffee took a very long time. A small glitch in service to an otherwise excellent dinner.

Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Dinner for 4 including wine was about $300 cdn. Was hard pressed to find a bottle of wine under $70 cdn. A few more canadian or Californian choices might bring the wine price down a bit.

This was our first time here and was seriously in the top 3 or 3 meals I’ve ever had, ever. The drinks were well made with well placed garnishes. The meal has spices and seasoning that is beyond description. The service was professional, precise and helpful. You seriously cannot go wrong with this restaurant. If there was a rating beyond 5 out of 5, I would give it. This place is that good!
