A small menu means options are relatively limited, but it also means that the kitchen can focus on doing those items really really well. The restaurant was about half full when we were there - 6pm on a Thursday evening - the noise level was tolerable and service was awesome. A great choice for a good meal at a reasonable price.

Our server was no friendly, did not smile or express any welcome signs, no smiles. He did not know his food. He said the special for tonight was Salmon wrap in parchment paper, serve with veggies. I clarified whether there was any species? He said “ well, is cooked in Parchment”. As though parchment is some kind of magic paper with taste. The lack of service the whole night.

We’ve been coming to Mags for years because it never disappoints. We had a new server tonight, Ben, and he was excellent. Fantastic service and amazing food.

Great experience. Service was fast and friendly. I found the prices a bit high but that’s true for everything these days. Overall - very good. I will be back and would recommend to others.

We have dined here several times before over the years, however, last night was horrible. We ordered potato skins for an appetizer and it was 1 whole potato cut in half with cheddar cheese melted on top with a dob of sour cream. There were 4 of us and 2 of us had seafood pasta with scallops, shrimp and mussels. I only had 2 shrimp a few very tiny scallops and the mussels weren't even cooked. After a long pause we actually had to find our waitress to ask if we could order a bottle of wine, I think she forgot about us! 3 hours later we finally ate our main course. We were so discouraged we didn't even order dessert. Not going again.

We had a table near the window looking at the street which is what we wanted but there were fruit flies around and we asked to be moved. A fly landed in my wife’s salad so her entire meal was free which was nice of them but we rather pay for a nice experience than get free food for a bad experience.

First time dining here. Server and service was great and food was fantastic. I had expected a different atmosphere. Thought it would be more intimate. The main dining room we were in had nice decor but tables were pretty close to eat other. That with the radio playing overhead made conversation a little difficult and less private. I hope the next time we visit we can sit in the other dining room. It appeared much more like I had hoped for. But it was empty and not being used.
