We had a wonderful meal. Our server Chloe was one of the best servers we have in quite a while.
Not only did she ask about any allergies, she recommended some other good options and had sterilized our untensles just in case .
Thank you Chloe for the great service and we will be back again.
We were a group of 6 with reservations. Service was prompt and food was very good, tried and shared lots of dishes.
My boyfriend and I were blown away by the atmosphere, service and menu. Would eat here everyday if I could afford it.
Awesome dinner here, cold beer and lots of hot, wonderful food! Chicken Bao board, Edamame, huge bowl of Ramen, and oh the Gyoza, going back and just having a dozen...
The food is decent but felt extremely disappointing given the high prices. At that price level food and service need to be WOW. Thus hard to recommend. If you are gong to try be sure to get the Travelzoo deal to help ease the sting.
The food was great, tasty and not too heavy. However, I found the music to be too loud.
Was a great experience. Friendly staff and great food!
Foid was definitely tasty! Lots on the menu to try so I'll be back for sure!
Interesting, tantalizing menu. Very tasty food (and we tried almost everything) coupled w/ courteous, attentive service. We’d go back in a heartbeat!
It’s always a fantastic experience
Service is slow
It was just ok. The gyoza really are the stars there. I wouldn't recommend anything else I had (the bao board was a pass. If you're looking for bao go to bao down) but the service was nice, and the prices were cheap. 60 dollars will get you lots of food and drinks for 2-3 people.
Very good food, good prices
We love the Gyoza’s at Joey’s and hoped these would be as good or better but we were disappointed unfortunately. The restaurant itself was very nice.
Overall, I wasn't impressed with the food since it was relatively pricey. The ramens were quite bland. It lacked flavor and toppings. Chicken taco gyoza(deep fried) was a nice treat. Loved the dips for it, but could use more fillings. Maple soy chicken with 2 mini bao buns were decent. But definitely not worth $18 as the portion was quite small. It was like an appetizer. Nonetheless the chicken itself had flavor to it. I also hear the chicken karage wings are delicious!
I will not be coming back however :) But I hope others have a better experience than I did. If you want ramen, I suggest to check out some place else. If you want try some fancy gyozas, this is the place! Just expect to pay a little more for the dining experience.
Very good hospitality. The waitress was friendly. got me a new bowl of ramen (on the house) cuz I wanted non-spicy one.
I had the soft shell crab which was deep fried and I found it a bit greasy. Those who had ramen said it was good. I also had another appetizer that was a bit heavy/greasy too. Not bad food but not great. The server was really nice though and they were accommodating to a large group so that was nice.
My first time there! We got there before Happy Hour ended and had the special Beer and Gyoza for $10 also wings and tempura share plates. All in $22 each incl. tip. Food was delicious and nice and warm. Sapporo beer was chilled. Service was great. I will definitely be back.
The soup base is a bit salty; other than that, all taste good.
It is a busy environment for sure.
Excellent. Ramen was tasty and they keep the flavors authentic. The happy hour special of beer and gyozas is a great starter
Service was great and friendly. Find the Bao item was a little pricy and you only get 2 steamed bao with it. Other than that everything was good.
Great food in a quinticentially decorated Japanese style ramen house. Excellent drinks, gyoza, service and drinks!
The food was good, but unfortunately, my meal came much after my partner's. Overall the food was good and it was nice that they had vegan options.
Absolutely blown away with how good the food was. You pay good money for good food and service, what more could you ask for?! Very satisfied customer and I will definitely be back! Thank you!
The food was Overpriced. Terrible taste. I drunk three bottles of water after dinner.
Overall decent 3.5, service was a bit slow and cocktails were a lot more to be desired, almost less than basic in flavours and presentations. Food had reasonable variety slightly over par for tapas/apps, The Ramen broth was delicious, aside from the noodles which did not taste or seem fresh.
The place itself was great, excellent service and fun vibe. We had veggie gyozas to start which were excellent however the veggie ramen for main course was inedible. So greasy and tasteless. Maybe just a bad batch as I came to this place highly recommended by others but left disappointed
I had high expectations for the ramen but was unfortunately, disappointed. Coming from the SF Bay Area, the ramen in Vancouver was not nearly comparable. The gyoza was amazing though! Just not sure if I can get full off of potstickers. This place is good for small snacks.
We went with our kids for an early tea and happy hour and all of us loved it. The food and beer were top drawer and it was a relaxed atmosphere.
The shrimp gyozas were amazing!
What can I say.
Absolutely excellent in every way, this is by far one of the best Japanese cuisine restaurants I have been too.
The food was exceptionally good and the spice level tailored to individual taste.
Really beautiful flavours and not at all heavy, just really vibrant and delicious flavours.
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and cannot do enough for you.
I would recommend this restaurant for any time of day or any occasion.
Our first visit to Gyoza Bar was very well received by all 3 of us. Every item we ordered was delicious and enjoyed very much. Our server was helpful, polite and positive in his interaction with us. This is a place we'd all like to visit again and can recommend among all of the choices in downtown Vancouver.
Food is very good and taste so delicious.. Service is so faster and make sure if I need anythings. They respect Deaf people.
This place has become a favourite. Their happy hour of $10 gyoza and beer is a great deal, and we love all their gyoza and bao buns. Great service and will continue to return.
The service was exceptional. Drinks were ordered, made and delivered in record speed. The food was delicious and we had a fantastic time. The serves recommendations were fantastic. I will be back and recommend this restaurant.
Had purchased a Travelzoo voucher $36 for $65 worth of food so decided to give it a try. At first, waiter had no idea what it was. Decided to not accept it without really knowing the details. Then takes info to supervisor to ask. Was a tad bit scary as a customer because you buy a voucher with reading all fine print beforehand and then go through a “this does not apply to these dishes” moment. Afterwards, it was fine. They allowed us to use it.
Food ok. Shrimp gyoza was yummy vs pork gyoza. Bao was alright. Suggestions on how to create our Bao would gave been appreciated.
Food a bit pricey.
Didn’t like the food. Good service. The place is decently decorated.
decent atmosphere, but food very bland. I was disappointed to see that they use frozen gyoza.
