The fabulicious lunch menu was tempting. We both ordered the butternut squash soup. It was delicious and had a wonderful presentation (waiters arrived with a bowl with nuts and muffin bits on the bottom, then they poured the soup on top). It had small bits of carrot muffin swimming in a smooth rich soup. It really did not need the muffin bits at all.
I ordered the Trius fish and chips, recommended by the waiter. The menu said “Lake Erie white fish”. I found the fish rather dry, so I asked the waiter what was the white fish. He told me it was Lake Huron fish. Then he returned a few minutes later he arrived to tell me it was halibut. My date had the ribeye beef burger, which he enjoyed. Both meals came with russet fries. Nothing special there.
For an additional $8 you could order dessert so we decided to split the hazelnut chocolate beignets. 3 small “Timbit-like” balls filled with chocolate and a small bowl of chocolate sauce. Not really worth it.
Fabulicious was soooooooooo Delish: we chose the appetizer of Butternut Squash Soup which was excellent and the presentation was a "wow". Fish & Chips for the main and the whitefish was perfect with ever so light & crispy coating - yum ! Hope both are kept on the regular menu.
Everything Fabulous from start to finish. We will definitely be back.

Likely the most ambitious "Fabulicious" menu in NOTL.
While other restos offer standard fare during this annual week-long event (similar to Toronto's Winterlicious), Trius goes above and beyond with a varied menu, and on-point service.
The details are what makes it special: homemade baguette with wine-infused butter; an amuse bouche in between courses; icewine beet jam served with local cheese; and a waitstaff that's informed - and empowered. (When another server mistakenly removed our not-quite-finished bottle of Sauv Blanc chilling near our table, our server replaced it with a FULL bottle, at no extra charge - without hesitation or fanfare.)
All in all, a lovely experience.
Just love this restaurant both food and design. Such a beautiful building which really appeals to me. Staff are excellent at their jobs offering perfect levels of service and knowledge of the dishes they are serving. Only a pleasure to dine here.

Delicious lunch menu. Took my partner for her birthday lunch at Trius, they treated us for sparkling wine on the house. Delicious options for lunch. Very flexible in terms of substituting main for appetizer or dessert.

Lovely food and estate wine during a lengthy lunch. It was worth travelling from Europe for lunch.
Our special occasion dinner at Trius was outstanding. The server brought us a complementary glass of champagne right off which is a lovely touch. We had the chefs 5 course tasting menu. The servings were small as one would expect from a 5 course tasting menu but more than enough. My 6 ft 2 husband was more than satisfied at the end of the meal. Each dish was both exquisite tasting and exquisitely presented. The service was very professional and top notch as someone would expect from a good restaurant. The decor was beautiful, contemporary and fun but of very good quality. We both considered this one of the best fine restaurant meals that we have had and we have certainly eaten in our fair share of fine restaurants.

From the moment we entered the restaurant area, we were impressed and it only got better as the luncheon continued. Simple but elegant gold spheres which hang from the ceiling add to a lovely ambiance. Wonderful menu selection - we opted for the scallops appetizer, which was seared to perfection. As the main course, we had the braised lamb shanks, tender and delectable. Our server, Joanna, was professional and provided excellent customer service. We were treated to a complimentary sparkling wine in honour of my friend's birthday - how classy! Well done, everyone at Trius!!! We will be back when we are in the area again.
Ambiance fabulous. Service fast and friendly. Wait staff knowledgeable. Varied menu. Definitely expensive. Only criticism is the soup was barely warm.
It was a delicious lunch. The merlot was a perfect choice. We will return for sure.
Food and service were good. Atmosphere with a number of young patrons was disturbing as we were celebrating a special occasion. m Perhaps we could have been seated in a different area
The whole experience was fantastic. The food was good with a great presentation and the staff were exceptional. Great place for a date! Would definitely recommend.
Fabulous Thanksgiving Lunch! Trius never disappoints!
The weather was too cold this time but we usually get seated on the patio overlooking the vineyards. Staff are outstanding. Food is from local producers and wine is top quality.
Enjoyed the butternut squash soup as an appetizer. It was so yummy, my only comment is that I thought the portion size was small. I had the Halibut for my entree. Also delicious!
On Sunday the restaurant provides a 3 course meal for a very reasonable price. Food v good and great service.
Only suggestion is to give clients the opportunity to order a la cart in case they don’t want 3 course meal.
Overall we definitely suggest this place!
We waited 30 min after being on time for our restervation, we were given a free glass of wine though. Food was very good, but not mind blowing. Our server was incredible and although it was night and little could be seen, the grounds seemed very cute, would love to go back for lunch for the full effect.
The food was amazing. Every course on the tasting menu was delectable, especially the beef ribeye, which was comparable to wagyu which melts in your mouth yet not as fatty. The dishes were made with high quality ingredients. Love everything and will definitely recommend Trius to all our friends. We will return for sure! Our server was Cherina. She did a great job explaining everything and was very genuine. Her excellent service made our already superb meal even more memorable.
The food - from presentation to taste was superb. Lovely, imaginative dishes were on offer. We were a table of three and we all enjoyed the dishes we chose. Even their salad was deconstructed and presented in such a beautiful manner. Our server was also very knowledgeable and attentive without being all over us. And the setting is so very pretty and overlooking the vineyards lends itself to a very relaxing environment.
My only suggestion for improvement would be with the front door hosting staff. The restaurant had many empty tables, including many tables empty on the patio - but the gentleman on the front desk acted harried and was turning disappointed people away. These tables stayed empty during our entire almost 1.5 hours at the restaurant and there were too many to put down to missed reservations. He just didn't seem very accommodating plus his attitude was on the snobby side. But overall, our dining experience was such a joy and we can't wait until we're able to sample the cuisine of such a talented kitchen again. I would ideally give 4.5 stars if option available.
The entire dining experience was outstanding. The quality of the food and creative preparation resulted in plates that were very tasteful. I had the pork tenderloin entree that was so succulent that I am still fantasizing about it hours later
Absolutely excellent meal, with great service and a fantastic menu. They will suggest wines for each course which is a great way to taste the local wines. Timely but not rushed service. Lovely ambience. It is expensive but for that special occasion it is ideal. I last went 15 years ago and it has not disappointed this time. We would highly recommend Trius.
Enjoyed the wine tour. Pleasant but overpriced meal
My boyfriend and I took a tour of Trius Winery for our anniversary. We booked a reservation for Trius Restaurant as well. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated and organized. We sat at a table by the window with a nice view of the winery. Our server Brad was polite and friendly, we enjoyed his service. Our food was delicious, particularly the Hero’s plate, so many wonderful options. Our entrees (the halibut and the falafel cakes) were wonderful as well. All in all, a happy anniversary dinner, thank you Trius and Brad!
Trius has a great combination of a creative chef and a creative winemaker Always predictable, and always looking to enhance an already good thing....Great, and we have been local customers for a long time! Best in Niagara on the Lake area for dining.
The experience was amazing, Tyler who served my table was great. He explained everything clearly and has great amount of knowledge and i hope he gets the recognition for his good work . The meal was good, i had the chicken and its so tasty that i want to go back already. Overall i like the place alot, scenry is just too good.
Great ambiance, good service, our waitress was friendly, but not overly attentive. Menu was fantastic and flavourful, portions are small, and food arrived cool to luke-warm. For the price of the menu I was quite disappointed at the temperature of the food when it arrived.
