One of the best meals I’ve ever had. And the Miazaki # 2 cocktail was delicious!
I like the service and food！
Food is amazing. Taste very good. Service is super.
The day I found Miku restaurant, I knew every trip to Vancouver would now include a visit to Miku for dinner or lunch. I love Miku restaurant and recommend it often!
Good Aburi sushi. Pricey for the amount given, although it is VERy tasty
Always a good time! It does get pretty loud and reservations are recommended at all times but that just means how good this place really is! The food is always delicious and the aburi is amazing
Miku has non-traditional Japanese food. It is a unique and special Japanese dining experience. One of a kind. A must try for those with discerning tastes.
I made a reservation and was immediately seated. The wait staff was very attentive and the food was wonderful.
Wow - so delicious! I highly recommend their salmon oshi sushi and vegetable nigiri.
Would go back but definitely only for a special occasion since it's at a bit higher price point for sushi in Vancouver. The quality in service, taste, and wine selection made it all worth it - thank you.
Food was great as always, service was a miss. Fresh and delicious. Unattentive server
We ordered the winter kaiseki and everything was amazing. Despite specializing in sushi we actually preferred the first 3 courses over the last oshi/nigiri plate. The dessert is to die for and our server, Ryan, just made everything better!! He was super accommodating and helped us to substitute the desserts on the set menu. Definitely worth splurging for a special occasion.
Great meal and friendly staff! You must try Aburi sushi! The quality is the quite same as that you taste in Japan. Staff are friendly and I love the atmosphere.
Amazing food and service. Highly recommend their salmon aburi.
Food was over rated. Dessert was amazing.
Some of the best sushi I ever had in a funky vibrant restaurant
Good meal. We had to wait for awhile to get our table even though we made reservations. People that came after us got seated before us. We were also the first seating at 5:30 , arrived at 5:25 with our full party there (only 4)
I and my wife enjoyed very much the 10 Anniversary Kaiseki Dinner and the menu was superb. We wish that the anniversary will be celebrated on a yearly basis from now on. Also wish that similar Kaiseki menu will be offered on normal days. Thanks.
I rated food as 3 because my hot dishes came out cold! The sushi was very well executed, always love their aburi style pressed sushi. Not a cheap meal so that was disappointing to eat cold meat and potato and fried prawn. The other thing is my blended cocktail was so overfilled, it was leaking everywhere. More booze but very messy. Waitress brought us extra napkins for the spills.
Excellent food and service as always
Hostesses at front desk were quite arrogant, seating people out of order even before us with reservations. When we complained, they made us wait and then gave us a bad table. Aaron, the manager, was fantastic though and salvaged our evening. He got us a nice table. Our server was also fantastic. The food was worth all the trouble at the hostess stand. Would definitely go back
Overrated alert! I don't care spending money on food, but this restaurant is not worth at all. The food is average, very bad service and really pricey. I don't reccomend it, and don't see what all the hype is about.
We eat a lot of Japanese food and found the sushi to be disappointing. The rice was over cooked and the fish mediocre. I guess I should have known since it is in a touristy location and concentrates on the atmosphere.
Amazing attention to details... food is memorable, presentation breathtaking. ... service is professional and focused on making the dining experience unforgettable.
Always tasty seafood and meat dishes. High quality. My complaint is that the menu is mostly unchanging and is getting tired
Great environment and food quality. Definitely enjoyed my time celebrating my 30th birthday there!
Given a choice, we would rather dine at Miku’s sister restaurant, Minami. We found they packed their oshi sushi too much. Minami’s oshi sushi was packed just right. You could still see the individual kernels of rice. Still, both exceptional restaurants.
Food as always was amazing! Love the sushi zen it’s always delicious along with the sushi. However, service was poor we got our box before our miso soup and the sushi that accompanied the box didn’t show up until we were done the box and it usually shows up at the same time. Service is lacking big time from the people in the front greeting customers to the waitresses in the dinning room.
The manager was delightful and he made our special occasion happen even w a slight misunderstanding w our reservation .
I also left my purse in the bathroom and after realizing I didn’t have it behind my chair , oh my !!!! They had it at the safe and were wonderful because I had nothing in it but my phone !!! FOUND ! And safe !! Thanks Miku !!! Our special evening was terrific and the food was fabulous !
It’s my 3rd time here but it’s always absolutely amazing.
Absolutely no complaint. I can eat here everyday if I could! SOOOO GOOOOD ☺️
Really good restaurant. Had a great time here and the food and the staffs are terrific.
Absolutely the best sushi I ever tasted. I have been to many sushi restaurants all over the US, been to Japan twice as well. My wife and I love to try out different sushi places anywhere we go and we have been to a good share of terrific places. This one takes the lead in our book! We opted for their holiday menu option, chef selections. Starts with a choice of sashimi and than a platter of nigiri, and a plethora of rolls, crafted to perfection. Amazing food, presentation was out of this world and everything was so fresh, delicious and so tasty! Excellent service as well! Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience at Miku. Great food from appetizers to desserts.
Been here many times- one of my favs in the city! This last visit however was not the best nor worst, but I do always have quite high expectations because usually it does not disappoint. Will of course kee coming back.
Read a lot of review saying this is a great Japanese fusion place. Server was slow and forgot my drinks. Food was average. I would say it’s over price for what it was offer. Overall it’s a great one time experience, but I wouldn’t go there again
Except the fact that it’s super noisy in the restaurant... other aspects were fine.
Will be back!
They seated us 30 mins late even though we had a reservation. They were kind enough to offer us a free round of cocktails to make up for this though and I appreciated the gesture. We had the 10th anniversary Kaiseki menu which was disappointing. The only item on the menu that was impressive was the Kobe beef carpaccio. Everything else was either mediocre or just nothing to be amazed by. We have gotten better quality food at other sushi restaurants for the same price point so it wasn’t an issue with price being too high. In fact when we originally looked into the set menu, we were quite impressed by the price point and thought it quite reasonable. We just expected Miku to deliver higher quality ingredients. A lot of the raw fish we had tasted were either not fresh or extremely fishy, although most of the flavours of the raw fish was usually covered up by the excessive amount of sauce or wasabi they paired with the fish. The lobster bouillabaisse and fillet mignon were nothing special and we felt the same way about the dessert. Both pieces of the aburi pressed sushi we had were cold. We knew they’d be cold because we sat by the sushi bar the entire night and could see the cooks mass producing sushi that was made to sit on the counters for long durations before being gone served to customers. The Miku Roll and red wave roll pieces were very underwhelming. We’ve heard so many positive things about Miku but our experience was very disappointing.
Excellent dining experience!! We enjoyed the 10th anniversary 6 course meal which was amazing!!
Great food and really good service, a little noisy for a meeting lunch, but overall a wonderful place.
My wife and I tried the 10th Anniversary Kaiseki, which was absolutely fabulous. My only complaint was that I couldn’t even finish all of the food. The meal was delicious, and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend.
