We all were very pleased with everything. Long time but not frequent customers but we will be back. Jim Strand
Have been there many times over the years. Last 3 times a disappointment. Mostly the food. Country lamb hard to get wrong, but poorly cooked chicken liver appetizers, soggy underdone calmari. Clear kitchen issues. Will try other Greek next time.
lamb with souvlaki was to die for .... wished I got more roast potatoes. ... my favourite
I took my boyfriend there for his birthday, he kept going off about how amazing their lamb is, so I decided to give it a go, and WOW. Their lamb entre was one, massive, two, delicious, and three, a GREAT value.
We ordered the dip taster as an appy, all three dips were so flavorful and tasty. Their ceasars (the drink, not the salad) was also very tasty, with a delicious blend of spices in the drink itself and garnished with a grilled prawn.
Service was great, ambiance was great, I couldn't have been happy with how the evening went. Thank you Anatolli's restaurant!!
Way too noisy to be able to have any kind of a conversation. Service was slow. Food was bland and a little underdone. There was a big birthday party which might have affected the quality of food and service. I won’t be going back anytime soon.
I love greek food and had not had really good greek food in years. I really enjoyed the food it was fantastic.
Good food and service. The braised lamb shoulder is outstanding.
The noise level was a bit too much for us, but the food and friendly service were great.
Really great food.
New server was attentive and professional.
We’ll be back!
We love the food and service at this restaurant but did not like the bellydancer going between the tables with her photographer and especially not the extremely loud and poor quality sound accompanying her. I like belly dancing under different circumstances but not feeling like I might be pulled up onto the dancefloor or made to feel I should be giving money. They have a small stage area which could be used and the music was ear-aching in volume and terrible crackling speakers. Otherwise it was an enjoyable experience in terms of food quality and fantastic service.
Always loved Anatoli! Got our fav table and food and service was excellent, as usual.
prawn souvlaki was very good, calamari was okay
The decor and ambience at Anatoli is always nice, and as we got there early (11:30 am) for our lunch date, it was very quiet which was wonderful. As more people came in of course the noise level increased but was still pleasant. I felt that my meal was not as good as it could have been (the ratatouille was quite dry, and the pita bread was hard). However, the other 3 people enjoyed their meals as far as I could tell. Our server was a new employee and she was very pleasant and did a great job.
Food was great and didn’t have to wait long to get it. The server was friendly
Food was lovely. It was a Sunday night so very quiet which impacted atmosphere. Also another server was eating dinner near us while talking on her cell phone and our server seemed to have a friend in the restaurant so while he was very nice he wasn’t very attentive - forgot bread, prawns with order but made up for it by being very nice and apologetic. Would love to come here when it’s busy for more atmosphere.
Overall a very good experience. We went for my husbands birthday. The food was excellent. The ambiance very lively. The belly dancer was a nice touch. Our waiter was excellent. They forgot to put my husbands chicken in the oven but were very apologetic and provided us an appetizer on the house. We would come back and definitely recommend the restaurant to others.
Our platter was not hot barely warm.. food was flavourless except the Potawatomi. Greek salad was very weak. Mainly cucumbers and green peppers. Disappointing meal. Have had better at Anatoli’s
I booked through Opentable and advised that it was my husband and I 25th wedding anniversary. When we arrived we we initially shown to a very dark table at the back of the restaurant. As it was a lovely sunny evening we asked 3 times if we could sit at the front of the restaurant. Our waitress was lovely and the food was decent, however slightly disappointed that our special occasion wasn't acknowledged. All the staff were very young, so maybe just a case of inexperience?
We had not been to Anatoli's for a while and back in the day loved going..we made reservations, but it didn't seem to matter. Very slow in taking our orders. Our waiter seemed distracted. Food..just ok. Maybe it's us and we've just outgrown it. I wish them all the best!
Splendid evening with friends over your best wine! The best Greek lamb and freshest spani anywhere. Big thanks to our server Kostas, a very warm soul. We felt so cared for - esp the special needs person in our party. Kostas paid careful attention to him, and patiently deciphered his language. That meant so much.
Nice place for a lunch or dinner
Great food and service.
In the past this restaurant had very good food. Unfortunately, our meal started with an order of overcooked pita (some pieces burnt) with humua followed by an order of undercooked and hard pita with humus.
The greek salad with the meal also did not taste fresh. We noticed there was a stack of greek salads sitting in the prep area, so not surprising it didn't taste fresh.
My prawn souvlaki was ok, but the rest of the dish was sub-standard compared to what we've had at this restaurant in the past.
Service and food were great. Recommended for friends or business get-togethers.
Always enjoy the food. Salads very fresh and happy to tailor make. Good friendly service. One of our favourite spots.
Best restaurant ever! Great food and music! Beautiful and nicely dressed employees.
Best Greek restaurant in Vancouver highly recommend!
The food was excellent and tasted home made. Our server Spiery was very attentive and knowledgeable. Thank you we’ll be back.
Great place for great food and drinks and will definitely be first choice for dinner
We were first timers at Anatoly Souvlaki and both really enjoyed the whole experience. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a great, varied Greek menu. The food was fresh and delicious. Great wine selection too. All in all a great food experience. We’ll be back!
We went for my moms birthday and the service and food was impeccable. Two of us had the lamb souvlaki and my dad had the country lamb. Both delicious dishes. The lamb from the country lamb dish literally fell off the bone.
Will definitely go there again.
Thanks for the excellent service !
The food was super and the waiter was attentive without being intrusive. Tons of appetizers and a share plate that is $30 per person but has almost everything you could wish for in a Greek restaurant. It was a bit noisy, however. Great location, a short stroll from Lonsdale Quay and the Seabus. Parking is hard in the neighbourhood because of construction but the ICBC lot is free after 6 pm and all weekend.
Great location, nice patio area. The prawns were excellent and our server was friendly and attentive.
We were seated promptly and service was very attentive. Appetizers were nice, we had olives and feta. Dinner was nice too, but potatoes were definitely left too long in the oven, 4 in our party had those as part of their dinner, Lamb kebab was great, rice too. All in all a nice dinner.
North Vancouver has quietly amassed an amazing collection of Greek restaurants--Anatoli is one of them. The location is amazing, and if it's Friday night its next to the Shipyards Night Market. A reservation is recommended, as is the lamb souvlaki.
Been a favourite for years. We've been coming to Anatoli's for as far back as I can remember. 30 years later, it still delivers good service and quality food.
Great food, great service. Avoid sitting on the bench seating on the lower level though! Back killer!
Fabulous as always! It’s just as good as it was 3 decades ago.
We enjoyed the location, energy and food. We felt the prices were high for the souvlaki, especially with the upcharge for no potatoes or rice, with very little additional salad.
No complaints about the food and the service but it was so incredibly loud, we could not carry a conversation. We decided to eat quickly and head to a quieter place so we could catch up.
