   Valentines Day special event entertainment with a delightful singer and accompanying guitarist and wonderful 3 course meal. The whole experience from early arrival to enjoy cocktails to degustif was perfect.

    I love the Carleton for the music and am more and more disappointed with the food. We were told the menu changes seasonally but not much had changed. Missing was an amazing Pavlova for dessert. The appetizers were the same and were mediocre. I’d love for the food to be as good as the music. Had a gin and tonic and was fairly diluted. Fine for the weekday but not the price. I’d love for the food game to be stepped up some more here.

    I love supporting local artists and experiencing their amazing talent in this room. So many memorable evenings spent here. Also happy that the quality of the quality of the food has been elevated substantially Nice to see seasonal specials.

    Great food, fantastic customer service (thanks Jerry) and the perfect place to enjoy some live entertainment. I highly recommend the crispy fried chicken sandwich & frites. Very much enjoyed the live entertainment!

    There are many reasons I keepcoming back tot he Carleton. Other than it being a premiere listening room with amazing entertainment, the staff are warm and welcoming and remember your name and your favorite drink...shout out to Katie, Laura and Ian. The sound is balanced and amazing thanks to Jon and his technical abilities, amazing ear and great personality. Last bit not least the food is great, new additions are always well considered and I FINALLY have my charcuterie board! The Carleton is definitely one of my happy places. 💓

    We arrived on time and were told to come back 30 minutes later. When we came back they still weren't ready. They assessed our friends as being too intoxicated to be served, but never actually talked to them. Overall it was a disappointing conclusion for a night we had been looking forward to for a few weeks.

    great spot for a drink or meal. live music reigns except on some occasions like the one we attended. A fun and somewhat freaky stand-up comedy show. Great staff and great stuff.

    The entire evening was great right from being greeted at the door and shown different seating options, to the comfort of the chairs and great food. Server was always checking on us and the food and drinks were delivered fast. Everyone enjoyed the great food. Watching the show you could see every seat was great. The bright clean bathrooms were also a very nice change from other downtown restaurants and pubs.

    This venue has to make changes. We did not eat there, but had to be there at 7:30 to get seats up front. We’ve been there many times with this same problem. The last event had tiered pricing for viewing room, bar etc. We won’t go back again and need to sit there for 1 1/2 hrs before the show. This time we didn’t buy food or drinks as we didn’t have an extra $1-200 with Xmas And whatnot. Amy’s idea of dinner and show pricing fits better. We had a great time and loved the show. The waitresses talked rather loud during the show, and didn’t ask the few chatty folks to stay quiet.. JP had to shout “shut up”! Needs work.

    The Carleton is such a great venue. Cormier and Gunning were amazing as always. The service and the food was fabulous. The kitchen did run out if my choice for dinner but I was offered another option at no cost so it was all good. I will be back for sure

    The show was excellent. However, the food was not good and overpriced. The venue was crowded and we were seated right next to the stage. There was no room to turn my chair to watch the show. Had to “crain” my neck to see

    A confirmed time for a dinner reservation does not mean “ first come first served” We booked a table for dinner , confirmed our reservation and when we arrived were told sorry there we no tables available , but could sit at the bar. Not what we had hoped for dinner. Poor customer relations

    Yes - I love the musicians the Carleton books. However, they need to improve the online ticketing and dinner reservation process. We booked a dinner reservation as well as buying tickets to the concert, but weren't guaranteed seats on the main listening floor. Had I known that, I would have simply bought the concert tickets - not booked dinner - and come earlier. As it was, this is twice now that we have been seated at restaurant tables and froze, with drafts coming from the ceiling and the door/windows at the front of the restaurant. We left early as a result, which is too bad since it meant missing a good portion of Lennie Gallant's show.

    The Carleton disappointed this time. We had reservations for 6:45pm and ended up with a table at the very front of the restaurant. We had tickets to the show - which the hostess told us guaranteed us a seat, however our reservation meant nothing. We were told that people were seated wherever, as soon as they arrived, and that the dining room was full. If this is the case, what is the point of making a reservation? This was an expensive night for us and was a Christmas treat for our family. We very much anticipated we would be seated at a table in the main area, and it put a real damper on the night to have to sit near the front door where it was quite cold. We sat with our jackets on all night. We appreciated our excellent server, and always enjoy Michael's food, but the seating policy is BS.

    I and my guests thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the Carleton but I have to say the menu could be better, options were limited by the way they were cooked. For example, mussels could be done in garlic & white wine with melted butter, the tomato sauce tasted like Campbell's tomato soup, no herbs, nothing special. Salmon was perfectly cooked but its grain sauce tasted like it was burnt something. If you are going to put out a different menu it should be perfection as most people are stepping out of their comfort zone with this menu! Overall it was a delightful evening.

    The Carleton is a wonderful place for live music. Although it is a bar/restaurant, the focus is on listening to the music like a concert venue. The sound quality is excellent. It's great to go to a bar and rerally hear the performers. The food is delicious. They do a terrific burger and scallop appetizer, but I wouldn't order the hanger steak because it is a tough cut. It needs more marinating time. I had to send it back and order something else. Overall we had a terrific evening and we have been here several times. Will continue to support The Carleton for both music and dining.

    A wonderful venue for a night out with food and music. It was similar to a house party as the musical show was close and engaging. Great burger and salad and fancy ale. Service was great.
