The Bistro at Muriel’s Jackson Square offers contemporary Creole cuisine with New Orleans classics like Seafood Gumbo, Turtle soup, Shrimp & Grits and Wood Grilled Pork Chop while the Courtyard Bar is the perfect place to drop by for drinks and appetizers. The Séance Lounge is the place for a relaxed, comfortable meeting before or after dining. Comprised of two areas, The Outer Seance and The Inner Séance, the Séance also tells the story of a mystic checkered past.     I had high hopes for Muriel’s but unfortunately falls victim to many of the issues tourist traps have. Slow service, extremely average food and costly for what you get. The wine wasn’t fantastic although that might have been our choice. Interesting atmosphere but I wouldn’t recommend at all.

    The wait staff and decorations are very professional, I loved that they had a cocktail option, and the jumbo crab side dish was delicious. The shrimp and grits were some of the best we had.

    Wonderful experience last night. Food was amazing and the service was 2nd to none. It was a little loud but only because of one table. We had a special occasion and they invited us upstairs to take pictures.

    Perfectly delicious. Will definitely eat here again. Easy to get to, food was delicious, service was friendly but a little bit slow BUT they were busy. Overall was a great experience.

    The service was lovely. The food was just okay, except for the turtle soup which I have been saying is the best in town for years. Don’t bother looking for the crabmeat on the pecan crusted drum,if it’s there it is undetectable.

    We visited Muriel’s tonight (11/29/23) and were extremely impressed. We’ve dined in several places this visit but this meal was head and shoulders above the rest. My wife had shrimp & goat cheese crepes as an appetizer, followed by pecan crusted drum over a pecan, crab, and spinach relish, and crème brûlée for dessert. I enjoyed blackened redfish over fingerling potatoes and brocolini and chose bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and an espresso shot for dessert. EVERYTHING was perfect. The only problem we have with Muriel’s is the fact that it’s 5 hours away from our home. ;) ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ EXCELLENT IN EVERY WAY.

    The atmosphere was outstanding and the food was delicious. The gumbo was filled with seafood and nicely seasoned. The pork chop was tender and well-prepared. Kendall, our waiter, was an added plus to the entire dining experience.

    We live in New Orleans, and come here about once a month. Pork chop is outstanding. So are goat cheese and shrimp crepes. I had a pear and spinach salad which was very good. My husband had a dessert with espresso in it, and, okay, I don't like espresso, but he loved it. For entertainment, you watch the ghost tours which are lined up to talk about the resident ghost. Service was way above average.

    Everything was amazing. My only issue was that the waitress had an attitude with my dad and my husband…very strange. She was just very snappy to them for no reason

    My mum came all the way from the UK for Thanksgiving and we paid for a very disappointing and very expensive meal. The food was too salty and lukewarm and with the exception of the steak, tasted pretty average. The server was distracted and got my drinks order and then the cheque wrong and when I contacted Muriel's to express my disappointment with the meal, they haven't even responded. The meal was meant to be a huge treat and a highlight of my mum's holiday, instead we feel overcharged and frankly disappointed with the experience.

    My friend and I came here for their Thanksgiving prix fix menu and it was delicious! She had the pork and I had the stuffed flounder. While the price was a bit high, it was a wonderful treat for the both of us. Not to mention, our waiter, Jason was amazing. So personable, attentive, and fun. All the staff with whom we interacted were awesome. I would definitely recommend!

    We dined at Muriel’s for Thanksgiving. Every dish was delicious. Fish cooked perfectly. The cauliflower vegetarian option delicious, all sides good as well. I want to drive back to New Orleans from Mobile to order the crabmeat dressing served with fish. Scrumptious. Creme brule with frsh berries was my favorite dessert. Service was welcoming and excellent.

    Our experience was fantastic from front to back! The Thanksgiving menu had enough options to choose from to make it impossible to decide. I finally made a snap decision on the goat cheese crepes with shrimp and the snapper with asparagus.. delicious! Desert was brown Betty with ice cream. Our experience was better than expected totally recommend Muriel's for a Happy delicious satisfaction experience

    The food at Muriel’s was fantastic! Our food server was Abby and she did a great job, along with her partner. You HAVE to try the shrimp and goat cheese crepes!! It’s one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.

    Dinner with our kids- found Muriels on a website for NOLA restaurants that kids AND parents will love. Spot on. This was perfect! Food was excellent. Same price point as many other good French Quarter nicer restaurants but way, way better quality. Doesn’t feel like “phoned in Cajun/Creole” like so many FQ joints. Excellent service. Don’t miss the spooky upstairs elements. Would’ve loved to have time to sit on the balcony with a drink. We’ll definitely be back.

    Our server was excellent. The food was great. The pesto was very fresh, some of the best I’be had. The goat cheese crepes were a treat. Everyone enjoyed the jazz trio roaming the restaurant. The wine selection was also good. We were there for brunch but plan to return for dinner.
