Place and range options of whiskey was perfect. The service from Heju and Jane was quick and excellent. Made our night there really enjoyable. We definitely will come back.

Lovely space, if a little "corporate" feeling (the speakeasy vibe could be enhanced by adding some dark curtains to the front windows and doors). We arrived early in the evening to find we were the only ones there and were seated right by the front door. The small bites were great and the creative drinks were accented with hand cut ice. Service was excellent - appropriately attentive and kind.

Great moderate sized bar for unique cocktails in the heart of Chinatown. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. We were seated at the bar which was interesting to watch cocktails being made. Pricing is fairly standard. Booking is recommended and seating is usually 90 mins. They accept card with a surcharge or cash. It's a bit dark and there are some steps at the entrance so be aware. There was a party upstairs so it was rather noisy. The entrance is slightly hidden and it is down a small laneway about 10 minutes walk from the train station.

I thought the food and drinks were nice and reasonably priced. However, while it was busy we did feel like we were rushed to get out. not sure but we were told we needed to leave after about 1-1.5 hrs. in my opinion it should be a 2 hr reservation. Had this been the case we would have ordered another round of drinks. additionally, I dont remember seeing is it was possible to book certain seats e.g. at the bar or on the couches. Not a deal breaker but might be nice to add the option.

Bancho is one of my favourite bars in Sydney. I’m a regular walk in and always try to bring my visiting friends and family when they come to Sydney. However one of the things that I don’t appreciate about the service is we often feel rushed. Yesterday they reminded us ten times (we literally counted) that we needed to clear the table by 7:30pm. Even upon arrival at 6pm the first thing the server told us was we need to be out by 7:30. We were well aware and were ready to leave by 7:20pm, we even paid the bill early and sat for a final few minutes before the staff came by and reminded us again. This has been my experience nearly every time I’ve come for a catch up with friends, and it’s not particularly a cheap experience with the number of cocktails and food we usually get. It feels super transactional and unwelcoming because of this.

Such a nice, intimate place to enjoy whiskey and cocktails. I always have such a pleasant experience here. Hope your “Pretty in Pink” cocktail can become a permanent item on your menu as it is my favourite pink cocktail I’ve tasted in Sydney so far!

The limited high tea event was enjoyable! The vibes at this venue are excellent and the service was friendly. The two cocktails in the package were absolutely delicious! The high tea food was OK. Yummy but nothing to write home about. Overall the entire experience was great value and I’d definitely recommend.

This little bar has been on my list for awhile. Came for pre-theatre drinks, great atmosphere with an awesome selection of whisky and range of cocktails - we ordered Highball: Calpico & soda with Taketsuru Pure Malt, The Japanese Negroni, Lychee Blossom and Hong Kong sour. Nice little selection of snacks. We will definitely be back when we can just sit back and relax.
