zen is much better for value ， and waitress always makes you upgrade meal about $98 ，but they dont tell this extra fee.
Amazing as always
My wife and I went for our Anniversary looking for a wonderful meal. What we got was a truly memorable experience. It would be easy to feel intimidated (and we were) if you are not used to restaurants of this level but the service here was in a class of its own and made us feel comfortable. The servers were attentive, friendly, always present but not intrusive. It was the most personalized service I’ve received. Sitting at the counter was fantastic. Not knowing much about sake, we were guided to find what we would enjoy. The pace of the meal was perfect and well orchestrated. Never had to wait too long nor felt rushed to get through something.
The food itself was simply amazing. As I said, an experience not just a meal. I got to taste things I’ve never had. The sushi was fabulous with the best quality ingredients I’ve had. Fish I’d never had before. So much just melted in my mouth. Beyond the sushi, the food was beautiful. So much attention to detail. You may quail at the price. It’s not cheap and I can’t afford this kind of meal beyond a very special occasion every few years, but it’s something you should do at least once. One of the most memorable nights for us.
Exquisite food and refined service. Truly the best authentic sushi in Toronto
Quite simply an outstanding dining experience. I have eaten at a number of top Japanese restaurants around the world and the food and service at Shoushin compares favourably to any of them.
Was great experience. Top notch service and food. Very expensive but worth it for the occasion. Loved sitting in front of the chef's!
Too expensive for the quality
Went with my boyfriend for date night. Very good tasting menu, great service and atmosphere. It's definitely on the pricey side, but the menu is premium and we enjoyed it a lot.
Words cannot express how outstanding shoushin and Jackie is. Go there or you will regret for the rest of your life.
Not much wow factor and for its price, it could be better.
If you are a fan of Sushi and you want to take your Sushi experience to a higher level you need go to Shoushin
Chef Jackie Lin gave great attention to detail to all of our dishes. Absolutely amazing!
Fantastic restaurant. I enjoyed every minute of it. Amazing fresh food from different parts of the world. Top service. I've been to Japan and this restaurant certainly is a true Japanese experience close by.
I would recommend that you ask for a seat at the corner of the counter....best view of the chefs. They seated us at the far end of the counter so we were not able to really see the chefs preparing the food.
Amazingly experience. Best sushi I have had in my life. Truly unique.
really good dessert, but other things are normal, maybe we didn’t order the right stuff
Shoushin is a refreshing Japanese omakase that is definitely worth the money. Flavours all beautifully orchestrated together in harmony with the components it is served with. My new favourite Japanese in the city and will definitely come back for more. Our server Alfred was amazing, knowledgeable and not intrusive, we very much enjoyed the experience.
Went there for my 16 anniversary. Waiter who serviced us was great! Gave us a lot of info on sake and recommend few choices. Food were tasty and fresh! Chef was fantastic! Will go back for sure!
Our second time here. Service was even better, they obviously checked their notes on customer prefs from our previous visit in order to enhance the dining experience. We had the Kiku menu again, and enjoyed it as much as the first time we dined here.
The premier sushi experience in Toronto, if you want an incredible dining experience for a special occasion than don’t hesitate...just come here and enjoy!
The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. However, the menu price listed on the website was much lower than what we paid, which was not appreciated. We had intended to pay in cash due to being from the States and not wanting any trouble paying with our cards. We almost didn't have enough to pay for our meal and ended up with only a small amount left over for spending elsewhere. If you look at the menu listed on Shoushin's website, please note that it isn't accurate!
Food and service cannot be any better. I hope the price can be a lower.
overall great experience.
wait staff super attentive and informative.
food was authentic and ranked as the best japanese food we've had.
more than just a meal... it was truly a memorable experience!!!
thank you shoushin!!!
One of the best restaurants in Toronto.
I loved the variety of sushi that was offered and the explanations by the chef. It seemed like staff really took the time to make it a great and inclusive experience. The menu was well thought out and definitely filling!
I would recommend Shoushin for those who really appreciate high-end sushi, and an authentic experience. If I could have given the food another half star I would have. Chef Shoushin was very exciting to watch, and provided great descriptions of what was set in front of you when asked. The overall experience was great, and the food was impeccable.
new egg sushi is amazing
Best omakase in toronto
The best sushi in Toronto
best sushi experience in toronro！
Shoushin has to be one of the top sushi restaurants in Toronto hands down. Precision and delicacy of Japanese cuisine at its finest, shines through each menu item. Do not expect any California rolls here. Straight up quality sashimi and nigiri as part of an Omakase style menu is what you get. Also must get one of the quality sake's.
The friendly knowledgable staff will guide you through your meal. Sit back and enjoy.
Chef Jackie the owner of the place was Humble, Fun and talented.
Loved the place
best sushi restaurant in Toronto
Truly exceptional sushi and saki!
While not for the financially faint of heart..... the quality, service and ambiance of Shoushin make for an amazing dining experience. If you have the means, it is highly recommended!
We especially loved the various fatty tuna selections, wagyu ribeye, uni/toro/caviar cocktail and the hand-roll (but, let’s not forget the butternut squash creme brûlée). The sake pairing was also very well done....I had no idea how much variety was possible in the world of Sake,
We will definitely be returning..... bravo chef Jackie, and the entire Shoushin team!
Wonderful experience , amazingly fresh sushi.
Everything about this spot is about the food. The sashimi and the sushi are amazing - fresh, lovely preparation and delicious. The waiters are truly expert on the delicacies and the sake and rest of the menu. Real pros. The setting is quiet - almost too quiet. I would not want to be there with loud friends! Special spot - pricey but if you love amazing sushi, it is worth it.
Amazing service and atmosphere, but the food missed the mark. I would have expected more in the dishes to justify the pricetag. A bit disappointed.
As usual, food and service have been outstanding.
We enjoyed especially the knowledge of Chef Jackie
and his employees and the wonderful explanations
they were providing for the different kind of appetizers
and the fish. My favourite: the Red-Eyed-Snapper and
Thank you for the wonderful evening.
