Guests are encouraged to order from a five, seven, or ten course tasting menu in order to fully explore the bold flavours and textures of Chef Loseto’s cooking. Wine pairings carefully selected by the sommelier team are a wonderful addition to the tasting experience. The wine program is focused on quality, sustainability and terroir. Wines are sourced from small suppliers with a focus on unique appellations and varietals. At the table, one of our five sommeliers will ensure selections are perfectly paired with the unique cuisine.

Impeccable service, superb tasting menu, and to top it off my date and I had distinctly different tasting courses so we were able to taste one another's dishes. Foie gras, boar, tenderloin, all delicious! A wonderful Barbera D'Alba went well with all.
Awesome! We went there for my husband's birthday. We loved the three course tasting lunch menu, chef's signature. The courses are 'surprises' that the waiter describes and explains. Neither of us received the same dish. Taste was delicious! Very flavorfoul food. We had tartare, lamb, steak and amazing desserts. All dishes combined tasty sauces and exotic tastes. Chef was very kind and sent us a complimentary dish.
Service was very helpful. We went there with our 4 months old baby and they accomodate everything for our stroller to fit in. Service was friendly, attentive and professional. It was an amazing food experience.
Only thing I regret is that we wanted the chef to chat with us for a bit since we were the only ones at the restaurant on a monday at 1:30pm.
We had the five-course vegetarian tasting menu, and it was amazing! Every dish!
Had the tasting menu for my girlfriends birthday. Well worth the surprises of the meals. Our server Justin was well versed and gave us many details of the food and the restaurant. Unique experience.
I went to dinner with my son. We had the chefs tasting menu, it was fabulous. Staff quietly appeared out of nowhere, the food was excellent.
Amazing experience. Pricey but worth it for a special occasion/ trying something different.
The care that goes into combining the foods on your plate so that there is a splendid taste sensation on your tongue is rare and appreciated. We had the seven course pairing with wine and it was just to die for from beginning to end! Exceptional.
One of the premier fine dining experiences in Toronto. Never a disappointment, always unique and exceptional service is the norm. If you have the means....just go, you will love it.
Everything about our dinner was perfect and they are very willing to substitute the vegetarian menu to suit vegans! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Having dined at George some time ago, and being delighted, my husband and I eagerly anticipated a wonderful meal.
Sadly, anything but ensued.
The underwhelming courses of food were followed by the most Pedestrian matched wines
we would Not encourage people to dine here.
It has a great atmosphere. I really enjoyed the place.
Very disappointed. The food was cooked very poorly. Our 3 courses took over 2 1/2 hours. Plating was way too busy. Had been at this restaurant 10 years ago and it was very good. Sommelier was great, by value is not there for the food any longer
Loved our table, closest to kitchen, we got to see all the action. Even a mirror on ceiling which was tilted to see right into kitchen. Server was awesome! Very helpful and knowledgeable. Drinks were delicious! 7 course tasting menu was good, but overall underwhelming. I would go back to try something from the a la crate menu.
Very enjoyable evening. Great service. Creative plating of tasting menu food. Items were well paired and balanced .
Service and food selection was totally on point. The wine list is deep and the staff friendly and inviting. One of Toronto's gems for sure.
Look forward to dining there again soon.
Amazing. Came here to celebrate a birthday and food was comparable to Bosk and Canoe
Really impressive food, excellent choices even as vegetarian. Everything from carrots to onions tasted really fresh and flavourful.
10 course w wine. Almost 3 hours. Dined alone...LOVED IT. had the perfect table facing the open kitchen and prep table. Delicious and entertaining. Will definitely do it again!
As a long time vegetarian I was a little disappointed with the tasting menu...the flavours were good but it was quite boring. I felt like I was eating a tasting menu designed by a meat lover with little knowledge or creativity of vegetarian cuisine it would have been nice to see some risk and variety. The regular tasting menu however was on point with meat and seafood cooked to perfection and what my partners tells me was a perfect balance of flavour. The cheese plates were exquisite and the wine parring near perfect.
George never disappoints. George is a gem in our city and a place that needs to be experienced.
Spectacular in all regards. One of the best if not THE best dinner I've had in Toronto.
So surprised to find an unfriendly hostess who showed us to the worst table in the house which was located next to a fire hose. When I asked to find another table, she directed us to a cramped table with a view of the kitchen for me and my husband staring at the fire hose. All during the evening, I watches as she guided couples to other less desirable tables and when we left the more open feeling tables were still empty. I had made the reservation a month in advance and I told the Hostess that it was my birthday. The wonderful food and table service were dampened by the hostile and the able location.
This restaurant is right up there which is equivalent of a Michelin star restaurant for food quality, service and ambience. We had the 5 course tasting menu with paired wines which was enough food and exceptionally well put together.
Our reservation was for 9 and we waited about 15-20 minutes until we were seated at our table. Our intention was to do the 10-course tasting menu, but our waiter Lukas explained that it was a 4 hour tasting menu and that they closed at 10pm. I wish that was written somewhere before I had made the reservation because I wouldn't have made it otherwise. Regardless, he spoke with the chef and they said they could do the 7-course tasting menu for us instead of the 5-course one which obviously took less time. We were very grateful for that.
It was also never written anywhere that the tasting menu was a different dish for each guest. It was surprising at first, but we decided to eat half of our plates in order to let the other person try every course. So I guess technically we had a 14-course meal!
The dishes were hit or miss for us. The foie gras and meat courses were delicious. I also had two cocktails and my friend had 3 glasses of wine. Lukas was very knowledgable about which wine to recommend next for her. He also gave us our first drinks on the house for the misunderstanding about the tasting menu, as well as a glass of champagne to end our night. He was very kind and quick to take away our plates when we had both finished. We had a few different staff bring our dishes out to us, and all of them were very polite and did a solid job of explaining the mouthful of ingredients that went into every dish.
The atmosphere was more on the older crowd side, with a few young couples thrown in here and there. Definitely a nice spot to wear your fancy clothes, but it didn't give off an arrogant vibe at all. We spent about $220 each, so it's definitely more of a special occasion kind of place. The food was good, but it will be a while before I return because there wasn't really anything that I would absolutely return for in an instant. Still an enjoyable experience overall.
Nice ambience and great varieties of food
Very enjoyable. Delicious food and excellent service!
Went while on a business trip to Toronto when I was trying to impress a client. Selected the five course tasting menu which actually meant 10 dishes, because they brought a different dish for each course for each of us. The food was insanely tasty, interesting preparation, beautifully presented. Very rich but the portions are small so it's not overwhelming. It's pricey but I would recommend for a special night out.
Spectacular. 5 course individualized wine pairing was amazing!
Tasting menu is an experience! Food was impeccable and service was top notch
Vegetarianism often means you've got a wide selection at specialty vegetarian spots, which tend to be pretty casual. If you're looking for something special there is often only one or two options available to you on the menu. Not so with George! My partner and I celebrated our 5th anniversary with the 7-course vegetarian tasting menu, and it was terrific. Not only did we get a wide array of beautiful and delicious dishes, but most courses saw us each getting unique dishes. With some (slightly uncouth) passing of plates, we each effectively got 14 dishes to try. Coupled with terrific service and a wonderful wine selection, George is a must-do for vegetarians looking to celebrate.
Great food and good variety of options. The waiters were very attentive and knowledgible about the food,
Amazing food and amazing service. The tasting menu was delectable and the service from Robert and Ian was top notch. We incorporated the wine pairing with our tasting menu and it was a great idea as we got to try fantastic, rare wines from around the world that really complimented our meals. There was clearly alot of thought put into the entire dining experience. 5 stars and I've already recommended George to a friend of mine that shares our love for great restaurants.
Very fun experience and both a great waiter and a great sommelier made the experience memorable. Excellent way to celebrate our son’s birthday!
We had 6 for dinner- all from different countries- and one vegetarian- and did the tasting menu! Fabulous.
They all said so!!
My partner and I visited Toronto for our anniversary, and visiting George was a definitive high point! We both ordered the seven-course tasting menu, which was very reasonably priced for the amount of skillfully-crafted, creative, and mouthwatering food we received. We each received different dishes for each course, which we loved--the food itself was incredible, but getting to sample each other's plates and discuss our experiences added an extra layer of novelty. All the plates were portioned and paced expertly, and we left raving about the foie gras course, our cheese plates, and the amazing creativity of every dish we had. Dessert was especially thoughtful, since our plates came with a "Happy anniversary" greeting! By the end of our two-hour experience (which felt like the perfect length for this dinner), we felt comfortably full and very impressed.
The restaurant itself has a romantic and comfortable atmosphere--we were seated in a quiet booth, which was the perfect location for a conversation over food. Our server was incredibly attentive, and each course was presented to us by a different, knowledgeable member of the waitstaff. We appreciated that the tasting menu could be customized based on dietary restrictions and preferences, even though we didn't make use of this option ourselves. We also chose not to order the wine pairing, though adjacent tables seemed to be enjoying their experiences.
Following our dinner, my partner declared that George was "the best food" they've ever experienced. I agree that the novelty, tastiness, and skill of these dishes was well worth the drive up to Canada. I would highly recommend this restaurant--don't hesitate to splurge on the tasting menu!
It’s always a real pleasure being in your dining room. From the begging to end, service and good execution is perfect.
Best meal of our lives. Service and food was perfect.
This was our 2nd time going to George. Once again the service was exceptional. My wife has a dietary restriction so I emailed them to ask some questions. They replyed within 30 mins and went out of thier way to make sure we could enjoy our meal. Once we arrived the waitstaff was friendley and attentive. We did the tasting menu, and we were very impressed by their abilty to match great tasting wine with even better tasting food. We drove 2 hours and booked a hotel just to come back to George and it was worth every penny.
Highly recommend this place.
While on the pricey side the food was fantastic and the waiters very amiable. Highly recommend the tasting menu as you won't leave hungry.
This is by far the best restaurant in Canada! We've tried many, but the food and service at George are second to none. If any restaurant deserves a Michelin star it's George!
