Got the truffle pasta and flavour was great! Pasta noodle a little too hard. 18% service charge is defaulted and my bill with tax and tip came to $35. Although the pasta dish was great, it was not worth $35 given the service was not top notch. Could be due to the fact that I came in with my friends at 9:30pm.
very good one
Food was fantastic. My friend and I split the two ravioli dishes on the menu. Butternut Squash and Duck Confit. Both were outstanding. It was hard to pick a favourite. Vibe is great. Casual, bustling. Service was fast and friendly.
Service was amazing, the food was amazing. I’m happy that there is a vegan menu, it really helps out without having to modify like crazy.
I went to the restaurant for my birthday dinner with 12 people. The ambiance was lovely and service was good however, there definitely was some areas of disappointment. They serve bread to the table with olive oil and peppers and when we asked for some more (remember a party of 12) they told us it was $2.50 extra. That was clearly a cash grab! When the food came , the food was cold. Two of the attendees had to send their food back and the restaurant didn't comp their meals or provide a substantial discount for the inconvenience. They brought, what looked like a mason jar of Tiramisu for 12 people to share as their way of easing the issues. I would return to Terroni, just not this location. My experience at the Queen west location was much better.
Food was average. Service was slow and waitress served shots in a cocktail glass. She didn’t want to go down theee flights of stairs to get the proper glasses. Very crowded and noisy. Would not recommend.
Waitress was horrible. Rushing us. Rude. I’ve never written a review before. But I can’t let this one go. We felt uncomfortable the whole night.
Staff were super friendly and accommodating to us when we wanted A quieter spot for our anniversary dinner. The wine was great as well as the cheese board. The butternut squash ravioli was not impressive it was plain with no garnish or real flavour just a cheese taste to it. The truffle pasta dish was good but I could not taste any truffles and that was very disappointing the sausage took the flavour over.
Overall good food and service. Had reservations for 3 but when I got there they tried to seat us at a table for 8 that we would be sharing with another group. I was quite annoyed and upset and asked to have a private table, which they then did. Also, in my reservations, I had requested a candle for the dessert as it was my husband’s birthday. Thankfully I stepped aside and reminded the waiter but he knew nothing of it. Other than that, we had a good time.
The food and ambience was excellent
Overall a great experience- just a bit too loud. I wish other floors were open to public to allow more space between tables. Kinda felt like I was on a date with the couple next to me.
I also asked for a quiet romantic spot and I got the opposite. I wouldn't go here for anything intimate. Id go here for a business lunch.
Salad very plain and expensive, main dish excellent.
We quite enjoyed the food but the noise level was so high, with general crowd noise and pulsing music, that conversation was impossible. A big part of our enjoyment of any meal is being able to talk. It could be that the restaurant has somewhere quieter than where we were seated but our table position was painful.
Have been to Terronis many times, have booked their private rooms on a number of occasions. I love the dependability of the consistency of the food and it’s delicious. Some great wine choices well priced. It’s not inexpensive but the value is definitely there. Servers always know the menu and the runners explain the food. It’s fast and a great bustling ambience and always busy so they are doing things right.
Nice experience but a bit too loud for a business meeting
Delicious food, not a fan of how close the tables are situated. Tried to have a business lunch but it's more or less impossible to have a regular conversation without shouting and definitely no privacy.
Brought a friend who had never been to Terroni's before. She loved it, as I knew she would.
I had requested a surprise birthday cake at the end of dinner in the special requirements here on OpenTable and they didn’t get the message. Very disappointed. Not sure whose fault it is, restaurant or OpenTable.
Food was good.
Food was bland; didn't offer what I would consider staples of real italian, e.g. chicken dishes, basic wine offerings, e.g. cabernets, chardonnays, etc. but instead 'something similar'. Great history of the building but not an overall experience that was worth the cost.
We celebrated a bday & our spot was nice, untill it got so loud we could barely hear each other ..oh well, guess that meant everyone was having a good time.
We had a group of 7 & everything went so well. Our server was great - very prompt, friendly, always there to offer another drink or check on us. The food was brought out quickly and everything was so delicious. We got the burrata cheese, pizzas, pastas, dessert - an array of everything and I thought it was truly authentic and amazing, well plated and worth the cost.
Absolutely adore! The pastas were unreal. See you next week ;)
Good food, good ambiance for romantic date or friends gathering!
Terroni has always been one of my go to restaurants. I’ve eaten here more times than I can count and have hosted a few special occasions at the Adelaide location in particular. This time I was celebrating my birthday with my friends and couldn’t have been more disappointed with the service! Our server Jake was totally uninterested in our table and flat out rude. He did nothing to make my celebration special or even acknowledge it. At one point during dinner the fire alarm in the restaurant went off for 10-15 minutes and no one even stopped by our table to apologize/comment on it at all. Even though the food is reliable, it’s hard to enjoy when you’re receiving such poor service. Hopefully it was just an off night for the restaurant as a whole, but I don’t think I’ll be back any time soon.
Service was excellent- wait staff were very friendly and personably. Ambience was lovely too! Pizza was DELICIOUS. Other mains that are not pasta or pizza are a bit bland and under-seasoned.
As always, the food was excellent. While support staff was very helpful and accommodating, our actual server was not great; very apathetic.
Beautiful building but the service was very rushy, we felt extremely rushed with our ordering which made it very uncomfortable since we needed time to look over the menu because it was our first time there. The music was extremely loud and very random, we could barely have a conversation. We only got 2 very slim slices of bread and were not offered any more. The pizza was good but very stingy with the toppings, I only got 5 olives on my pizza and the crust was not tasty and the pasta that my girlfriend ordered was very oily. Very good size portions though. Dessert was okay. Overall we were not happy with our visit there and will not be going back. The best part were the bathrooms, they are very unique and beautiful.
Our meal was delicious. The waiter suggested the perfect wine pairing. Highly recommend
We love this place and have been to all the Terroni locations. Great food! The main reason we keep coming back.
Excellent food, outstanding service
Excellent food, wine and service.
Cappuccinos served ‘cool’. Disappointed not possible to ‘adjust’ an order.
Overall - great choice for a pleasurable late lunch.
The food is delicious and very reasonably priced, ambiance is really nice and the service was excellent! I will definitely go back!
I know it’s kind of their ‘thing’ to serve food and drink the way they envision it, however I think the guest should be accommodated - and they are not. Also not quite sure how I like the fact that I sat literally two inches away from the guest at the neighbouring table .
New options can come and go, Terroni continues to deliver.
Terroni accommodated our request for a group booking on short notice and even gave us a beautiful, private little room at the back. The service was great, food was delicious and building is beautiful with exposed brick.
My friends were able to linger long after dessert to chitchat and they continued to give us water. We were not hurried out.
Made a reservation open table about 2 to 3 weeks ago and were ushered downstairs to the basement where it was cold and a birthday party going on. it took about 20 minutes to order drinks. After that the service was good and the food very good. Very disappointed as we mentioned to our gueast from California how we enjoyed Terronis.
We enjoyed our dinner and server but did not like where we were seated. That third level is dark, dull and not the ambience we were expecting. We should have been told we were being seated there as we would not have come. Also the kitchen not removing the chocolate from the affogato is ridiculous!
I’m used to the original location on Queen east and although the meals I ordered were the same, the taste of the food, sadly, was not. Great location though.
Food was below par. Hard spaghetti and fatty steak. Refund please?
