Very loud drunk people in the bar area. Steak was edible but not even close to the quality of other locations. Asparagus looked like it came from no frills. Fire alarm kept going off. Awful evening
over priced. I get the reputation, history, ambiance and quality, but the steak was not OMG, it was on par with the Keg but twice the cost.
As always the meal was great. Service was good and waiter very attentive
This is a unique layout and very large restaurant that has a wonderfully elegant decor and lots of private spaces for a cozy dining experience.
We have dined at Ruth’s Chris at several other locations but were so disappointed with The Niagara Falls location. We were there to celebrate my birthday...we were taken clear to the back of the restaurant-down several hallways & seated right next to 3 other couples when there was really no one else in this huge place. About 15 minutes after our arrival the smoke & fire alarm started sounding with a recording to evacuate the building. Our waiter Tom (who was fantastic) reassured us that all was fine but it was a little hard to relax with the alarm & recording continuing to sound when we had no idea where we would even evacuate if there truly was a fire. This continued with lights flashing & the recording for approx 15-20 min...we finally got soup & a salad then proceeded to wait about 30 minutes for our entrees to arrive. My petite filet was supposed to be prepared medium-Oscar style & it came out plain. They took the steaks back & we waited another 35-40 minutes for them to bring back our steaks...by then we were full from our soup-salad-bread & drinks & could barely eat our dinners...the whole evening was such a disappointment. The bill came & was OUTRAGEOUS with all the added taxes & additional fees...the only thing that saved our night was the fact that we had a wonderful-apologetic waiter named Tom that went out of his way to make up for the fiasco that played out. Our bill ended up being over $400 of which $65 of that was taxes...we were wishing we had eaten at The Outback Steakhouse which was right across the road...definitely 2 thumbs down for this location!!!
The place is absolutely AMAZING. Every single detail of the food, wine, service, place, atmosphere, music, all of it.
Every bite of the meat was delightful!
The waiter was funny and very cute.
Perfect for celebrations and special occasions.
It was way too expensive for something that was not out of the ordinary.
Food was a little on the pricey side, but it was well worth it.
Kent was an awesome waiter!
Steak was over-cooked but they replaced it with a new steak. compensated by reducing the price by half and providing a dessert free off charge. Appreciated their efforts to make things right. Waiter was apologetic and these things happen.
The food was excellent but room temperature was quite cool. Background music too loud. Service very good but overall not a good evening for the money.
My wife and I enjoyed a romantic dinner. The staff were courteous and professional. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. We ordered the veal ravioli osso bucco, broiled sea bass, ribeye steak, mushrooms, and Brussels sprouts with bacon. It's in a convenient location. Highly recommend if you're on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.
Could be one of the or THE best meal we ever had. Our servers were extra attentive. Just a great night.
Our waitress was so very nice. First time at this location and was the most intimate and beautiful decor of all the locations.
My steak was outstanding. The hollandaise sauce was cold but came back warm. The atmosphere was quaint in our curtained booth. We celebrated my spouse‘s 71 st birthday. We had A special and memorable time.
Food excellent. Quantity is huge and not exactly best to package to go at tourist destination. And priced higher than other locations of same restaurant.
Food was great but waited 20 minutes for our drinks and had to ask twice for them. Everything else was great. Would highly recommend for a special occasion cause it’s a bit pricey.
Food and wine was great. Service was excellent! The music was a little too loud to enjoy conversation without raising our voices. Overall it was still a good experience.
Good food but very bad service. We just ordered the main curse and a desert and spent two hours and a half....for 2 people...we had to wait and wait and wait for everything. Not worth it. Too expensive for the bad service.
Terribly overpriced for the same food! Why? Lobster Mac and cheese was $55C!!!!! It’s $29 on the Totonto location menu.
Disappointed! We don’t be back.
Always our favorite filet mignon. Can't beat it. Melt in your mouth steak.
great food of course. waiter over charged us and made mistake. but he did correct it. service could have been better. been to ruth chris many times in US. Just could have had better service.
The ambiance here was good, but I was surprising not pleased with the food here. Not sure if it was just this location but after the reviews I have read and received from others I was expecting alot more in the food category especially for the prices. Of the 3 restaurants we visited, this one ranked last on the list and it was the most expensive. We did not order steaks or anything like that ( we don't really eat steaks and such) but we had salad, lobster mac and cheese, bbq shrimp and asparagus. The lobster mac was horrible, it was dry and the lobster was not baked in but just put on top of the "baked" mac and cheese and the lobster was dry and rubbery. I had one cocktail that was ok. It was not worth the $220 CAD paid sorry.
The Good: The food was well cooked to order, and tasted great.
Not So Good: $ 95.00 for a bottle of Domestic Wine was over the top.
Serving plates were too small to accommodate the extra vegetables and potato sides.
Three extra servers to deliver the entries, over and above the actual wait person and her assistant, was over kill in service.
The Bad: Although I knew going in it was going to be expensive, $ 130.00 extra, after a $ 200.00 coupon was a bit much for a diner for two, consisting of two entries and a bottle of Domestic wine.
Terrible service. Table not set correctly. Long wait for drinks. Soup had no flavor. Potato order was not correct. But the bill came quickly!
This restaurant is Ridiculously overpriced, the service was poor, and the staff were poorly trained. There was a men's room attendant, which is absolutely ridiculous and extremely outdated. I really don't understand why anyone would patronize this restaurant unless they are very, very wealthy or a pretentious snob. I can afford to eat there, but I still find the prices totally outrageous.
I will never go to a Ruth's Chris restaurant again.
The food and wine were excellent. Ruth’s Chopped Salad is recommended. Ok, that is out of the way. Our table was not ready on time, then it was not comfortable with table legs in the way from the booth. After some time we were moved. We were presented with a different wine than we ordered. Finally we got the right wine. My steak arrived, but it was not the one I ordered. The restaurant has a funky layout. Very 70’s decor. There are not a lot of fine dining options in Niagara. We will try Morton’s tomorrow and let you know.
Even with the reservation we had to wait for the seating Then it took 20 minutes for the waiter to come back to get our orders. The place wasn’t busy at all. Once the food started coming the service was good
great time, excellent diner. food was great. However very pricing compared to other Ruth's Chris's Locations.
Disappointing. This is not the Ruth’s Chris that we have come to expect. The prices were the same as always but the food quality, ambiance, and service were lackluster. There are other places to go for less money with better food. We will go back to a Ruth’s Chris, but not this one.
This was one of the best restaurants we have been too. Food was fantastic, waiter was great. Will go back again.
The atmosphere was beautiful and cozy. Service was exceptional.
Our server, Kent, was amazing. Our kids (6, 8, 10) had kids’ dinners that weren’t on the menu and they enjoyed it immensely. The only bad thing was a bait-and-switch on the wine (I ordered a 2012 and they brought a 2013 instead). Otherwise, the food was delicious and the drinks were well-executed. Bravo!
The steaks at Ruth Chris are top notch. Always tender and lean and tasty. You will love the food here.
I love Ruth Chris but have never tried other Ruth Chris outside of USA. I am shocked by the prices in Canada compared to our US prices. $107 Canadian dollars for a regular ribeye is very expensive compared to our usual here in Florida. Our total bill for 1 ribeye, 1 order of crab cakes, sweet potato casserole and creamed spinach was $200+ Canadian dollars (with taxes and add'l charge without tip) and theyre supposed to have included the $70 voucher from the hotel we are staying for. The food itself was good and service was also good BUT I definitely will not be coming back to the Niagara location or to other Canadian locations if prices are that expensive. It definitely took the fun out for my taste buds. I can always wait to get my ribeye at other Ruth Chris, American side.
The best food all three of us have ever eaten
Although the service, ambiance and food was amazing the prices at the Niagara falls location are approx 65% higher than their other locations ( Toronto for example)
If you don't mind paying $107 For a steak instead of $69 then just be aware of the difference. We were NOT aware and won't return to this location again.
Shawna was unreal. So knowledgeable, and her personality was on point. First time visitors and cant wait to come back!!!!
Our server was outstanding (blond female with pony tail 20 yoa). Other than a good chilled seafood tower, the rest of dinner was food prison riots are made of. Plus, adding a special "Falls Tax" of more than $100 did nothing to improve the meal. It's the first time (I've eaten at numerous Ruth Chris locations) and come away with a $700 bill US (The dollar exchanges approximately $1.30...very favorable to US)
RIP OFF!!! The menu prices are jacked up and the voucher deal is a total scam. Would you be happy paying $107 for a mediocre steak! Joke
I think the prices are way too high the steaks are very good $117.00 for a ribeye is silly.
