A big whiff! Been coming here every few months for the past several years but this time was pretty poor. Experience began with a 10 minute extended discussion on asking to sit upstairs, caused major consternation for the staff which took considerable time figuring out how to do this notwithstanding that we had an open table reservation. Next we were mistreated to a waiter who royally messed up our orders, brought the wrong salad, did not order one of the requested entrees. Got so bad one of our friends sent her husband for the manager on duty who at least saw that the correct order was received. We were then told that we would get complementary desserts and encouraged several times by the waiter to order them, only to be told when the check came that they had meant only one complementary dessert for their bad service. One final comment, my spouse who has ordered the penne pasta bolognese on other occasions found it kind of gluey this time - like it had perhaps been sitting around. Really made me think twice about whether we will return!

First time to eat here. The food was great, the owner put us in a small private room upstairs it was wonderful to be able to talk to the group and actually carry on a conversation. Would recommend this place far r a great evening.

As always, we had delicious meals at this neighborhood delightful restaurant. It was only l'y the second time here particular friends had eaten there, and they said they enjoyed their meals, as well. My husband and I always appreciate the delicious food and attentive service here.

I've been there 4 times now. This time the service was very very slow and disjointed. Got drinks 40 mins after we were seated. Food arrived after 80-90 minutes. Just not what I would expect at those prices.

My friends and I enjoyed our dinner at Ricciuti's. Jess, our waiter, was friendly, helpful and considerate. The food was great, as always, and it was a pleasure to return to the restaurant after some time.

We had been here several times before attending shows at Olney Theatre. On many occasions, the service was so slow that we had to rush to get to the theater. Happily, the service this time was much faster. Crab cake was delicious, as were the roasted brussel sprouts. The vegetarian chili is a bit spicy but good. We shared the homemade vanilla ice cream, which is delicious. The dining rooms are all small, so sometimes it gets noisy.

We love this place, with its delicious, fresh, locally sourced food, and great vegetarian options. We were in a lovely, quiet small room when suddenly pop music (like you might hear at a pizza shop or sports bar) started playing from a speaker nearby. We asked the host to change the music to something more appropriate for dining. Eventually, they changed it to very classy jazz. Then the ambiance was just as tasteful as the food!

My wife and I wanted to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary there since we had our wedding dinner there. Food was good, and our server Caroline was excellent. She gave us a small giveaway when we told her it was our anniversary. Our only complaint is that we wanted to sit upstairs which was closed or the night, so that sat us in a small room on the lower level. It was a small room with three other parties. Seemed busy for a Tuesday, as the noise level was high with all four parties trying to carry on conversations.

Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. Appetizer came out cold. Food took longer than expected and no one was in the restaurant. I had the wood fire pizza-which was great. My date had a chicken and pasta dish which was basic and lacked the "fresh herb" taste.

The room where my friend and I were seated was small, and so noisy, we could hardly hear one another. The dinner was just ok. Chicken Saltimbaca was bland and there was virtually no sauce. The portion was just adequate, no salad came with the entree. The server was very gracious and checked on the table a clue times. She was the one bright spot. Would not go back but Olney has very few decent restaurants to choose from.

I ordered the Caesar Salad with Grilled chicken. Totally devoid of any flavor at all. Lettuce was limp and wimpy, no perceptible cheese flavor like Caesar Salad should have. Chicken was tasteless. Won't be returning any time soon.

This was not our first visit nor will it be our last. This neighborhood gem serves locally sourced food in a delicious and creative way. Good for special occasions and for every day too. On weekdays and evening the noise level is lower and it is more enjoyable to converse with family or friends. Weekends the place is packed and the noise level goes up. The historic house is charming and the food is always tasty.

Been there for lunch several times in the spring with coworkers and always loved it. But when I went with just my husband for dinner late summer, not so much. The menu was not inspirational, the service was slow, and the little room downstairs was dingy.

Went with high expectations because of its unique setting and its write up of serving organic and home grown/prepared food. Easy to find and good parking. Initial impression was positive (garden-like setting), but things went downhill after settling in. Food came very fast, almost too fast, and was surprisingly underwhelming. We had crab cakes and one of their specialty pizzas which was 90% crust and doe with good, but minimal toppings. The outdoor tables were spaced too close for comfort (they make more money that way). Though the strangers seated adjacent to us spoke at a normal pitch, they were (or we were) seated too close to one another. I wanted to listen to what my partner had to say without distraction from hard-to-avoid idle chatter. The waitress was quick, efficient and unfortunately artificially friendly. We could tell her motivation was facilitating a quick turnover (more money). We felt we were on a conveyer belt, being rotated in and out of the restaurant in record time to support a steady stream of new clients. The experience might be tantamount to future dining in the robotic age. I like IT, but not that much.

A couple of us were in the mood for Italian, another for nothing in particular (but loves crab cakes), and the other, for American. I chose the penne bolognese, which had more sauce than I'm used to and was made with ground beef (usually, I've had it with a combination of meats such as beef and pork or veal). In any case, it was satisfying. Another person in our party chose the spaghetti and meatballs. . . he said was "okay". The person who loves crab cakes got the (single) lump crab cake, which she proclaimed "very good". The fourth member of our party chose the pork chop. He said that, while he liked that it was covered with sauteed vegetables, he felt it a bit too dry. We each had one glass of wine, with one person adding a beer. Also, another person chose the tomato and watermelon gazpacho, to start (refreshing). The total bill was a bit more expensive than we expected. But, then, we weren't adding up the cost as we ordered.

We always like the service at Riccuiti's and the farm to table cuisine. I did feel that this time my pork chop was dry and over cooked. I had asked for medium rare & it was well done. I chose oT to make a fuss because we were dining with others but if we'd been alone. I would have returned the dish.

We visited Ricciuti's for the first time a couple of weeks ago, with an out-of-town guest. A friend had recommended it, and we like the fact that much of the food is locally sourced. The food was really good, the service was friendly and the overall experience was so pleasing that we returned two weeks later for our anniversary. While we were in "special occasion mode" on our first two visits, we look forward to going back for pizza.

We have been here a number of times and it's always pretty good. If anyone in your party has issues with stairs it's worth arranging a table downstairs since the stairs are a bit steep. Food was very good and service was very friendly.
