   I have been wanting to go to Richmond Station for quite a while now (I live out of the city and don't often visit). I was blown away by the food - not only delicious but so finely plated that it looked like art. The service was amazing! We were not always attendes to by the same person but we always had what we needed, and my wine glass was never empty. We got to sit on the 2nd level, with a clear view of the kitchen and staff dining room. From there, we got to see staff planning the dinner specials, as well as the kitchen staff preparing the food. It was neat to see the process as well as the final product. My overall favourite part of the meal was our Strawberries and Cream dessert, which is the best dessert I have ever had. I will be back Richmond Station!!!

   It was almost perfect. The food was fantastic (as usual) and our server was polite, personable, and attentive. We were even offered a special beverage at the start to celebrate our anniversary! Richmond Station is truly a culinary gem in the crowded restaurant scene of Toronto.

   We went to Richmond Station for dinner and had an amazing experience. The food was excellent. I had the cod in Tum yum broth and then shared two desserts (Chocolate and Milk/Honey). The service was great and food was perfect.

   Spectacular! Service was impeccable and attentive. The menu was well balanced. Was difficult to settle on a choice as everything looked great. We had the scallop crudo which was beautiful. Delicate yet complex in flavors. The black cod and burger were also a huge hit. Those fries alone would convince anyone to go back again and again. The deserts were delicious and so well crafted. The PB & J was so creative and executed with such precision. Bravo and thank you! We will certainly return.

    The restaurant is located in a somewhat unlikely spot and a bit difficult to locate the entrance! However, once you are inside, it is very inviting. We were there for Sunday lunch but it wasn't our first time at the restaurant. The menu is not "brunchy" for a Sunday, more directed toward the "hearty". It was definitely delicious and well executed. The menu options are interesting, well-chosen and elevated beyond the norm.

    We were warmly greeted by staff at the door and entered a beautiful space that wasn’t very well laid out. We enjoyed two excellent appetizers and two main dishes. Service was prompt and the servers were very courteous. We recommend here for a good experience and outstanding food.

    The Richmond Station was one of the best dinners I have ever had . The service was friendly and professional... Natalie looked after all our needs . We experienced the tasting menu ... or what they call ‘let us cook for you ‘ ... everything was delicious... from the fresh oysters to start , right to the beautiful and tasty desserts at the end . The fresh ricotta cheese and cold asparagus soup were amazing as was the steak and burger course ... there was also courses of salad , fish and charcuterie all beautiful prepared . The respect for and the love of food is very evident here ... it truly is a gem and it was a pleasure to eat here .

    I'd like to say first and foremost the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was paired so beautifully together in terms of composed well balanced dishes. What I did find missed the mark is the fact my husband requested Richmond Station for Father's Day specifically to try the "carte blanche" menu as featured on the restaurant's website. We made a 5pm reso and were prompt knowing tasting style menu's can take longer and our daughter was with us. I was very surprised when we got there and inquired about this feature, we were told we couldn't be accommodated because it would take 2.5 hours and there was a 7pm seating that we had to be gone by. It didn't give me warm and fuzzy feels as there was no time limit noted when the reservation was made. It was suggested that we could have a condensed 6 course version that would fit within our time frame. We accepted this offer and hoped things would bounce back. We never saw our original server again and another gentleman took over, he was pleasant however the timing between the first 4 courses was exceptionally long and nothing was "carte blanche". We could have ordered more drinks if we had been asked as well. Everything that came through, as delicious as it was, was off the regular menu. My daughter's hamburger and fries were exceptional & came in handy as we waited over 20 minutes between simple oyster, salad and chilled soup courses. Our first protein course arrived to the table at 7pm when we had been advised we should have be on our way. It left me feeling a tad let down: A condensed six-course meal took 2.5 hours to be served when I was advised that the eleven-course meal would have been that long and we couldn't be accommodated. So perhaps it was the trade off to dining on popular Father's Day, although ironically there were more then a few empty tables when we were leaving. The food was that good though, that we might try again adults only and call in to ask about this "carte blanche" prior.

    Our experience was incredible. Our waiter Zachary took care of us the moment we sat down. He suggested the chef’s tasting menu, which was simply incredible. The food and service were next level and I will return there soon.

    We ordered a salad with trout and there was no trout. The asparagus was non existent no dressing tasted like it wasn't washed. Has a very bitter taste. We ordered organic chicken and it came in medallion form. Mine was raw and rubbery- I have been all over the world and never returned a dish in my life except for that night to ask for it to be cooked. It came back in worse shape. I was starving but just couldn't swallow it. And l can usually tolerate anything. The desert was too small of a portion. The balance of the main was way too salty. Everyone of my party of 4 were disappointed. Good thing that the service was great and we got our calories from the wine. Cheers, Karen 416 230 6454

    Our reservation was at 3:45pm so not busy. But it quickly filled. We enjoyed the tasting menu with wine pairings. The staff was very accommodating and the sommelier did an excellent job. Recommended.

    Service was fantastic and the ambiance lovely. I found the food to be somewhat confused as to its identity. I have no problem with fusion cuisine but every dish seemed to have a different influence and this was somewhat jarring. The lobster bisque was fabulous, however one customer couldn’t eat it due to a cilantro allergy (this seems a bizarre ingredient to put into lobster bisque). The pierogi were lovely but accompaniments somewhat unbalanced. Beef tartare served on fatty fried potato were cloying and slightly lacking acidity.

    The rhubarb Turkish delight was delicious, probably the best dessert I have ever eaten. It was light and airy and full of flavour, I shared one and regretted that I did not have one all to myself.

    Visiting Ottawa from San Francisco and we were lucky to dine at the Fraser Cafe. A wonderful experience all around. Would definitely recommend the restaurant and would go back for sure.

    This is the place we choose time and time again when we come to visit TO. The fact that there are no restaurants worth going to in our small town is made up for by the fact that a couple of times a year when we are in Toronto we know we can enjoy this gem of a restaurant.     We have been trying to get into this restaurant for a while. It was a little more expensive then we had anticipated for a lunch. The burger was delicious and so were the fries. The pork 3 ways could have used a little more pork and a little less filler. It was also delicious though.

    Love Richmond Station. I’ve been there a few times and tried different items on the menu even though it was nearly impossible to move away from the best burger and fries I’ve ever had. Staff are knowledgeable, service is excellent. Unlike many other restaurants I’ve been to a few times, I can’t wait to go back!

    Went for dinner before a play at Elgin Theatre. Food and service were both fantastic. Ambiance was nothing exciting... it’s not a restaurant you’ll go and spend 2 hours dining... but we would go back 100%. We shared a salad... chickpea fritter and beet. I never would have ordered it but I’m so glad we did. Then we had the roasted cod and lobster spaghetti. Both were wonderful, and just the right amount of food. They cap off the meal with one tiny piece of fudge for each guest. Perfect.

    Food was mouth-watering! Everything was delicious - especially the Duck Liver Pate & the Carpaccio. Drinks were tasty & not overpowering. Next time we will have to try the dessert - we were just too stuffed!
