Really amazing service from the staff who were very kind in a genuine way. Incredible food served in normal human portions.
Familiar flavours, firmly delicious, casual , comfortable ... this place has been my favourite since the first visit 2017..
Excellent meal for all three of us, great service as we waited for our daughter. The cavatelli was very interesting with a great flavours . Dessert was very good though we did not need it
We loved the food and the service was excellent. We had many servers and were well looked after. Food was delicious and servings substantial. Food came out quickly and was cooked to perfection. Nice little wine list. A bit crowded and noisy but it was pre-theatre dinner time.
Had a wonderful time on my birthday at Richmond Station! We ordered the chef's menu and included wine pairings, with a full view of the kitchen! Would recommend to anyone looking for something special.
Wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Terrific ambience, food great and the staff top-notch: Thanks!
Really good experience and marvellous food!
Great Testaurant with excellent Food - highly recommended
Tasty and inventive menu, well presented and very flavourful. Parsley root soup was exquisite, Western beef tip was expertly cooked. The service was very amicable and the wine selection was thorough. Great prix fix lunch menu and price.
The food was exceptional. We had the prix fixe lunch each of us ordered a different entree. It was beautifully presented, fresh and delicious. Our server hit the perfect note. She was friendly, informative and attentive without being overly so. We would definitely return and recommend this spot.
Fantastic food, all times favourites, would definitely recommend here to other people.
We went for a Saturday lunch (with two kids). Great food, nice atmosphere, definitely worth it.
Could only get a later reso (this place is popular for good reason) so our kids were tired before we even got there but we were treated so well. Great kids options (which my picky kids actually ate), amazing starters (lamb tartare) and mains for us adults. I booked here because I knew my husband needed to have the Richmond Station burger in his life. Our five year old fell asleep midway through and it didn’t phase them at all. It’s rare to find a place that makes your kids feel full and special and still impresses the adults. Richmond station (and huge shout out to Andrew!) went above and beyond in every way.
Overall it was a good night. Made a reservation but was still asked to stand in the small "bar" area (just a few high top tables), and not nicely. Made for a cold reception on a cold and windy night. Put down a few menus but it was a missed opportunity to get drinks or snacks started. Service picked at the table. Duck liver flavour was good but was on the salty side, brioche was nice, but did not provide any texture. Mushroom soup was salty as well, but good use of mushrooms in different ways (chips, duxelle). Polenta fries were nice. Pork appetizer special was a miss. Highlight was the beef special, cooked well, seasonal pairings. Lamb cavetelli was nice, certain bites had more heat than others, lamb itself could have been better. Service was good given how busy and noisy the room was. Fudge was a nice touch. (Overall it was okay, but given that we were there to celebrate a milestone, would not count it as a win. Perhaps it was not the right setting for the occasion.)
Despite having very early reservations (16:45) we were escorted to a table on the main floor, but at the base of the stairs. That’s a horrible table because one person ends up right in the way of everyone using those stairs. But the hostess very graciously moved us to an alternate table that was more in the middle of the restaurant. This is a very busy restaurant, but the service is quite good. The charcuterie board is fairly pricy, and if you add cheese, it’s excessively pricy. Our mains were great, especially the chicken which we’d recommend highly. The wine list leans toward the pricy side, and starts at around $70. I’d recommend reserving a table upstairs, and for a treat you can ask for a seat at the chef’s table which faces into the busy kitchen (just avoid the seats at either end, which only face a wall).
this was a unique experience. Very different menu items and I eat out a great deal. I loved the polenta fries. The tea and biscuit dessert was very disappointing however the manager (?owner) took it off my bill after asking how we liked it. I was pleasantly surprised that they stood by their customers like that.
My fiance and I had an amazing experience at Richmond Station. Our server was extremely knowledgable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. To drink, I had the house-made Kombucha, which was by far the best I have ever had. To start, we had the farmer's ricotta appetizer, which is one of the most unique, fresh, and tasty appetizers I've had in a long time. My fiance had the duck two ways, and I had the beet and chickpea fritter salad. We both finished with dessert. The food was truly outstanding - as we were leaving we were already saying we can't wait to come back again.
Amanda was awesome, as were the rest of the team. She even gave us a few recommendations for brunch the next day. Will be back every time we visit Toronto. Thanks again
More casual than expected
Three of went for dinner. I had the duck and it was incredible. My mother had the burger, and she said it was ok, but it was tiny relative to the massive serving of fries. My sister had the cod which was flavourless and she sent it back. Then the dessert (rocky road) was delicious. The service was spot of. So all in all, it was not a consistent experience. I wouldn’t go back.
As always the food and service were top motch.
Lunch was the prix fixe and we both opted for exactly the same meal - quinoa salad and the venison chili
Both were delicious. Appropriately sized for lunch. Chili heat was great - spicy but not blow your head off.
Service was fast but not pushy. Waiter was great - pleasant and helpful but not obsequious.
Need to come here more often
Great people watching and excellent attentive service. With such a high rated restaurants our expectations for food were high. Both the appetizer, lamb tartare, and main course scallops were a mild disappointment and definitely not a ‘wow’.
Potato slice under the lamb oozed grease and that was the dominant flavour of the appetizer. Scallops were okay, but the nut free option with the sauce belonging to the cod left lots to be desired and was quite salty.
Everything we ordered was amazing and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The oatmeal cookie panna cotta was the best dessert I’ve ever had!
Food was great, good spot to have lunch with friends or for business. Seating is comfortable. Service was good.
The service and food were great! I dropped my knife and before I even had a chance to ask our server was there with a new one. I was catching up with a friend and appreciated that after our delicious meal we were able to chat and not feel rushed to leave. I would highly recommend and will definitely go back!
The food was delicious! Tiramisu Desert was amazing!
Awesome polenta Fries! Best gourmet burger in Toronto! And spectacular cote d’boeuf
Love the food and the presentation, comfortable and easy dining experience. Thank you!
Went here with my mum and we absolutely loved it! Service and food were both fantastic! Highly recommend! We will definitely be back!
Great spot for lunch in the Financial District! The food is delicious, yet efficient. Service is exceptional.
great place for dinner. I am super, super happy that all 5 of us had the table in back that was in it's own space. I always want to request that location.
Our second visit was just as amazing as our first. Jessica was fabulous. Every bite of food was incredible. We were worried our first amazing dinner there was a fluke. But after two perfect meals, I’m convinced it’s just a really amazing spot.
Food was of good quality but nothing special. Liked appetizers vs main dish (duck). Good restaurant but does not match superb ratings it has...
Get the burger!
Finally made it to Richmond station. Great experience. We chose from mostly specials off the blackboard but also some menu standards. Crowd ranged from grandma’s bday to bro-fest dinner. Something for everyone. Great choices from starters to cheese platter. We stuck w Canadian wines and whiskeys but wine list was full of other choices. Great service.
Birthday dinner, great experience!
Amazing burger, great service. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Service was good but rushed. We asked twice to slow it down a bit but to no avail. Assuming we had a two hour reservation slot there was no need to get us out in an hour
Had a recent dinner at Richmond Station before a theatre event at the Eligin. The food was phenomenal and the service from Morgan was equally amazing. I had the best burger I have ever eaten in my life and my husband throughly enjoyed his lamb pasta. The wine selection was good but a little on the pricey side and the pours felt small. Perhaps a reasonably priced house wine would be a great addition.
We felt slightly crowded at our table for two but we enjoyed the casual noisy ambience of the restaurant. Wpuld highly recommend this restaurant.
The restaurant is probably a good place however our server (Adom) was unduly critical when we ordered and never came back to the table to check on our meals. I don't eat rare meat and asked for my burger med-well. He was surprised and reacted on two points: we didn't want water and curtly informed us that rare hamburger at Richmond was fine as you have your own butcher. My burger arrived very rare and since we didn't see him until he brought the bill when I asked for the burger charge to be removed as it was still on my plate in all its red glory.
Environment was good but server definitely ruined the experience.
