Ristorante La Buca
We had a wonderful dinner, the food was so delicious and the servers were engaging and funny.
The food and drinks are only outshined by the impeccable service. You feel like family when you are there.
If you need an elevator go into the building through the medical business door. It is easy. Food is wonderful. Drinks are generous. Oyster were very fresh. Loved the soup and linguini with white clam sauce. Excellent creme brûlée. Staff is very efficient and check in the perfect amount of times. They knew we were not in a hurry so allowed us extra time but did not drag things out. Very happy. Will go again.
Tommy provides excellent service. Food is always delicious.
Looking for spectacular gnocchi, try the potato gnocchi. Soft as little pillows and the sauce is to live for, the "Mary" salad is great. The service is great and the servers are most friendly. We are regulars there and our family -14- of us, will celebrate thanksgiving there on Saturday. Can't wait.
very nice food, large portions so we ordered a lil too much but i suggest using groupon for discounts!
Excellent. Best restaurant in the area. Delicious food, fabulous service, easy to have conversation. True Italian dining.
Fantastic evening as always. Delicious, great atmosphere. Quiet, Comfortable. Great decorations on walls, and large space between tables.
Our waiter was very helpful.
As well as entertaining.
Enjoyed the evening
Food was delicious, but overpriced. Having the Groupon helped. Service was wonderful. Ambiance was a little drab.
Had not been to LaBuca in awhile, but was in city for a conference and waited to make Saturday night reservation. Was nice to return; I recognized our waiter, and he was helpful. We all had veal and was a good meal. I think the waiter had the entire room, so service was a bit slow, but we were not in a hurry.
Very expensive and food was not good.
Food good seated in room alone no other guest
Had reservations and waited 10 min to be treated and that was after chasing someone down.
Waiter had bad attitude and poor service.
Not good experience
Great food and nice atmosphere.
A great dining experience for all ages. Unique and modern flavor combinations with old world service and atmosphere. You feel special being in this hidden gem of a restaurant before you are even served. Waitstaff is personable, welcoming, and gracious. Savor every minute.
We really enjoyed the scallops and swordfish. Check out the radicio salad.
I read the reviews and they seemed great so maybe we went on an off night? Hostess very nice, sat in the back room and lighting so bright, waiter took forever to come over and when he did he said you ready? No hello, no offering of specials and he kept looking off to the hallway like we were interrupting him? We asked if pasta came with veal and he said everything comes with vegetables no exceptions! So we had to ask to order a side of pasta. Caesar salad didn't have Caesar dressing it tasted like bland Italian. Food took forever to come we had to ask him to check on it. Food nothing special, salmon wasn't cooked enough and veal and chicken parm were just ok. We were not planning on taking left overs which was a good thing as he didn't ask if we wanted it to go.
Not a good choice if you have somewhere to be after, such as the theater. Service is, shall we say, quite leisurely. Food is good and fresh, but nothing exceptional.
Servers in the old world tradition, Very helpful in explaining the seasonings and describing the various dishes. This is a great place and what Italian food is all about.
I didn't realize that La Buca was in the basement of a building, so my first impression of La Buca was somewhat claustrophobic.
The waiter who took our order wasn't particularly friendly. He gave me the impression that he wanted to take our order as quickly as possible and get to another table. And after he took our order, we never saw him again, until I had to track him down to get our check. He never even bothered to check how our food was, or to see if we wanted another glass of wine.
The food was mediocre. My wife and I ordered the pear salad for appetizers. The pear salad barely had any blue cheese or walnuts. For entrees, my wife ordered the veal scallopini, and I ordered the veal parmigiana. Both were ok, but nothing to get excited about. They both came with ordinary sautéed vegetables, and a dollop of corn meal.
Our bill came to around $90. Not that expensive, but we've had much better meals for that price.
Excellent. We will definitely be back! Thanks
My favorite spot in the city, great food and service and I can hear the folks I am dining with.
If you like Italian dishes and/or fish dishes you'll be hard to find better.
Birthday. The staff was overworked but did the best they could. Bar tender had to do triple service as host, bar tender, and waiter. I am guessing service staff would be more adequate on a night other than Monday.
Great Authentic Italian Food. Nice old school Italian Restaurant. With also nice service.
Great service and outstanding cuisine. We loved it!
The scallops are amazing. perfectly cooked, and the service is great. hadn't eaten there in a while, but will be back soon!
This was our second time and we simply love the food and the atmosphere. Our server recognized us and treated us like long time friends! Excellent!
Have eaten here many times and it is a favorite place for us. This night, it was awful. My son asked for the wine list, new waiter said he didn’t have one, but did he want a $40, $50, or $60 bottle? My son said he wasn’t going to choose a wine that way. Later the waiter brought us a list of 7-8 bottles, no prices. Just generic descriptions.
For dinner 2 of us ordered theMediterranean Salad, which I’ve had many times. It’s a Caesar salad piled high with fresh seafood. Ours last night was dark greens which my husband cannot eat, and apples cut up. No seafood in sight. I told the waiter and after about 15 minutes, he came back with a skimpy portion of seafood on top of the same dark greens, no Caesar salad in sight. By this time the others at our table had almost finished their dinner so we just ate the top layer of seafood and left the salad.
A big disappointment. Have eaten here over 30 times but this visit really soured us.
Before theater meal was delicious. Crab and shrimp topped tilapia perfectly prepared.
Good place to relax and enjoy good service (Alfredo) good food (pesto, shrimp, capellini). Very good.
Our favorite stop when going to the theater and it fantastic as usual. See you on our next trip.
Everything was excellent.
Our third time and outstanding as usual!! Such a hidden gem
We went very early for dinner. I didn’t want to eat too heavy so I ordered three appetizers. It was perfect!
The room was nice and quiet (that’s what we like- at 5:00 you get that)! The jumbo shrimp were cold, crisp and deliciously tasteful. Next came the fresh, crisp, garlicky Cesar salad. I loved the fact that it was nice and cold, it was just made. The langoustines were grilled and delicious. My meal ended with an excellent cup of decaf cappuccino, such good flavor(even though it was decaf). Wonderful meal. My husband had excellent spinach and cheese crepes and crab cakes. They were the only part of the meal we would not order again. (Not jumbo lump crabmeat) Too mushy, poor consistency. Oh, my husband’s chocolate mousse was very good (with fresh whipped cream).
A really comfortable restaurant with good good and great staff.
Classic old-school Italian with excellent service, great food and a quiet atmosphere.
Another perfect evening at La Bucca. Couldnt be better.
One of our go to restaurants. Food is always good, service is pleasant and professional and most important, it's a quiet place for grown ups to have a good meal and talk to each other.
