They were busy and gave us excellent service in order to accommodate the party arriving after us
Very pleased 😀
They had just put out a brand new menu and was out first time being there on an outing. Some of the other reviews weren't that great but we took a chance and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was very well prepared and hot. Fish and chips were excellent as well as the salt and pepper wings. Beer and wine selections were adequate for this out of the way gem looking out onto the marina. Would recommend to anyone.
Lovely ambiance on the deck. The warm seafood salad was excellent. I still miss the salmon sliders. The price of single glasses of wine was eye-watering, certainly on the high side even in the face of typical industry gouging. Still we had a lovely time.
We had a lovely dinner. Great service, nice view, food was good. We had the date night special, which seemed good value. We will be back for sure!
Very nice restaurant, a little noisy. Good service. Very much overpriced, approximately 20% higher than equivalent restaurants. Food was good, but nothing special. Fish and Chips (Cod) not as good as their sister company, (White Spot) and more expensive, but smaller portion.
Would not go out of my way to go again.
Very good service, the hostess and waitresses are friendly and very attentive. The service was quick and the view was enjoyable
Awesome meal. Service was great. Nice view. It was too cold and windy to sit outside but plan on coming back when it’s warmer for that.
The reservations are for the pub but we had no problem getting a seat in the dining area. It was recommended to request the dining room when making the reservation on the app, if that’s where you want to sit.
I enjoyed my salmon burger very much. The portion was large and the condiments tasty. The french fries were delicious and the good coffee appreciated. The service was attentive and I look forward to my next lunch at the *River *House.
Great experience, will be back again!
They did not have our reservation.
And it was busy. But the squeezed us in.
We reserved last minute for Father’s Day. It was disappointing that they ran out of halibut and shrimp. The meal however was very good.
The ribs were excellent, the fish and chips, not so good. The service was good until a larger 60th birthday party arrived and then it felt like our table was a bit forgotten. No offer of refills on after dinner coffees and we had to ask for our bill long after we had finished dinner. Have had better service than this here in the past, so we will come again but would hope that this experience isn't repeated.
We had my 83 year old mother with us and reserved the dining room. When we arrived they said they were closing dining room as it was quiet and we had to go to the pub. there were some ROUGH characters in the pub. It was St. Patrick's day we asked if they had any special drinks or anything and they said No.
Our server was really nice. She redeemed our unsuccessful luncheon.
I found the place quite pricey for a pub.
The food was good though.
A beautiful patio on the river. I will go back when the weather is nicer.
The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Our server anticipated all of our needs, and when I left something behind on the table, she brought it right outside for me. We also enjoyed a free dessert, because we were celebrating both of our birthdays. The location is perfect, as my friend lives in Steveston, and I live in South Surrey - a good place to meet!
Good food and enjoyed sitting by the window on a sunny fall day. Friendly server
When we arrived we were told that our reservation was in the pub and not the restaurant. The Open Table app does not distinguish and let us down.
Food was good, bit pricy for what you get. Long wait between ordering and receiving food. Waitress very pleasant.
I had booked the pub on line by accident I actually wanted to book the restaurant . Once there we decided to go into the pub for a drink before dinner. Once I explained to the waitress what had happened she took very good care of us, made sure we had a seat outside on the restaurant side
Mother's Day and birthday
On booking the pub in error Jody the dinning room manager was very good at finding us a quiet table at the last minute.we enjoyed the food but the service needs some help
I have never been disappointed eating at either the restaurant or Pub. Excellent food, service and ambiance, especially sitting on the deck overlooking the marina with beer or wine in hand!
Having just moved to Tsawwassen I have been looking for places to go for dinners. RiverHouse proved to be a gem. Based on my first visit, I'll be a regular and recommend it to my friends.
Went here as everywhere else was full. Had an amazing meal. Left wondering why it wasnt busy. I will definately go back.
Had always wanted to try this restaurant having seen it from the highway, also a co-worker endorsed it! It was my birthday so my husband & I decided to give it a try..it certainly didn't disappoint! It was a lovely day, so we sat on the deck looking out to the marina, the food was amazing, I had a seafood gratin dish with side spinach salad & my husband had a caesar salad with blackened halibut.
Would definitely go here again!
I booked through the website and thought I was booking for the RESTAURANT for Father's Day, I even phoned to confirm I had made a reservation in the RESTAURANT as I was a little unsure about booking online. I was told that YES I had made a reservation at the restaurant. Secondly I had seen that they were offering a buffet for Father's Day, but not being a fan of buffet's asked if the menu would still be available - SURE they said. Showed up on Father's Day only to find out that we were seated in the PUB side and that NO MENU service was available. The food was COLD, STALE and lacked any flavor. Our server told us that tea, coffee and JUICE was part of the buffet price but charged us for juice anyway. Overpriced and disappointed!!
I forgive the retirement party as they were having a lot of fun but it was noisy. The food was no better than average and my seafood casserole was very dry. We have been to the RV many times. This was our first time in months and the standard has slipped badly. Won't be back soon.... if ever.
recognizing a persons birthday is very thoughtful and a great touch. The ice cream cake was delicious.
Riverhouse is a special place to eat and always good food.
The service was great, the food was amazing! I had the RH Chop Salad with Blackened Hailbut. The salad was a very entre' size full of veggies, and the Halibut was a generous portion that melted in my mouth! My boyfriend had The Seafood Pasta with Gorgonzola Sauce...OMG! Just thinking about the bite I had is making my mouth water, I'm going back this week just so I can order that! The view is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and it's just a great place to go.
My review is actually for the restaurant. When I made the reservation for a group of 6 I thought I was reserving a table in the restaurant. Although the restaurant was expected to be full the staff accommodated us very nicely by moving tables around and finding a lovely corner for my group.
Took our food more than 40 min to arrive
Then the fish was cold and steak seemed overcooked.
Not a great experience.
We went on a Thursday evening - four people.e - and decided to order off the tapas menu. All the selections we shared were wonderful - great presentation and excellent taste. We had a nice view of the boats at the adjacent marina. This is a peaceful spot, and the servers created a relaxing dinner atmosphere for us.
My husband and I took our moms to the Riverhouse's dining room side for Thanksgiving dinner. We had a lovely meal and our moms both loved it. The food was very good but I wouldn't say it was exceptional. However, given the location and ease of getting there with our family, we'll definitely be back.
great seafood salad and desserts were delicious
service was friendly and we were well looked after
Our last three visits there have been a little disappointing. Long waits to order and receive our food and beverages and the food was less than fantastic. I'm not sure we'll go back anytime soon. Three strikes and take a break.
I've been to Riverhouse many many times. This was a lovely warm Thursday evening having dinner with friends. It was a little distracting to have the restaurant manager packing up the seat cushions and moving tables and chairs around that would normally be done at closing time, while we were having our meal. A little disappointed in the value of my meal compared to other restaurants in the area.
We were not very inspired when we first perused the menu but ordered the seared tuna to start which was delicious. Then I had the cajun chicken on a ciabatta with salad and was quite happy with it. My husband had the oysters and fries and was satisfied with his meal. All in all, it was a good meal.
Over all very good experience. Smoked salmon eggs Benny was great!
The Salmon burgers were wonderful, a fillet not a pattie. The house salad dressing was perfect.
Good summer memories, so we came back on Dec 31. Food was very good. The wait staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. It was a good evening for us.
We were so disappointed, we were looking forward to a Thanksgiving dinner in the dining room at the Riverhouse we even brought 2 guests with us to enjoy the restaurant. When we arrived they informed us a private party of 65 had the use of the dining room so we would be seated in the pub.
The turkey dinner that we all were looking forward to was 2 slicess of the rolled turkey on drsg with just a very small amount of gravy on th turkey. We had to ask for more gravy for the mashed potatoes and more cranberries. The pumpkin pie they served was very dry and not tasty at all.
All in all it was a very disappointing Thanksgiving dinner will not trust them again.
