   Sat in the bar because we waited (along with a few other people) for a hostess for about 15 minutes she was nowhere to be found. The bar atmosphere was nice and the service was good. The food was meh. Everything was luke warm including French onion soup which is usually to hot to eat…Husbands steak was overcooked and the salad dressing watered down.

   Recommend the Mussels as an appetizer.. 50 day steak had good flavor Menu has not changed that much over the years which is why we keep coming back. Something from from old Austin....not much is left sad to say.

   Service was great as usual, but the food wasn’t up to Roaring Fork standards. Our table mostly ordered our ‘norms’ and all six of us felt previous visits had been better. I’m sure we’ll repeat, just hope the kitchen is back to normal next time.

    We had reservations and requested a booth, but we’re seated at a very small table. It was beyond noisy to the point you couldn’t have a conversation. The service was not good, and the food did not reflect the price.

    Exceptional staff, food and wine list. This restaurant never fails to thrill us. I love the cozy feel, unlike the new industrial designs. You can actually have a conversation here.

    Very accommodating to change of reservation at last minute. Service was terrific. Waiter was very efficient and helpful explaining the menu. Food was excellent. Was very happy that we Ickes this restaurant. :)

    I was visiting Austin for my birthday. This was the worst experience I’ve had in a while. My partner and I are foodies and the disrespect and micro aggressions we received at this establishment were not okay and we will never dine here again. There is far better food available than a place that does not treat every table with the sane respect and have no accountability for serving raw food, giving no recommendations or attention and basically throwing the check at us.

    Lovely place. Good food. Even better drinks. Good experience but it seemed like our server had way too many tables or something. He was knowledgeable and very pleasant, but it took us an hour to place our order. At one point we didn't see him for 25-30 minutes in our area of the dining room at all.     Austin needs to higher their standards. Reservation was for 8:45 PM. We checked in and sat at the bar at 8:20 PM. Bar tenders were checked out, don’t know alcohol or drinks when asked for a refreshing vodka cocktail that’s not too sweet. Received a text the table was ready, closed the tab then went to the hostess stand to check in within 3 minutes. They are confused and ask us to wait because “we didn’t respond”. We sat down to eat. The waiter initially was nice, patient and understanding. However, there is no excuse for the quality and presentation of the food served to us tonight. The queso was served like water. We were confused but they quickly replaced it and it grew on us. The chorizo with mussels was also okay but nothing to call home about. We thought this was an entree place, we were terribly wrong. The entrees and drinks took a while, some strange latency between the appetizers. The fries were salted pieces of rubber. Steak was chewy fat on a bed of oil and water. The street corn was definitely canned and the burger was unappealing. We asked the waiter to try the food. We explained it’s unacceptable. The manager returned and started with “we are done here tonight”. She was the most unprofessional disgusting human. Grossly inappropriately telling us to leave or they will force us to leave, as if we are wrong and she’s the hero. Coming from restaurant background, she had absolutely no empathy or hospitality experience whatsoever. She accused us of cursing and throwing food. Then continued to make a spectacle as she so courageously escorted us to the exit. We were so relieved to be out of this place. This establishment is by far, the worst restaurant experience we have ever had.

    Great restaurant. We went in thinking we’d get steaks…. but the salad, Brussels, burger were so absolutely delicious that we didn’t get that far. Our waiter, Louis, was amazing. Fun night! We’d go back when visiting Austin again.

    Due to traffic, construction and weather i was late for my reservation by 45 minutes. Took 2 hours and 15 minutes to get there from 59 miles away. Called and staff very understanding. Had only 25 minutes before we had to be at meet and great at stateside. Seating staff advised waiter and we didn’t have time to eat as planned. Luis had us an appetizer and our drinks within 5 minutes. We have been there 4 times before, but only for drinks. We were going to have dinner this time but circumstances prevented. We will be back and plan on having a great meal. We really appreciate the understanding and service provided and look forward to our next visit.

    Appetizers were great! But I ordered the New York Strip Medium Rare and the cut was so thick that the center was completely raw, I had to take half of it home and cook it a little longer to get it to the point of rare. Other than that service was good and the atmosphere was nice.

    Just meh. None of the meals we had was anything to write home about. I think they used all the garlic in Austin in the Caesar salad dressing. The pecan pie crust was way too thick and the steak (50 days aged) was tough. Overall less than impressed.

    We made a reservation to have dinner for the first time at Roaring Fork, before taking in a concert at the Paramount a few doors away. We were notified that our table was ready about 15 minutes early and were seated immediately upon arrival. Husband got a filet mignon, I had the salmon along with several sides and a shared dessert. Food was delicious and well-presented, and our server Shelby was attentive and friendly. A bit of sticker shock on the steak price, but it's comparable to any quality restaurant in the Austin area these days, so no complaints. We would definitely go back for a date night when visiting the Paramount or other local attractions.

    Not worth the money. Sides don't come with the steaks you have to pay extra for your sides. Was have to tell them everytime we wanted to order apps and our entrees. We where celebrating both of our birthdays and never was offered desserts. Would not go back after spending $165 for 2 people.
