Roaring Fork is an American Western Bistro. We utilize a combination of ingredients indigenous to the American West and locally grown, including produce, to capture the 'spirit' of the west. The restaurant offers a comfortable, laid back environment that includes friendly professional service and the highest quality food. A great deal of attention is paid in creating the recipes and always using ingredients that are found in the American West. Western cuisine is not a ceremony; it's a celebration! The robust flavors and the courage to try something different is what we are all about. We would like to invite everyone to experience our 'spirit' while enjoying our food and hospitality.

Disappointed with offerings during dinner on Memorial Day. Recognizing the special BOGO free for dinner entrees… we were surprised at the number of entrees and sides that were not available at 8 pm. Food items were not served hot - and steak had to be sent back to kitchen to get a medium steak cooked properly. If the restaurant offers these specials, be prepared with entrees and sides to handle the increased volume of diners

This is the second time we have had poor food preparation. Tonight, sitting next to the open kitchen we heard and saw communication problems. All we know is m, there is NO way Robert McGrath would have gained his success with the way the restaurant is being run now. Last night, our salads were served BEFORE our appetizers. WTF. One salad was drenched in dressing. Salad was soggy, not fresh, crisp. Shrimp cocktail, no snap to the shrimp, very soft, almost mushy. Someone please get "Gordon Ramsey" to help them. Ĺ

It took a very long time for dinner. They ran out of quite a few items. Including mashed potatoes. And I did not feel like the same experience, and I did not feel like I got my moneys worth last night.

We've been going to happy hour at the Fork for years. Now that we've moved to Wickenburg, we don't make it often, and when we received the offer for a "buy one, get one" dinner on Memorial Day, we thought we'd like to go. We enjoyed our dinner, the food was good, the service was pretty good, and overall the experience was nice. We'll continue to visit the Fork for happy hour whenever we're in Phoenix.

Food is always good…service was adequate. For some reason it seemed extremely loud. Don’t know that anything could be done about it and it won’t prevent me from returning…it was just difficult to have a normal conversation.

We went during restaurant week and really enjoyed the short ribs. The pecan pie was also amazing. The Caesar salad was not cold and the dressing was a bit heavy on the anchovies for our taste. My husband likes to order sangria and it was not available.

It was AZ Restaurant Week (but we didn't know it). We had a delightful evening. My wife's birthday! She had the braised beef rib and caesar salad. I had the filet and salad, both cooked perfectly. Don't miss the pecan pie! Service was exceptional. We sat on the patio with our service dog who was graciously accepted and treated to a cold bowl of water! Outstanding and we will be back - we live next door

I've eaten at roaring fork many times and several times for restaurant week. I was a little disappointed in my short ribs, because mine was very fatty, with a big chunk of fat occupying a pretty decent portion. This I'm sure is just random and unfortunate and I dont really hold them responsible, but it did take away from my usual 5 star reviews. additonally, if we had ordered the duck for restaurant week, it would have been more expensive than just ordering the duck with appetizer and dessert, so that option should have been priced around $44.

I chose this restaurant as a part of Arizona Restaurant Week's available options. Unfortunately there was a piece of plastic in my mixed salad. Otherwise, the salad itself was really good. I got the braised short ribs which was delicious as was the side of roasted corn. The cheesecake dessert was really good as well. It was a good value and overall pretty good. I was just disappointed with the plastic in the first course.

The order that I placed, was listed with a sauce, I Had a very thin line of sauce outline around the plate, What little I could taste of it, was good, and it would have accented the entree. We asked to substitute the vegetable, served with the dish, they would not do it, (most restaurant will do this) we gave the vegetable to our friend, she said it tasted terrible, and she could not eat it. The Dessert was listed as a cheesecake with the berry sauce served with it mixed in and drizzled on top. The berry's served on the top was not the berry advertise. The address of the restaurant was on Scottsdale road, the Restaurant actually face the cross street, and could not be seen from Scottsdale road, making finding the restaruant very difficult to fine, especially with signage on the road. We decided for the price of the meals, it was not worth the trip to go there, and just down the road is several good restaurants that serve better food and at a better price. Of the three of us dining, none of us were impressed with the place............

I found Roaring Fork in Scottsdale through researching different steak houses in the area for my 5 year wedding anniversary. I opted for this place because of the rave reviews, the price point, and the photos of the restaurant were very inviting. I reserved a table for two, outside, at 8 pm, with over 24 hours notice. Nothing on opentable told me that this would be unavailable. My wife and I came in and stood waiting a few minutes for the hostess, which she showed up and seemed very pleasant. She asked if it was our anniversary and said congratulations which was nice, then proceeded to sit us inside directly in front of the expo line. The expo line is where the open kitchen pushes out food, so naturally this is the loudest, hottest area of the restaurant. I didn’t want to cause an issue on our night but it really was a terrible place to be seated. Then I watched as she continued to seat 20 year old men in t shirts out on the patio for the rest of the night. Once our server came over, he immediately asked about alcohol. We didn’t feel like ordering drinks because of the initial experience so from then on we were basically forgotten. They had a three course special going on with a variety of options for $55, which is a very good date night option, with salad, entree, and dessert. My wife ordered this option with a Caesar salad, 8 oz filet mignon (medium), and the chocolate torte. The Caesar was gross. It was literally wet romaine, unfortunately the dressing had been watered down beyond repair, so neither of us could finish it. I ordered the 16oz NY strip (medium rare) and a side of mashed potatoes, since no sides come with the $55 steak. The potatoes were decent but definitely needed salt. The steak was cooked correctly and so I don’t have many complaints about my portion. The filet mignon however came out cooked to barely medium rare if not straight rare. We waited a good ten minutes before we could grab our server to send back to recook.

Was overall good and I will return. Only negative in my mind is that the red wine we ordered was warm. Bottle must have been stored at room temperature. We’re In Arizona so room temperature is not wine cellar temperature. Red wine should be served at 55 to 65 degrees. And when your paying for a bottle with all the usual markups, it should be stored and served at the correct temperature range. In fairness to the restaurant I did not complain to them when I was there.

I think it’s frustrating that getting into the happy hour section is almost impossible and the exact same food 5 feet away is so much more expensive. They were also out of trout, which they didn’t advise until at least 10 min after ordering.
