    Unfortunately the server left before our dining was completed and the restaurant left us just sitting there. One of the meals was served incorrect and it took so long to fix it that she had to get it to go. We were not checked on throughout the meal. And had to find another server to get our check so we could pay and leave. The manager on duty did not seem to know that our server had left early and left us without a server. Or if she did know, she did nothing about it. We did get the one meal removed from our check. Such a shame since we were enjoying ourselves prior to our server leaving early. And the restaurant wasn’t busy at all.

    Only one other table full at lunch. One girl working and although polite lacked personality and appeared she didn’t really enjoy her job. She was pleasant and served out hot food. The food was bland.

    We made this reservations at this restaurant because it is quite and the atmosphere is fabulous. Well to our surprise,this restaurant is closed for renovations. They told us we had to sit in the bar lounge area.. where there was a function going on as well..People and noise was very busy... not happy with this evening. Mrs Newhook

    Went here for a business dinner and they only offered a limited menu (which by the way was there lunch bar menu.) There was not even an appetizer offered. Juan was a great server and the food we ordered, taste wise was descent. Would not recommend for dinner.

    Service was exceeding slow. Food was not great especially for the price paid. Salmon was so over cooked it looked like chicken. The french onion soup was really good. The creme brulee was subpar. It didn't even have a crisp sugar top. They allowed children to sit on the walls with their bare feet all over the table top.. DISGUSTING. The coffee was cold when we finally got it. We waited so long for drinks to come from the bar and they were bottles of beer...not even anything that had to be made. We won't be back

    I love restaurant week because it gives me the opportunity to try new places. Rocky River is located in Embassy Suites and is more of a hotel lobby than restaurant. The meat portions were less than 4 oz. Appetizer was tiny and all deserts came with a dollop of whipped cream. Bread pudding should be topped with a burbon glaze. Pecan pie was so hard, we thought it was frozen. Server could not tell us what kind of butter she served with the bread! Not worth $35 even for both meals!

    The food was delicious. We were staying at the hotel for a girl's spa day/sleepover and took advantage of the Queen's Feast. We wanted something other than the Queen's Feast and was told we had to get what was on that menu even if we were willing to pay the extra. I asked for an extra appetizer (jalapeno stuffing) and at first was told it couldn't be done because that was on the bar side??? We were baffled and after the waiter overheard that we were spending the night at the hotel, his behavior changed for the better. He was a little rude actually (perhaps a language barrier). The young lady made the experience better and we still tipped the guy over 15% because we just thought perhaps it was a bad day. The food was deeeeeelicious and I'd come back and probably mosey in to see if he was waiting that day.

    Food was great However we were expecting a special Menu for the Queens/Charlotte week. But was told they were not having the Queens Feast Menu until Sat Jan 19th the day after the kick off date. Disappointed my wife as she wanted something specific on that menu. Service was extremely slow for as few people in the restaurant. 15 min just to get a drink to the table.

    I had the pleasure of dining at The rocky River grille with my wife on New Years Eve. Our waitress was an absolute gem,very friendly and attentive. If we still owned any one of our restaurants ,we would have hired her in a heartbeat. Now as for the food, it was absolutely delicious and extremely well presentation on each plate. We live only a short distance from the Embassy Suites , where this establishment is located, so we will definitely be back again. Not only on Special occasions but for a dinner out. We have already and will continue to recommend this dining facility to our friends, family and neighbors. Thank You to Embassy Suites for another memorable stay and Thank You to the staff at The Rocky River Grille for a Wonderful Dinner. Tommy and Tonya R

    The restaurant was poorly staffed, only had special menu for new years eve which was not advertised prior to arrival. We had early reservations and there were at the most 6 tables the entire 2 and half hours we were there. Service was slow and staff seemed to be clueless on what was going on. Limited menu already had items that they were out by 7:30. Not professional to limit the menu and run out of items so early on. Food was mediocre for the price. We will not return.

    I showed up when they first opened and they were severely understaffed to the point where the waiter told me he was going to have to act as the host, waiter and cook. There were only two tables including mine and still service was incredibly slow. Food was fair. I was only passing by and chose to eat here but won’t be back.

    It was just ok. Food was decent for most in our party. Service was seriously lacking. This is our second time there. Fist time was the same thing 2 years ago. Hasn’t gotten better so probably won’t try again.

    The restaurant was not busy and we had a reservation, yet when we arrived it seemed as though the hostess was annoyed that we were there asking for a table. Then, when we ordered my friend specifically said she would like her soup to come out first, it did not. We had 4 people, 3 of our meals came out all at once and the fourth person waiting a long time for hers. Then when we ordered our second drink we waited forever. It was pretty empty, so there should've been no wait. We could see the bar, and one beer was sitting there for at least 5 minutes. We flagged down our waitress, who said she was waiting til the other beer was up before she brought the to us, and we said "can't you ask the bartender?" Then she did and we finally got our drinks and ordered 2 deserts. One to eat and one to go, as one of our guests was leaving early. She ended up waiting and waiting and even after we finished our desert, hers was still not out. As I said, there were very few people in, so no excuse. She eventually left since we were covering her bill and she didn't have to wait for that. Then, her desert came after she left. It was a very frustrating experience.

    The food was delicious. The waiter was friendly. However, it was a good five minutes before someone came to take our order. It took almost 20 minutes just to get a glass of water. As a matter of fact, we got our appetizer before we had anything to drink. After our appetizer, the waiter forgot that we even ordered a meal and was ready to give us the bill. At the time that we got there, I could only see that there were a few tables occupied so I do not know why in the world the service was so bad. It's really unfortunate that I can't give a better review because it wasn't the food that was the problem, it was the waiter that just couldn't seem to get it together. Hopefully he was just having an off night.

    Food was very good. While our waiter was friendly and pleasant, for some reason there was a problem getting drinks from the bar. We were there 2 1/2 hrs. Total for a bottle of wine and dinner. The manager had to call in extra help to assist. Once that person arrived, they expedited our service. We did not complain but they gave us a discount because of the slow service. Management came by our table at least 3 times to apologize. Hopefully, it was just a one-time issue. We enjoyed the food a lot. I would still recommend it and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

    This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. We ordered drinks (3 sodas, water, and draft beer). Waitress came back with sodas and ready to take order. we asked about the beer, she said she is still waiting on the bar to get it. Took our orders and we ordered a bottle of wine. 2 kids meals came out. Still no beer or wine. One child had burger, it was fine. The other got mac n cheese. It didn't taste remotely like mac n cheese, there was no cheese on it and they charged $7 for this inedible excuse for food. Kids finished their meals and we are still waiting on first beer! Next, 2 of the 3 entrees are served. Wait staff didn't seem curious that 4 of the 5 people had food. STILL no beer or wine. I walk to the bar only to find that they are out of the beer my husband ordered. She brought out French Onion Soup for my husband and I but it was actually burned and tasted so bad, we couldn't eat it. We told her and she just said "oh" and left it there with no offer to substitute or make better in any way. She finally brought the wine, but never asked if my husband wanted another type beer. He went to the bar, no wait, and got a beer and paid for it. I STILL did not have my food. I asked her where my dish was and she said, "Oh, what did you order again?" I told her and she said she would check on it. She came back,said someone else must have taken it and they are making it again. After my family had finished their meal I told her to forget it I don't even want it anymore. We get the bill. She charged us for the bad soups even though they were supposed to be included as a side with our entrée, charged us for the beer that she never delivered! The bottle of wine on the menu said $38, but they charged us $40! Spoke to mgr, they took off 1 entrée of our bill and 1 soup and still charged us over $100 for worst meal and experience EVER! DO NOT GO TO THIS DUMP!

    Steak was very good. Service excellent. We been several times and never very busy. Good hotel food. My only complient is they don`t have any choice of side dishes. Mixed veggies and rice. Nothing else. That needs to change to get any more stars from me.

    We went for a nice upscale birthday meal. We both had the special seafood entree. Pecan batter on shrimp was very brown, salmon a little tough/over cooked. Rolls were hard/left over - replacements were better. KJ Wine was very pricy at 3-4 times their cost. No B-day acknowledgement. Our 3rd try - all disappointing. So we will not be back or recommending to others.

    It is a horrible restaurant, do not go. We waited for 25 minuets and no one ever came to take our order. Poorly managed and it is at a cheap hotel. I go to very good restaurants on a regular basis, this was near the worst.

    The chicken bruschetta, the mashed potatoes, and the cheesecake for Queen Fest Week were delicious. The service from Jorge and Domanique were superb. We will be back!!!
