Very empty restaurant which was odd for a Saturday night. Sound track was a distracting set of Christmas songs. Service was slow (despite empty restaurant) and missed an item on our order. Food was fine but a little uninspired.

We hit the jackpot on date night. The hostess was kind and helpful, our waitress was genuine and fantastic! I had cod with beet risotto and it was AMAZING. I stole a bite of the beef tournade (sp) and it was so tender and flavourful. The only thing lacking was it seemed like it was getting dated, or old in there - washrooms had dirt/rust in them, and there was a good layer of dust on the sideboard we were seated next to by the window. I was kind of surprised!

Haven’t been to the Rosewater in years- I won’t go back! The food was not enjoyable at all. All five of us left a good portion on our plates because we all felt the same. Coffee was serviced warm not hot and spilled down the side of the cup. A big disappointment especially given the price point. The restaurant is large and was very empty- now I know why...

We were greeted by an excellent hostess who took our coats and brought us to our table. The waiter was friendly, and assisted us with our wine preferences very adeptly. For appetizers we got the pan-seared scallops and an endive salad. The scallops were cooked nicely, and served on a risotto bed which was pleasant. The endive salad was very heavy in olive oil and we couldn't taste any pumpkin seed vinaigrette at all - it was unfortunate because it took away from the excellent fresh greens and wild mushrooms that were used in the salad - we didn't have more than a bite or two. There was no fixing this because the kitchen preps their vinaigrette earlier in the evening, so they took it off of our bill instead since there were no other green salad options available from what we could see. Our mains were the beef tournedos and the rack of lamb. We ordered and correctly received them medium rare. The rack of lamb was served with asparagus and a small couscous dish, and the glaze was a pomegranate blend which gave a nice hint of sweetness to the lamb. The tournedos were served alongside some fingerling potatoes with goat cheese and their own glaze, which flavour did not stand out as much as the rack of lamb's glaze. Overall we found the service to be excellent but the food to not match up to our expectations of an upscale dinner out. However, we found that the pricing was reasonable considering the adequate portions and excellent service received. We would consider returning again, but will be continuing our hunt for a restaurant that simply amazes us in both quality and flavour.

We came to Rosewater for our friends birthday. The food was delicious, however the service was one of the worst experiences I have had. Our server did not check up on us, and we were constantly having to ask random staff for things like drinks, eta of food etc. Our drinks took at least 15 minutes to come to the table, and that’s after the long wait just to take our drink orders. One of our friends meals was not punched in, so she waited over an hour and a half for her meal, and was only comped a drink. It just felt like we were completely overlooked, and I am very disappointed with the experience.

It was a lovely meal in all respects. The restaurant is spacious and equipped for private dinners and groups. Service was personable and very attentive. My wife had beef tournado cooked to her wishes and I had onion soup followed by Cornish game hen. Portions were very ample and the chef is clearly skilled and talented. The staff is enthusiastic about the restaurant's food choices, which speaks well of the team work and quality of food generally. This met our expectations and we would recommend Rosewater.

I have wanted to go here for a while and finally used a family birthday as the reason. The restaurant's ambiance was wonderful. Had reservations for 7:30 but due to a change in schedules, we were able to arrive at 6:30 and were immediately seated. I was surprised with the lack of patrons throughout the night. We were seated at a table against the wall that had a banquet that wrapped around like a Queen Anne chair and would have afforded privacy from a variety of sight lines. The upstairs lounge, and private dining room along with the meeting room in the basement which made me think of a perfect place for a bride to make final touches before revealing herself to her guests above. The columns and crown details were just a few things that caught our attention and enhanced the setting. Our server, Kelly, was wonderful. The French Onion Soup has become one of my favourites of all time. Great flavour, not too many onions and the Molten Brie Fondue which is presented on the side for the guest to pour into their bowl is something I would definitely order again. All three of us had different mains, all of which were very satisfying. The prices were very fair for what was received. I would like to see this restaurant get the level of clientele they deserve, and do recommend it.

Went for my husband's birthday. Summerlicious. His appetizer of supposed crab and lobster arancini balls was a big disappointment. Very bland. Didn't taste the seafood in them. Our main course of duck was cooked well and had nice bean salad however the polenta looked like it was slopped under the duck. A bit runny... his dessert was good dolce leche. I had a trio of sorbets which were not presented well in a much too big bowl. Presentation lacks here but word did get out to the manager via our waitress re: the unappetizing starter. She quickly rectified this for us offering us digestifs on the house. Shame the food isn't as good as the server we had and manager.

i WENT WITH MY DAUGHTER AND WE HAD A VERY PLEASURABLE DINING EXPERIENCE. WE HAD THE CRAB ARRANCINI AND THE DIVER SCALLOP WITH PORK BELLY TO START - BOTH WERE EXCEPTIONAL PARTICULARLY THE LATTER. MAINS WERE DUCK BREAST AND LEG WITH FIGS AND AN ORANGE SAUCE - OUTSTANDING, AND VEAL TWO WAYS - EXCELLENT. WERE VERY HAPPY TO TRY PANNACOTTA FOR THE FIRST TIME WITH A CARAMEL FOAM. VERY ELEGANT DINING ROOM. GREAT VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY WITH SUMMERLICIOUS; PORTIONS WERE GENEROUS.

Very good food, service, and elegant interior. However noise level was incredibly high. We were there Thursday evening when they have special deal for drinks. People were crowded at the bar so it was even difficult for us to go to washroom, and I had to yell at my friends cus they couldn't hear.

Although very noisy and crowded at the front, with many standing and drinking, once in the back there was less noise, incredible food and a lovely ambience. Service was fantastic. Great find, close walk to Mirvish theatre.

We came back to the Rosewater after many years. We absolutely loved our Summerlicious dinner. It was beautifully presented, delicious, and more than enough food for the money. The service was excellent and the restaurant itself wonderful. We did not appreciate the very large group at the bar as it was extremely loud, almost impossible to have a conversation, and the group made it hard to even get to the restrooms. We would return but perhaps on a calmer night!

Great value for the Summerlicious price we paid! Portions were larger and much more filling than at most Summerlicious places. The confit of duck breast was a little too rare for my taste, and I have to wonder if it was truly prepared like a confit should be, but it was still well prepared and tasty, as was the rest of the meal. The service was everything it should be - quick, well trained and well informed, courteous and considerate, but not intrusive.

Checked out Rosewater for Summerlicious 2017. We had the arrancini and scallops with pork belly for apps and they were both delicious! For the mains, we had the duck and duo veal. The duck was fantastic and cooked perfectly! The veal was seasoned well but one of the veal-stuffed ravioli was on the dry side. For dessert, the panna cotta was definitely the best choice. The sorbet and strawberries were nothing special and lacked in presentation. Service was mediocre (took a long time for them to take our order and get our bill). It is a very lively environment and loud so be prepared to have to yell across the table on a busy night.

Amazingly attentive waitress and solid summerlicious menu. Came with a group of 4 people and all 4 of us left feeling pleased with our meal. Cocktails tasted amazing, atmosphere was on point, and our particular seating placement was very very comfortable. Will definitely come again.

Went for summerlicious with a friend. Great food though our duck main could've been half the size. Nice but pricey wine list. Classy, upscale decor and lots of private rooms for groups. Service was friendly and we weren't rushed. Would definitely go again to try the regular menu.

Went with some friends to try out the Summerlicious Menu. The service was great and so was the food for the most part. I loved the panna cotta. The only critique I would have for this visit is that the pasta dough for the veal raviolis was kind of dry and tough.

Visited Rosewater for Summerlicious 2017. Once again the food was outstanding. Service was good however, there was a delay on receiving our main course (food was received at 1:30 for a noon reservation) and one of our friends had to return to work before she could enjoy her meal.
