Everything was perfection , the service , the food and our lovely booth. Thank you for a fabulous evening ..
Over-priced and bleh.
No ambiance, we felt like we were in a wedding reception stuffed into a dining room.
Portions were extremely small (three quarter sized scallops) and the preparation was just OK; nothing extraordinary.
Definitely pricey for the meal and atmosphere we experienced.
As we were wrapping up our quite, business contract signing business lunch, who came walking through the hotel lobby & dinning area but the entire Chicago Bulls NBA Team in town to play the Detroit Pistons the following evening !!!!
Food was great for omnivores and the menu included a wonderful vegan dish as well. Fabulous evening with great wine, food and the service was impeccable.
Terrible experience from the start. Server, Emanuel and food were A-1 but hostess obviously was under orders to not seat main dining room or not seat it with children so we were made to wait for 45 minutes with hungry children even though the entire dining room was open. The manager never came to speak to us though standing around, avoided eye contact and was all around unhelpful. Like I said the food and waiter were great but that was of little help to over tired and over hungry family.
Great service and high quality food, definitely a special occasion destination
Delicious meal, great ambiance, wonderful service! Love this place.
Solid food. Ok service. Convenient location. Really enjoyed the comfortable environment.
WOW! what an amazing restaurant! the classy wait staff, the professional management, the beautiful anniversary table set up that made my wifes night...than the food, Oh God, the food, greatest fish ever, comes out in a timely manner, Alex the server was great...i can keep going on and on, just make a date, and go experience this place...cant wait to go back.!
The quality of food, service and ambiance has significantly decreased over the past 1-2 years. Not a special place to dine anymore....
Great outdoor seating and the food, as always, was outstanding.
I went there with friend and family for diner
Service was very poor
The food was cold not great for the price
And I had a fruit platter at end was very skimpy.
Was not a good experience
Dessert was wonderful! It was three fresh little berry pies with a biscuit crust warmed just right!
Exquisite food that is prepared to pefection, and truly impeccable service. Dark, quiet, private atmosphere
Just average...nothing great or, truly wonderful to make you want to return.
Love they serve omelets and eggs all day!
Our server, Jessica was amazing. She has a great personality and she was very sincere. The restaurant was clean and it was a nice touch of them to offer a complementary slice of birthday cake.
Always a very tasty meal at the Townsend! Nothing else to add
Perfect place for a business lunch or social meeting with great food and service
Food was just okay for the price, no dish stood out as great. Service was lovely. Ambiance is nice but tables are very close together.
Outstanding professional service, menu creative without being silly, no rush during our special dinner. Highly recommend for special occasions!
New York strip was amazing.
Montgomery was an amazing server and made our experience at the restaurant very enjoyable! We will definitely be back!
This restaurant has become grossly over priced. Nearly $500 for four people with one glass of wine each.
Great breakfast! Love the oatmeal! Egg white omelets were wonderful too!
We had friends in town staying at the Townsend and other breakfast spots were packed due to it being the Dream Cruise weekend, so we ate at the hotel. I had eggs, bacon and toast ($18), which were unremarkable, my husband got oatmeal (loaded with wonderful fresh berries, very good), our friends got eggs Benedict and French toast, both good. The environment is lovely, the service was not rushed at all but still attentive and the best part was that there were no crowds (due to the pricing, without a doubt, but it was worth it to have a lovely and quiet meal.)
The service and food was very good. Will be back soon
Our favorite restaurant. Great food and ambiance. Love Abul!
Amazing as always
Had a 7 pm reservation. Left at 9:15. Service very slow. 3 Dover soles 2 had bones in them chicken was very good. The special pasts was the size of appetizer. Unusual experience for this location. Very disappointing as usually top notch always expect it to be excellent as it is very expensive
Very good food and service, though be warned that the two dollar sign price point and "$30 and under" is an absolute lie. Expect to pay $100 per person for dinner. It isn't necessarily overpriced, but if you're going there expecting anything in a lower price point because you saw their OpenTable listing, you'll be quite surprised. Otherwise the restaurant is nice and what you'd expect from the renowned (if not aging and showing signs of "frumpiness") Townsend.
Everything was amazing and top notch. The only thing to note is that the legend should show as three or four $ and not just two $.
We had a delightful breakfast for my friend's breakfast and it was so beautiful.
Fantastic evening spent at the rugby Grille in Birmingham with close friends. The service and meal were impeccable. Jerome (manager) and our server made us feel very welcome.
Started with their amazing shrimp cocktail and ended with one of their specialty drinks - the Hummer!
I always recommend this restaurant 2 our friends. You will not be disappointed.
My wife and I from time to time eat breakfast here and it's pretty good. Other than the toast comes out different EVERY TIME! I know it sounds small, but it's TOast! Today my wife's lobster omelette was over cooked. Other than that everything else was fine.
Birthday dinner. Excellent service
I always find the staff at the Grill very engaging and helpful. This is one of the added benefits to a great meal.
The setting was very private.
Our waitress was polite and knowledgeable. The food and wine were excellent.
Great food and service! We ate outside on the patio!
Exceptional on all levels, food, wine, and service. Love the Rugby Grille!
