Food, service and ambience all excellent!..window tables overlook the bay and Baltimore skyline.
This was a return trip for a birthday. The atmosphere is great for conversation and very relaxing. The waterfront view is beautiful and the food has always been exceptional. It tried the Chilian sea bass and it was delicious. My friend had the swordfish for the second time and it was as good as the first time. The prices are a little high, but it’s great for special ocassions.
The crabcakes were so e extraordinary I even had one for dessert. My wife's scallops were wonderful in a subtle way. My cioppino was delicious in a hearty way. Good wine list, but prices were high. Overall, dinner was delicious if priced a bit on the high side. Service was excellent. Our waiter was so on the ball, and he had a thorough knowledge of the menu and of seafood in general. Beautiful view of the harbor. Overall, a delightful dining experience.
Drinks were not made correctly and the food was bland!
I do not eat sea food but the crab cakes are amazing they have a pianist playing during dinner time which set the mood I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone
In town for a day, so a friend and I had dinner there as we wanted some real Maryland crab cakes. They were amazing! Full of real crab and not drowned out by other ingredients. We also got coconut shrimp and calamari which were both excellent. The calamari was nice and tender rather than the rubbery ones you sometimes get at other places. Very nice atmosphere and enjoyable experience.
Great brunch and live music! Fresh seafood and yummy breakfast options!
Locale was great views of the water were spectacular the service was great but not stellar as it should for a restaurant of the price point the value for what you paid was slightly sub par this is my only negative for this restaurant.4/5
Overpriced, food was just adequate so for the price it was pretty disappointing.
Great service and delicious food as always. Plus a window seat!
Table seating was not great. We were in a back corner and the table seating was very tight. We had a table for 6 but only 4 of us. If we had 6 then it would have been very tight and impacted the overall experience.
Excellent seafood and great service. The view of the inner harbor was wonderful. Would definitely good again when I’m visiting Baltimore.
Restaurant ambience is amazing, food is delicious and everytime I dine here for brunch I am never disappointed. The parking could be a little better, however the overall dining experience is priceless. Unlimited mamosa’s, peach Bellini’s and Sangria’s are delicious and are the perfect beverages to drink while consuming the fantastic brunch items. I would recommend Rusty Scupper’s for brunch to all of my family and friends.
Brunch was fantastic, but a little pricey if you do not take advantage of the alcoholic drinks. 10:30 AM was a little too early for me.
Food was good but the service was completely off. I will not recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.
When the menu says market price, one would assume that this item would be fresh from the market. Both my wife’s whole lobster and me “king” crab legs were frozen. I say “king” because they were more like large snow crab. The pricing was outrageous!!!
While the food was great, I had requested a window seat because I had invited several of my forme co-workers who were not from Baltimore nor had been to the Rusty Scupper. But we were placed around the back in the corner with a limited view of the harbor. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food but it could have been so much better.
I haven’t been in awhile but must say the food was delicious. Moderately pricey but was for a special occassion. Our waiter was AWESOME.
Omg so loud with people at the bar and could t hear each other on the other side of he restaurant
T could t imagine being near them
Every few birthday, I like to came from Philadelphia to Rusty Scupper for the best Cioppino ever.
BUT not this time (Oct 5). Expensive for 3 shrimps, 3 mussels, 3-4 little pieces of fish and not even a slice of chorizo and a lot of "Rabbit Food" (same kind of veggies mostly raw) and a ton of tomato paste.
If your chef like this recipe, very bad. Cioppino used to be flavored with saffron, wine, lemon juice.
That's the best I can describe my experience at Rusty Scupper for my big 80 birthday.
Otherwise, the service was perfect !!
The food, the service, and the view were impeccable!
The entire experience was mediocre. The food was ok at best and our waiter was slow. I would not go there again nor would I recommend it.
The Rusty Scupper is our go to event restaurant. It has a gorgeous harbor view. The staff is very professional and efficient. They are charming without being too folksy. We have never been disappointed with any of the dining selections. We were dining as part of the Fleet Week celebrations. It was the perfect end to the perfect day.
We were on a short vacation staying in the inner harbor. Restaurant had beautiful view of the water.
My salmon was excellent, cooked to perfection. Staff was great. Would definitely recommend.
My first time at the Rusty Scupper. I took my wife for our anniversary. I made the reservations online and noted that. The hostess welcomed us and congratulated us on the occasion. The waitress was great and brought us what she said was a Champagne toast on the house (it was on the bill at the end of our meal though, but I didn't bother saying anything.) The waitress also mentioned the occasion without being told, it was like the whole restaurant knew why we were there! We sat at a window table looking over the harbor as almost every seat has that view! The waitress suggested options for drink and food and we enjoyed everything we ordered. We started with the coconut shrimp, then had the diver sea scallops and ended with a trio desert! The prices were a bit high, but I would expect that seeing as it was seafood and downtown on the waterfront. I will definitely recommend a visit to family and friends!
Lovely location, but the food was average at best. It's a Baltimore institution, but I think it's reputation has gone to its head - they don't seem to be even trying to make the food very tasty anymore.
Food not fresh, service terrible, and overpriced. This place has gone downhill since my last visit many years ago.
You should definitely go for the brunch on Sunday. You will not regret it. If you love seafood, you will be in heaven.
Nice view, music and food. Good value.
Excellent service, excellent food
Food was delicious !! Amazing crab legs and lobster. Service was impeccable.
Our waitress was great and very attentive.
Food was great.
The service was excellent. The food was delicious!
Great food and service, but the best part is the view.
The food was delicious. Atmosphere was perfect to sit, relax, and have a conversation. Piano music in the background was very soothing. Our waitress, Sarah, was wonderful! Her menu recommendations as well as her perfect timing in bringing our food and checking in with us was very much appreciated as we were able to have a relaxing dinner and enjoy the views of the harbor.
Food was good and healthy. Very quite and classy restaurant... Loved it
Amazing view, great food, friendly service, warm ambiance. Perfect for locals or out of towners
Wonderful dining experience for out of town dinner
EXCELLENT service, food, and eating environment. Would highly recommend to anyone selecting high quality seafood. FIRST RATE!! Would like to attend weekend brunch with the stated stipulation to the server that they add shrimp & grits to the brunch menu. Hopefully that will be added to the menu.
