The petit fillet (alberta) steak was quite bland, made it hard to enjoy the entirety of it. A bit of rosemary and salt would have gone quiet the ways with it. The cake was disappointing. We got the Chocolate sin cake but it wasn’t cake. It was a chunk of dry fudge. We were hoping from the description for some real cake and a layer of raspberry sauce inside and then the ganache on top but it was just a too rich messy, over priced hunk of chocolate. The raspberry sauce need to be on the cake not the plate. And the strawberry would’ve have been nicer with it had there been more and had the top been properly cut off. Something is needed to break up the fudge. Otherwise service was impeccable, or servers Tamara and Syed did an excellent job.

I would really prefer grass fed, grass finished beef- at least have the option. The beef here is corn fed- huge difference when it comes to the health of the beef that you are eating and especially for the prices they are charging for a steak. I was not impressed with the parking situation for the downtown location and for that reason, I will never return to this location. The parkade was full, the parking lot outside the restaurant was full so we went back to the parkade AGAIN- only to walk way too far to get to the restaurant. Food was good. Wine selection was good. Baked potato was very bland. While we were talking to our server and not looking, a male server took our dessert that we were not done eating.

We have definitely had better steak previously at Ruth’s Chris. This time, our steak wasn’t as tender as usual. Hoping for it to be better next time. The garlic cheese toast is delicious regularly, but yesterday, it was slightly burnt.

We did enjoy our meal, although my husband had the 16 ounce bone in Ribeye and it was way under cooked as he ordered it medium well and it came medium rare, also I know rib eye can be fatty but this cut was way fatty

Celebrated my wife’s birthday there on the 7th of November and it was the perfect steak dinner for us. The ambience was great and the staff were very friendly. Our server, Tyler, was right on spot with what we’ve ordered and he was very knowledgeable with food options. We had 2 16oz ribeyes (medium rare) complemented with aspagarus and au poivre. The steak was very juicy and scrumptuous. Tyler had a an excellent suggestion with the wine pairing for the steak as well! Will definitely come back!

Was a first visit to Ruth’s in Edmonton, an interesting venue in a converted bank. The calamari (starter) was as excellent as ever. Mains consisted of creamed spinach, lobster mac & cheese, steamed broccoli & a 40oz porterhouse for two and accompanied with a bottle of Stag’s Leap “Artemis” Cab Sav, all great as expected at Ruth’s! ;0)

Asked for a blue steak, waiter said with ordering blue I wouldn’t get the plate hot. Which makes sense, but lower and behold it was 500degree hot plate. Steak was cooked med rare by the time it got to the table and by the time I was done medium. For 98$ I would have not expected that big of a mistake. But we all make mistakes so I let it go. Probably won’t go back again after that but alright place is you want med rare steak.

Every single time that I go to Ruth’s Chris in Edmonton, they make it absolutely exceptional. Taking a young lady for an early birthday celebration and both of us, especially her as it was her first time there, were absolutely blown away. If you need a special night out, this should be easily your first option. It cannot be beat!

There are a lot of things that contribute to making an evening dining out special. The ambience, the food, and the service. In this case, Aggie was a wonderful combination of professional and personal. She was attentive and certainly made us feel like we were important and appreciated customers. The team that supported her was also very good and the meals were outstanding.
