   It was my first time there mistake was good to see bass was good I think it's a little bit overpriced for the size of the portion but other than that it was good I'm not sure if I would actually go back 200 bucks for dinner for two it's a bit much these days

   Ruth Chris made my family’s bday dinner special. They had confetti on the table and staff came over to wish everyone a happy birthday. They were extremely accommodating to my mom’s wheelchair and food allergy.

   This was my Mother's favorite restaurant. She is no longer with us, but we come here on occasion to celebrate her. It is still a beautiful location. But the quality of the food and service has declined recently. Our waiter was good; however, we had to wait 45 minutes for a table (despite having a reservation). The appetizers (crab stack and spinach/goat cheese dip) were very good. But it took at least 30 minutes to get our cocktails. The steaks and sides were decent (cooked to desired temp for the most part) but underseasoned. Ultimately, when paying close to $400 for a dinner for 2 adults and 2 kids, one shouldnt have to wait 45 minutes for a table if they have a reservation and the food should be exceptional; not just decent. There are simply too many alternatives that offer more for less. A number of tables around us seemed to be equally underwhelmed. We continue to come out of tradition, but it is getting increasingly difficult to justify.

   Great place as is expected of a Ruth's Chris. Quiet location. Good parking situation. Going there on a busy night such as Mother's Day was not ideal as the 2 hour wait was far from pleasant

   We dined here on Mother's Day and it was a disappointment. We had a reservation and still had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. I understand it is a busy holiday, but that's what reservations are for. Once we were seated, it took 20 minutes for our server to take our order, and another 25 after that before he brought us our bread and drinks. Our main courses were also inconsistent. My wife's filet (ordered medium) was cold to the touch and had to be sent back. My filet (ordered medium) came out medium rare, although the quality was still quite good on mine. I used to enjoy Ruth's Chris and was looking forward to this dinner, but the Fairfax location needs to get its house in order.

   We had a reservation and was seated one hour later. The wait was long but our server was excellent. The wait is expected being a holiday.

    The steaks, while perfectly medium rare, had very little taste. It could have been seasoned much better. The asparagus was also lacking flavor. Our waiter in the bar area was fantastic. It was the first visit for my son and I, and I don’t think we will return. There are much better steak houses in the DC area.

    Our reservation was for 5:45 PM. We weren't seated until ~6:30. Like an airline, the restaurant was intentionally overbooked without regard for its customers. The hostess left her empathy at home...didn't demonstrate regrets for all of us who to wait in a physical environment that was uncomfortabe (no seating). I would suggest complimentary beverages or light finger foods in such situations as a demonstration of appreciation for the travails we had to endure.

    Ruth’s Chris Fairfax missed the mark on Mothers Day. Our reservation was for 2:30pm and we arrived at 2:20pm and weren’t seated until 2:55pm. We received a booth seat next to the kitchen entrance for a 7 person party. It was probably the worst seat in the restaurant, especially for our group size. The service was lacking for Ruths Chris. Our table was not scrapped, silverware was not replaced, water was not refilled without asking. I’m not sure if RC has lowed its service standard or what but it’s not the same RC I’ve visited over the past few years, which is unfortunate because I was treating a few guests to their first RC experience and it came up short. I do not plan to host family/business dinners at RC in the future but I wish them the best.

    We had a wonderful meal with wonderful service. Our server was especially attentive. When we arrived, our reserved table was ready and even modestly decorated for my husband’s birthday. Our server even greeted us by name when she came to the table. The food is always excellent at Ruth Chris, but the little touches they added for my husband’s celebration made it even more special this time.

    As expected, although one meal came out undercooked, it was correct the second time. Service seems to be not as attentive as I had been used to, a special request was not performed I wonder if they read those. or just don’t understand that red wine should be uncorked, to breath, before hand.

    We were there celebrating my boyfriends retirment from the Navy after 20 years and the staff was outstanding. From the host, to our server and then the manager. They all thanked him for his service and made him feel extra special. The food was impecable and the server even gave us a free dessert to celebrate his retirement!     Been to many Ruth’s Chris locations over the years. This unfortunately was the worst experience of them all. Incredibly slow service. Bone in filet was served well done (I ordered medium). Mistakes happen…but I don’t think that we’ll be going back to the Fairfax location again. Very disappointing.

    The dinner was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. This time though for some reason we had to wait a very long time in between for the staff to return to the table and so it seemed as if the time could have been better, otherwise everything was excellent.

    Although the waiter and staff were nice and very accommodating, some dishes were not the best this time. They brought me out a thick piece of steak that was supposed to be a Ribeye with no marbling that looked more like a sirloin and the texture was really tough even at medium temperature. I asked them about it and they apologized and brought me the right steak, which was great. They compensated us for our trouble which was very nice. We also ordered cheesecake and the crust seemed to be old or not cooked and the fruit toppings seemed to be old. I love their cheesecake, but it wasn’t the same this visit. I love Ruth’s and eat their often (this location and others), I hope the next time I visit they provide the right steak the first time and the cheesecake crust is back to how it usually is.

    It was my mom’s 80th birthday so we decided to go big and visit Ruth’s Chris Steak House. The food was spectacular and great quality. Never felt rushed during our meal and the pacing of the meal was wonderful. Our waiter Sean really took care of us and want to thank him for making this a great meal/time with the family.

    We go to this restaurant every 4-6 months and it seems that past 3 times we’ve had to deal with hair in our food. It’s just very disappointing and not very sanitary. And they did not recognize my daughter’s birthday at all. We do not intent on returning to this location.

    We went Easter and the food was not up to par. Ribeye was full of fat and gristle and not cooked as requested. The filet was ehhh. The sweet potato casserole was very dry. Server was good, sad that the food was not.

    Overall experience was extremely good. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Ambience was relaxing, food was delicious, and service was attentive. Things keeping our rating from being A+ excellent are: food prep time was extremely slow, we were charged $61 each for the Easter special that was advertised online for $59, and wine & cocktail prices are very steep. Something we liked a lot was: the reasonably priced children’s menu with real food offerings, not just the typical kiddy fare. Our just-turned-10 grandson loved his meal.
