It was my birthday and the food was amazing.!!! The service was great, our waitress was a sweetheart.
Tender juicy Tomahawk steak and great service by Melanie. However didn't care for the new tuna stack appetizer, very little tuna and weird sweet sauce. Otherwise fantastic as always.
Everything up to the main entrée was outstanding, unfortunately my tomahawk ribeye steak (ordered medium rare) arrived raw in the center, after it was taken back to the kitchen it came back medium well. The restaurant did the right thing and gave us a discount, but it was still disappointing.
We were 11 guys and service and food were on point
Everything we got was absolutely delicious. Crab cakes, porterhouse for two, lobster Mac&cheese, mashed potato’s, creamed spinach, crème brûlée and dessert drinks were all amazing!
Jasmine our waitress was phenomenal, and food was out of this world.
Upset that the menu changed after Covid and that you are still limiting seating. Haven’t been able to get in on a weekend at a normal time in months.
We waited a few minutes to be brought to our table. Once there we found a single dirty plate. My wife cast that to the side and grabbed another one on the table. It was set for two but it was just the two of us. Adam was our waiter this evening and he was excellent. He set the pace for the evening and always came by with a smile. We ordered cocktails and appetizers. The raspberry cosmo and pomegranate martini were excellent. My wife's salad was loaded with onions on top. Lots of onions. I ordered lobster bisque and I thought it was just ok. We ordered petit filets, sauteed spinach and a baked potato to spare. All were very good and we finished them all. We like Ruth's Chris. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner and will be back.
Our server Melanie was amazing. She ensured that we had an exoerience while we were there. She was very attentive to our needs and made us feel great about our visit. We will definitely be back and will request her section. Her managers should know what a shining star she is for the Ruth's Chris brand!
The food was excellent and our server Kathy was amazing. She heard it was my birthday and made it so special.
Excellent meal and service. Staff and management was courteous.
Kathy our server was amazing and the food was also great
I have been going to Ruth's Chris for over 20 YEARS. Ever since it changed hands I feel it is not as good as in years past. When I made the reservation I asked for a corner table. When we arrived they wanted to seat us next to a large table. We asked for another table that was not so close to others. Reluctently and after 10 minutes they changed our table, even though the restaurant was 1/2 empty. In the past the restaurant would be decorated beautifully for the holidays with Holiday bells at each seat. The last 2 years nothing. And now the food..... we had the seafood tower which was excellent, and we ordered steak and lobster with the sides. Steak was good, lobster was dry and the sides..... the creamed spinach was simply horrible, the potatoes au gratin definitely not as good as they use to be. Though the asparagus was delicious. Overall for the very 1st time I was disappointed with the food. But I have to say that our server Belinda was FABULOLUS!!!!!! Thank You Belinda!!!!!
Our waiter Corey provided excellent service.
The steak was not as good a previous years . Porterhouse for 2 had a lot of fat and was a little chewy .
Food was prepared exactly as ordered. Waitress named Belinda was very attentive, pleasant & professional. She helped make our night!
Wonderful Christmas dinner, thankful for all the workers who took the holiday shift.
My two friends and I opted for the Prix Fixe menu. The food was excellent and provided generous portions which included a choice of one of several salads, plus a choice of vegetable sides and a generous helping of dessert Two of us opted for the petite filet mignon with lobster and one had petit filet mignon with shrimp. All were cooked to perfection. We opted for the very generous portion of cheese cake for dessert. Delicious! Service was exceptional with Melanie our server. She was delightful, friendly, helpful and professional. We had a great dinner at a terrific price and hope to go back for another visit soon. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Food was amazing
Christmas Eve dinner. My family and I go every year on Xmas eve, this year worse experience ever. We had reservations yet had to wait over 30 minutes to be seated, even though there were at least 5 open tables. We requested a booth with two available couldn’t accommodate our request. After we’re seated they wanted to rush our order cause kitchen was supposed to close at 8pm but our reservations were for 8:15pm. The servers tried to make things better, but we will not return. Food was just ok, steak was chewy. New management is not running this Restaurant like it use to be.
We’re sorry to hear about your experirience, but the feedback is appreciated. Your comments will be shared with the rest of the team.
I went with my boyfriend and my family. It was amazing.!
Let me preface this by saying i realize this was Christmas Eve and well aware it would be busy. However, when dining at a high end establishment where the steaks cost more than $60 plus dollars, the waiters should not be bussing their tables. It prevents them from the attention they could give to their tables. Did not receive the service or attention you would expect nor that we have received at other Ruth’s Chris locations. Furthermore it took way too long to get our main courses. Not happy and will reconsider ever dining at that location again.
Thank you for the feedback. We’re sorry your experience wasn’t the best it could be. It’s important for us know how we can better serve our customers and your comments will be shared with the team.
Food and service were fantastic
Booked this restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday. First, I’d like to say the restaurant is really nice. When making reservations, the site tells you the attire is business casual but I felt a bit over dressed. People were dressed like they would any other day. Next, we were waiting about 10-15 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. If you make a reservation, I would expect to be seated prior to that time or at that time not waiting for a table to open up. Upon getting to the table as well, it wasn’t set properly. What I mean by this is, I set the occasion as a birthday and the table didn’t have anything there which is one of the reasons why I booked this restaurant. Other than this, everything was great. Food was great. The server was ok as well not great but we didn’t need much. Try this restaurant out, you will enjoy the food and maybe your experience will be different from ours.
I'm a long term customer, and its changed for the worst unfortunately. We were greeted by a reception of "please remove your hat when entering here" during a 30 degree day to a bald, cancer survivor just stepping in from the cold. On to a waiter who not only was condescending and obviously unhappy to be working, but he consistently put the restaurant down, saying things like "For a small up charge, you can increase price fixe included child sized dessert to a human sized portion" . Orders came out wrong, water and ice spilled on our guests, steak cooked incorrectly, etc... all the while hearing him quip himself as to wondering when the place would get back to what it was. 11 people were there to celebrate a joyus occasion all winced when he came out with the "child size included dessert and said to the guests of honor "Well, you get this anyway, but thought we'd put a candle in it to make it look better".... and after all this, 3 people spent the night in the bathroom with stomach distress. Will not be coming back to this location ever.
I believe they are experiencing staff issues like other businesses. I used to frequent there monthly. I have net been there is over a year and noticed the difference from what it used to be.
NicholasD, thank you for letting us know, and we apologize for the experience you had. Your comments will be shared with the rest of the team.
Excellent quality of food preparation. Was cooked how we Love it and juicy and tender.
Good and service was great ! It was a very nice setting.
Steaks came out cold. Manager tried to make it right
Server was fantastic
So sorry we did not meet your expectations. Your comments will be shared with the rest of the team.
Our dinner was great, service was perfect. Our waiter Alex was great too.
Our waiter Anthony was great and very professional. The restaurant has gone downhill since the previous franchise owners sold back to the corporation. No Christmas decorations, unique menu items and the stuff that makes a $300 dinner for 2 worth it. The lobster bisque was subpar with one tiny piece of lobster meat!
First of all server was great! I think her name was Tatiana, very short and petite. She was attentive and quick. Side portions very good but small for the price. We ordered the t-bone which came sizzling hot! Needed a bit more seasoning but overall the cut was tender. My only negative was that it was my birthday. They brought out a piece of bread pudding, which I didn't ask for, and then charged me for it. LOL... we thought that was hilarious but we definitely recommend and go go again.
Food was awful. This restaurant keeps changing the menu. I’m sure many appreciate this but I go their for certain things. 3pm reservation. Hostess was very unfriendly. Overall - the food was just awful. I’ve never experienced bad food at Ruth chris. Will not dine here again
Great meal, as always (though it's been two years since we've been there). The steak was as good as we remembered, and the appetizers and sides were all home runs. Our server was the highlight though as she was extremely friendly, knowledgeably, and fun.
My only complaint is that the wine seems a bit over priced. There should be one "budget" red and one white. I don't have a refined wine palette but I certainly enjoy wine with steak.
We have been at Ruth Chris several times before and love each visit. This time around, the experience was just so so. Let’s start with the good: we arrived at our reservation a tad early but we were seated right away. Unfortunately, our host decided to seat us to a large party even though a good deal of the dining room was opened and empty (not to mention this is during COVID times still). Before we could ask to be moved, our drinks arrived and we decided not to bother the staff. We also notified the staff thru our reservation that we were celebrating two birthdays. Unfortunately this was overlooked as well and while I would have chalked the oversight to a busy evening, that was not the case. Lastly, our medium steaks were more raw than usual (previous visit was perfect) and our medium well was more like well done. All in all a disappointing visit from a steak house we come to enjoy very much in the past.
Wonderful dinner with my wife. Kathy our server was outstanding. We split an 11 ounce filet which was cooked medium rare as ordered and was delicious. We had a side of Brussel sprouts which was also wonderful. The entire staff was hard working and attentive. The Maitre D even pitched in to clear tables. We were not rushed and had a great dining experience. We are regulars at Tellers in Islip and it was nice to experience another great steakhouse.
Place was extremely noisy. I have been to RC upwards of 20 times and as a bartender myself felt that people were very defensive when I questioned the margaritas.
The filet was more dry than used to and the mashed potatoes felt like a soup.
First time being disappointed here so I will.return but wow did I leave feeling sour.
The food was great and our waitress Kathy was awesome!
