Delicious food & wonderful customer service. We truly enjoyed our experience.
We felt like when they saw our discount, we were treated as less important. The service was not great and they neglected us. Because of my wife's back condition and could not sit in a booth, they put us out in the bar area. There were tables further in but I guess they had those for more important guests? The steak itself was cooked to perfection and was amazing!!
Birthday. Food was okay for the price! The Keg is better!!
Started with a Caesar salad which was bland - seems like there wasn’t much garlic or anchovies paste in the dressing. My steak was under cooked and then over cooked when it came back.
Service started off good then was terrible. We didn’t see our waitress once after our meal came - we had to flag them down
Waitress was very rude and short. Food was good but the service ruined the experience for $200 Canadian dollar dinner
I’ve been to a lot of Ruth’s Chris restaurants around the country and consider them a premier steak house, but this location was a definite disappointment. First the waiter was visibly dirty. Nice...but overall sloppy appearance. Next the ambiance was best described as “strange”. I ordered a bone-in NY Strip which was cooked ok (barely medium rare...more towards medium) and tough as shoe leather. Without a doubt the toughest steak I’ve ever had at a Ruth’s. It was too late to reorder plus I had no confidence the next steak would be any better. I would suggest avoiding this location.
The food is expensive, plan on $150/person. For that amount of money I do expect at least a minimum of service. My wife and I were seated and gave our drink orders. The beverages were brought and we drank them. We waited, and waited and waited. Finally I flagged down someone and asked for refills. And we waited and waited and waited and then we stopped a manager told him that despite our best efforts we couldn’t get a drink refill to save our lives. He refilled our drinks personally and took the drinks, a coffee and soft drink off the bill. That was nice but considering at that point our appetizers had come and our mains and no one would fill our drinks and at least 30 minutes had passed it really left a sour taste in our mouth, no pun intended. The food was great but you pay a pretty penny for that AND service and the service simply didn’t materialize. Our experience in the Washington DC Ruth’s was far closer to what you would expect from a restaurant charging what they do.
We have at at many RC’s and this one was great - EXCEPT for the porterhouse for 2. The filet side was great, but the strip side was poor. I have had better steaks at Cracker Barrel than that strip. Not worth even 20% what we paid.
The steaks prices are to high. Twice as much as we paid in other Ruth’s Chris locations.
This was our first visit and everything was great! The staff members were pleasant, the environment was fabulous! We will define be back!
As far as Ruth's Chris is concerned, this one is a dud. The quality of the food was as expected, which is to say excellent. However, just about everything else was average at best. There were only about eight tables being served, yet we were all bunched together which offered little in the way of the dining experience you expect from Ruth's. Our server, while nice enough, was inattentive and mostly absent. It took fifteen minutes to be asked if we would like a drink (including water) and another fifteen minutes to get those drinks and finally order. Our water glasses were completely empty numerous times during our meal. Again, the kitchen did a fantastic job, but the rest of the experience was average at best.
CHEF ANDY TOOK GOOD CARE OF US ON OUR ANNIVERSARY!!
Staff were very professional and I would recommend this place
We were on vacation and it was an early birthday gift for our oldest daughter. We loved it!!
Service is terrible. Steak is not as good as other Ruth’s Chris in other cities.
Great service, fantastic food all served in a intimate setting. High end cost wise but worth the expense.
We went to celebrate father's day. The service was exceptional, we were greeted immediately, seated quickly into a very private, spacious booth which made for a relaxing ambiance.
Our servers were prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. There was a minor mix up with my daughter's request for a baked potatoes instead of mashed which was the originsl accompaniment, but it was spotted by the server when she placed it down and she rectified the problem. The mini fillets were mouth watering.
Prices different than Toronto location.
Excellent steaks. Great service. Yeah it’s $$$ but you’re in for a treat.
The steak and food at Ruth’s Chris is very good. BUT!! this specific location is a massive RIP OFF as far as prices go. Sure no RC’s prices are cheap, that’s a given. But this location charges on average $30 more per item than any of the others. This because it’s a “tourist” area. So that means a ribeye that costs $79 at other RC’s costs $108 at this location. Which means a already pricey steak costs you $29 EXTRA here because it’s a “special” location. I don’t mind paying extra for good quality food, but I do mind getting screwed over. And good luck with the wine list. Apparently this is also very “special” as your cheapest 6Oz glass of red wine (a California blend) starts at $19 a glass!! Dinner for two here with two steaks, two sides, one glass of wine and one pop cost me $336. Do yourself a favour and go eat at Mortons just up the road at the Marriott. Same quality of food at much fairer prices.
The food was really disappointing, I was expecting an awesome steak and got just average. No better than outback or canyon Creek. Service was sub par, the place is dated.
Perfect dining experience
Service was poor. Food was good, but don’t think it was worth the money spent.
I have been to Many Ruth’s Chris Steak Houses across the US but this place in Niagara Falls Ontario is horribly overpriced. For 2 people to eat with 1 glass of Wine the cost was $410 CAD. Completely not worth the cost. Better of going to The Keg as the Embassy or the Casino across the street.
Extremely overpriced for the presentation and quality of the dishes. The food was good but at these prices I expect exceptional at all levels.
The food was fresh and seasoned very well. With having a gluten and dairy allergies I wish they would have adjusted a little better to offer more options.
Have been to other locations over the years which have always been good, this one was a little below what we are use to. Also, the prices are way higher than the other locations as well. 108 for the ribeye and 56 for chicken. I understand the location warrants a premium price but that was a little much. Wouldn’t return to this location again.
We were seated fine and a waiter “helper” introduced herself and told us the name of who our waiter would be. At that point we showed our travelzoo coupon for 100.00 meal package for the two of us. Everything changed then. The server “helper” became our waitress- we never saw the waiter she originally referred to. She was not familiar with the coupon. She needed glasses to read it but didn’t have any. She used her phone flashlight to try and decipher the coupon which caused a bit of attention to our table. She confirmed we would not be getting an appetizer which was fine. I asked for a pot of warm water which she never brought. I had to get up and approach her to ask for it again. She brought each item in our meal plan and did not visit our table during the meal, to see if we needed anything. I thought when she brought the mini cheesecake dessert she may ask us if we were interested in adding tea or coffee to our bill - she did not offer.
All in all, I felt treated sub-par and I know it was because we had a coupon.
In 2005 we held our May wedding reception at Ruth Chris Mississauga on city centre drive. Every year around our anniversary we have a date weekend and go to Ruth Chris for dinner with thoughts of our wedding.
I think I’m over it. Next time We will go to the steak house over by the Sheridan.
Very overpriced food, the steak and chicken were cooked well but the sides were bland and boring, service was okay and the atmosphere was very intimate.
One minor complaint would be that the waiters in our section were bickering, and fighting with eachother during service. I know tensions can run high in the resturant buisness but if you are going to scold another server, perhaps it should be done in private, not the dining room.
Everything was the best.
The music was so loud you could not enjoy your meal or company. Our soups and our sides were cold.
So overpriced it’s unbelievable; I eat at high end steak restaurants all the time, I have no problem paying for good food, this place although didn’t taste terrible, price point was 200 percent higher than it should be. Not worth it at all.
Great service excellent food great drinks -
Pricey- but you get what you pay for
Service was lackluster, pricing wasn exorbitant. Even with a $70.00 voucher and the US exchange rate I felt I spent too much. It’s comparable to Fleming’s steakhouse.
This was the best dining experience I have had at Ruth’s Chris!
Great ambiance but Be prepared to budget a minimum of $400 for dinner of 2 wiich will include the least expensive bottle of wine.
Other choice restaurants available in Niagara Falls for much much less.
