Ruth's Chris Steak House - Niagara Falls Ratings and Reviews
The quality of food at Ruth’s Chris is always excellent and this was no exception.
The tuna appetizer is the best I have ever had. As always, our meals were excellent as was the service.
However, I was appalled by the exorbitant costs in comparison to other Ruth’s Chris locations. To be clear, the menu prices in this Ruth’s Chris are significantly more than in other areas including those in downtown Toronto. In comparing my last two receipts, Toronto and Niagara Falls, a meal in Niagara Falls costs WAY more for the same meal.
To be honest, I was shocked by the prices in Niagara Falls. On top of that, the nearly 10% Niagara Falls Destination Tax put it over the top.
In summary, Ruth’s Chris is an awesome meal - hands down. Just be prepared to pay a handsome price in Niagara Falls.
The food, service and restaurant ambience are excellent it’s just so very over priced I have to give a 4 star rating. Our meal was started with crab cakes and a chop house salad shared by me and my husband the 2 8 oz filets with a shared potato side. He had 2 beers and I had 1 martini the bill was over $300. Again it was very good but you are going to pay big for it.
The ribeye was perfect. Done just right. Great attention to us. Rather pricey but worth every bit. Staff makes sure you are happy.
Great service and great food!!
Very good meal, good service , rather expensive.
Unless you are independently wealthy, and have no conscious as to how you spend your money you will absolutely feel taken by this place. I have eaten at several Ruth Chris steak houses in the states and felt the food here was at best average. My husband ordered a martini and the drink was not for human consumption. He sent it back and was subsequently informed that the bartender had made it with a liquid used for practice! During our dinner they seated us in a very private area of the restaurant. Yet, throughout they were moving tables and chairs for an upcoming event the next day. When the dinner arrived I had a small filet and lobster bisque. That alone was over $100 Canadian. By the end our bill was over $400. I felt totally taken and wished I had read the reviews before this mistake. Oh and when we got back to the hotel we found they charged us for the $24 martini! There was only one redeeming feature of the evening and that was our waitress who had been on the job for only 2 days. She was great.
I truly hope you will not make the same mistake we did for our anniversary.
We were very excited to be seated in a private dining booth but it was situated right next to the bar which made it slightly more noisy than other private booths. This would’ve been okay, but there was a murder mystery dinner happening in the bar area which made it extremely loud while we were trying to dine. This took away from any ambiance there was. The waiter apologized as did a manager but that was it. The food was good, just not over $300 CAD good. Would not recommend or return to this particular location.
Es un excelente lugar con la una carne espectacular.
Outrageously expensive. We enjoy Ruth's Chris locations all over the country and none has prices that compare to this one. After converting Canadian dollars to USD I'd guess at least 20% higher than the highest we've ever seen. Was almost empty on a Saturday night. I understand why. If cost is not an issue you'll love it.
Dinner was great as well as our service. Yes it is expensive but you get what you pay for enjoyed our meal will go back again.
Our server, Mackenzie was OUTSTANDING! She was attentive but not intrusive...perfect!
The atmosphere was nice, food was delicious, and a good amount of choices. It’s like any other Ruth’s Chris, where it can get expensive. Thanks to a voucher from our resort, we saved $150...but still ended up paying $200+. Service got 4 stars, because we would not see our server for some time...could have had a large party or something, but we had to wait for additional items or ask another server for assistance. He was awesome though, but just expected to see him more in such a dinning setting. Manager was really nice, and stopped by twice to check on us as well. Overall not a bad experience, just extremely expensive. Luckily we knew this going into the dinner, so we were prepared to get a big bill. They do charge the tourist tax, but took it off once we asked them to.
Everything was wonderful from the greeting, to our server to the food!
We have been at several Ruth's Chris and as usual the service and food were excellent, however the prices at this Ruth's Chris seemed excessive.
Horrendously overpriced, decent steak, mediocre service. Will not be back.
Total old school- loved the curtained opium den styled booths, and, of course the 6oz and 11 oz filets were magnificent and cooked perfectly. Sides were okay (potatoes au gratin, asparagus- hard to mess up) but the dipping sauces were a bit odd and a terrible value. We were overcharged for 2 glasses of a decent primitivo ($14 on the menu- $20 per glass on our bill) and the bizarre tourism tax added a whopping $38 to our bill. Even with $150 coupon we were $230 C more with no appetizer, coffee or dessert. Much more than a typical Ruth's Chris (if there was a view of the falls i could understand- but no view at all).
Much to expensive for the meal received. Given discount for staying in hotel . Have had less expensive meal at other locations and they were very compatible quality
Sad comparison to other Ruth's Chris Steak Houses. The food wasn't that great. It took over an hour to get our main dish. There was a wedding reception going on and it was so loud that I couldn't hear my husband. Will not go back.
T-bone steak was spectacular, the best steak I've ever had in a restaurant (and I've been to Sparks NYC, Morton's, Gibson's Chicago, Chicago Chop House, Wolfgang's NYC...). Sides were also excellent, and the service was attentive without being overbearing and quite personable. Probably the most overpriced wine list I've ever seen, also, which is a distinction they probably didn't want to hear but don't really care about since it's a restaurant in a casino. Worth a try; good if you can get a coupon from the hotel for $$ off as we did.
Food was excellent and the service was great! We has the steak and shrimp combo and it was cooked to perfection. The server was attentive and friendly. We shared a salad and it was very good (tomato Mozzarella). I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a great dinner. Well worth the expense!
You get crushed with taxes. It was $80 worth of taxes. Not worth it
Completely dissatisfied. My husbands steak had to be sent back because it was rare instead of medium well and by the time it did, I was almost done with mine. Nice birthday meal that was. Also, when we got the bill, over $60 of it wa special fees and taxes aside from the normal taxes. Way to rip us off! Our bill was astronomical and not worth what we had to pay. Shame on you ruths Chris! I feel robbed
I loved it
Server did not recall celebrating our event
Food was fair -- kind of bland. Not worth the price.
Went here expecting a great dining experience like I get back home at Ruth’ Chris....It was not. I won’t bother you with the level of incompetence we were subjected to. I will tell you that the manager ended up comping the entire meal ($340.00). We appreciated that gesture from him but we still left the restaurant completely disappointed.
Good food and service, Jason was amazing. This is a must while you are in Niagara Falls!
This was our first Ruth's Chris experience and it was quite good. However I wish I had known how pricey it can be. The Sheraton Hotel gave us a $200 voucher but we still paid another $200 for just my wife and I.
Their prices aren't listed for a reason! If you've ever been to a Ruth Chris before double those prices and enjoy. The place is dead for a reason people; $103 for a $12 dollar steak. Uber to toronto and hit Jacobs for the same damn price. We actually left so I can't even comment on the food the ambiance was just that good.
Prices are obscene even with the "credit" provided in the hotel package. $78 for a piece of fish??
Menu was expensive for Ruth Chris, I've been to many, and then there are 25% worth of taxes added on.
It was a little pricey but great steak. Veggies a little over cooked.
Watch out for the extra "destination tax"...they will add a substantial amount to your bill without telling you (in our case, it was over $25 USD), but they will waive it if you ask them to.
Way overpriced, and getting a "recommended gratuity" card with the bill was very tacky and completely ridiculous for a place like that. It is to my discretion what to tip; your "suggestion" is not needed or wanted.
It was our anniversary and we had a 200 voucher. Prices were VERY high. $80 was the cheapest steak as it was for the cheapest bottle of wine. Food was good and so was the service.
The dependability you would expect from Ruth's Chris was met with higher than normal prices even for this establishment.
The food was wonderful (as always for Ruth's Chris Steak House). We were seated in an area that I would call the "overflow" area of the restaurant (they called it their "new section" which had obviously not been finished), so the ambiance was simply okay. In all, with drinks and tip, the meal was pricey...well over $600 (Canadian dollars) for two people. I have to say the dinner was fantastic--it just may not have been worth the large price tag. The waitstaff were not as responsive as I would have expected. I had to ask for one of my requests three times. I would have expected more for such a pricey dinner. However, we did have a lovely time.
From our quiet booth to our gracious server to the Maitre D' who doubled as the Sommelier, our experience was superlative.
