Ruth was smart to buy Chris out of his steakhouse. You will be amazed at how good the steaks are. Garlic mashed sides and Caesar salad compliments everything. Great full bar as well. Be prepared to spend some money but know you will get what you paid for. Three cheers!

Don't believe the any of the nit-picky prima-donnas who find fault with Ruthies; there seems to be more and more unhappy negatisimos who should probably just stay home! Although R's C is a chain, every location manages to have it's own personality, always has a high-end feel, and the Palm Desert location hits it out of the park. Steaks sublime, bar happy hour a fabulous deal, dark and rather elegant main dining room (just as a steakhouse should feel), and staff like a well-oiled machine-always friendly and ready to do whatever it takes to provide their customers with a great dinner and overall experience.

The usual very very high quality main dishes. High end ambiance but not overly pompous - comfortable experience. Staff were attentive, our salads were delivered to another table but rectified immediately. The Palm Desert location manager was probably the highlight - Chris came to speak with us a couple of times and engaged with our 16 yr since it was his first time at Ruth’s Chris. Thank you Chris for taking the time to speak with our son it was very thoughtful of you.

A wonderful treat and great for special occasions. They go all out to make the occasion one you’re sure to remember! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! James our server was personable and friendly too. The manager Chris came around twice to ensure everything was meeting our expectations. While it is expensive it definitely worth the experience.

This is a classic example of a brand that’s past its prime. Felt like it was an outback steakhouse except for the $500 bill.

5 pm reservation Seated right away Service was spot on as soon as we sat down didn’t end until we left. Devon our server was awesome. Gave us great recommendations on the food. We started with the stuffed mushrooms and chopped salad, I had the bone in fillet and my wife had the lobster. Finished with the crème brûlée everything was awesome! manager stopped by twice to check on us 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ staff and food!!!!

Enjoyed our dinner as the steaks were excellent, but our side dishes were very poor. The brussel sprouts were hard as boots and the mashed potatoes were runny and tasted like instant

I would not go back on Thanksgiving. It’s very crowded. It was like they overbooked the reservations. We waited almost an hour WITH a reservation and got seated in the bar. The $44 turkey dinner was disappointing. Two slices of turkey with an ice cream scoop size portion of stuffing with a tiny amount of cranberry. They ran out of green beans and it was only 6:00 pm. The meal included salad and desert but we had to order a side of sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes. For $44 maybe an ice cream scoop of those could have been served. The desert was pumpkin cheesecake with a Tiny bit of ice cream. I mean like a tablespoon size. The servers were great. They did the best they could and were probably exhausted. My daughter’s steak was overcooked so she had to wait for another one. Live and learn, eat turkey at home.

Our favorite and only destination for Thanksgiving dinner. We have been at Ruth's Palm Desert for 4 years to enjoy the Turkey dinner with all the side dishes you expect and love.

Went for Thanksgiving dinner. Had a 4:45 reservation and got seated just after 5:00. The place was really busy. From the moment we were seated things could not have gone better. The service was outstanding as well as the food. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who wants a great meal while in the desert. Highly recommended!!

We were there for the Thanksgiving special. You could not beat the price for what we had. Appetizer, turkey dinner and dessert for $44/per person. We did add on an extra side, as they were so many good ones and all were delicious. We really loved our server, he was insanely good. Came by at just the right moments to check on us. He's a keeper. The best part was he brought us two individual leftovers to go, which was above and beyond what we expected. It was just as good on day two. The only thing that was disappointing was when we checked in the lady who sat us made fun of my last name. I know it is hard to pronounce, but it started off wrong on what ended up being a lovely evening. Why sour it with that type of attitude? Recommend if you cannot say someone's name and they tell you how to say it and your response is "whatever", then I'm already irritated. We usually spend $200-$300 on a meal here from your regular menu, so have a little courtesy for your guests. She could have said, right this way, Mr. Steve, and I'm good with that. Not snarky responses on my name. Other than that...We really appreciated everyone working on Thanksgiving and providing a nice event.

There were 8 in our family party some of whom had never been to a Ruth's Chris, comments like it's the best steak I've ever tasted in my life ! The rest of us were familiar with the quality of the dinner. If I had to split hairs I was a little put off with our table so close to the front door, I would have liked to have been seated more in the interior of the restaurant. However, everyone enjoyed their dinner experience ! Thank You Chris R

Delicious meal, wonderful service. Such a good choice for a special occasion. Our filet was cooked perfectly - seared medium-rare “Pittsburgh style”. The manager and our waiter were both charming and made us feel very welcome and special. We hope to be back soon.

We celebrated our anniversary here and the staff made our dinner very special, from sprinkling heart confetti on our table to a menu that stated “Happy Anniversary”. We got the 3 course meal special they had and everything tasted amazing. Will definitely be coming back.
