Lunch at Sushi Ota is a joy. Remarkably fresh fish, delicious rice and extensive choices with specials. There is no better place to eat sushi in San Diego in our opinions. Yesterday's lunch we chose lunch specials Noodle soup( soba noodles) and 5 pieces of sushi plus 2 pieces of California roll. A super affordable and marvelous special that is always available. We ordered a crunchy tempura roll, an order of ikura (salmon roe) , tempura veggies and a crunchy salmon roll , all topped off with an OTA A combination lunch entree. Each bite was delicious! Four of us were delighted. Thank you Sushi Ota!

One of my favorite spots, with fresh ingredients, and such friendly, knowledgeable staff. The wasabi caesar salad is a must ! I enjoy coming back time after time … with the specials board you can have a completely different meal every time or stick with your favorites on the main menu.

Once again Kai Ola was absolutely delicious. We like to order appetizers yummy, then Nigiri yummy then a couple of rolls yummy then full. They have a House Blonde Beer that is out of this world. The Service Rocks!

Founded in 2013 by Davin and Jessica Waite, Wrench & Rodent is a space for culinary exploration and collaboration. This cozy, eclectic restaurant quickly became a destination for those who appreciated Chef Davin’s creative approach to celebrating local and responsibly sourced fish and produce.

In addition to a set sushi menu, Wrench offers an omakase as well as a list of specials that change daily. The team is committed to reducing waste and enhancing flavor by elevating all cuts of fish and veggies, as well as featuring a diverse range of species. Many menu items are simple, fresh and creative, with a lesser-known fish species complimented by ingredients from the backyard garden. Byproduct utilization drives the menu as well, and recent explorations with aging techniques have led to a dry aged fish program. Plant-forward preparations are also celebrated, and a vegan omakase is available upon request.

We had a wonderful birthday dinner here! Connor did a fantastic job as our server. He was knowledgeable, decisive, helpful, and went above and beyond. The atmosphere was fun and had a beautiful view of the city. The food and drinks were unique and delicious. Highly recommend!

Our concept is drawn from our name. The word “cloak” implies secrecy, inspiring our concept of a social sphere humming beneath the levels of ordinary life. “Petal” alludes to the Japanese tradition of “hanami,” when family and friends gather under blooming cherry blossoms to savor food, drinks and fellowship.
