Ivan was AMAZING. He gave us such a nice experience, answered all of our questions and was so polite. He made our experience everything it needed to be. This is my first time visiting this establishment and I didn’t know what to expect besides it is a steak house. It is in older section of New Braunfels, but still a very nice area. I started with the stuffed quail which was okay. I am a sucker for onion soup and I thought it was very tasty. My entree was the bone-in filet (medium rare) with Brussels sprouts. The steak was not cooked properly and sent it back because rare and needed more time cooking, Brussels sprouts were overcooked for my liking. I would go back for another try, I think it is worth it.

We had eaten at Castle Hills Tu Asador several times, and were looking forward to a great meal at Encino. They didn’t disappoint! In fact, they exceeded our expectations in almost every way. We chose rib eye medium rare sliced on the board. It was delicious and cooked exactly as requested. We also chose potatoes, and roasted veggies as sides. Next visit we will order 2 sides of veggies. We also chose to order desserts (unusual for us) — which complemented our dining experience perfectly. Our server, Brian, was attentively helpful. He even honored my request for a Veterans discount! The only ding I would give was the excessive noise level, but that was understandable given the fact that there were several large dining parties, and live music. On a final positive note, all of the servers moved about the room quickly, as if they were on a mission. They were, and succeeded admirably. We will be back! Excellent!
