After a tour at Churchill Downs, a hot brown at The Brown Hotel , along with a mint julep made our trip to Louisville complete. Food and drink were delicious and service was perfect.

Lou Lou Food + Drink is my newest favorite restaurant. Everything on the menu is excellent! Double Deep dish pizza, Twin Crab Cakes with the veggies, red beans & rice, Gumbo, Jambalaya, Meatball Sandwich, linguini and meatballs. The only thing I’m not a fan of is their bread on the side. It’s spongy and just doesn’t have much flavor. Regardless of the bread on the side, this place is amazing.

Bravo Italian Kitchen Tonight we went to Bravos’ Louisville location to enjoy their Fall Speciality Pasta Meal. It was a choice of 2 Salads, 2 Pasta Entrees from $16.99, $19.99 or $22.99 and 2 desserts, Creme Brûlée and Canaloni. We both ordered a Caesar Salad and Pasta Woozie, it’s Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and Spinach. April was our server tonight and we’ve known her for about 2 years. She’s fun & makes you really feel at home. A lot of our favorite managers and servers were there working last night. Hannah, their precious manager was working. It’s always so wonderful to see her. She always goes over and above what is expected of her. Then Jessica came by to check on us since she was working in another area of the restaurant. She gives such great service. April was very quick to get us our Iced Tea and Bread. She came back by and brought us our Caesar Salads, which were quite large and very fresh. While we were finishing them, our Pasta Woozie came and Hannah covered them with grated Parmesan Cheese for us, and 2 ramakins of extra Fettuccine Alfredo Sauce, if we needed it. The pasta was so good! We knew to only eat a portion of the pasta, because the Fall Speciality Pasta Meal comes with a dessert. We were really full so April brought us carry out boxes and transferred our food for us! I love it when the servers do that for me. She also suggested we might want to take the desserts home and eat them later. It was a great idea! She brought us our desserts and a bag and cups to take all of our goodies home. We had such a great time, we had great food and great servers!! It was a very busy night for the restaurant and there were about 4 large parties there. It sure kept the servers, chiefs and managers really busy. We were very pleased with the 5 star service we received. We really recommend Bravo’s. It was a great value! Robyn
