Matu has the BEST beef in town. I’m never disappointed with the quality of food or their service. This restaurant knows what they are doing, and it is worth every dollar. The only thing I wish they had was a frequent diner card, because I literally keep coming back for more. Please never change, Matu.

Everything was perfect. My only complaint would be that the music was too loud. To be honest, we didn't ask for it to be turned down but it could have been a bit lower. Food and attention was great! thank you!

We both had the steak which is what they are known for. I had the petit filet and it was done to perfection and my husband had the rib eye and he loved it. The Caesar salad was on the small side but the dressing was very good. My husband had the buttered mashed potatoes and he enjoyed them but we both felt it needed more salt, which they did bring to us. The only downside were the cocktails - my husband had an old fashioned and I had a margarita - the ‘portion’ may be typical but the glass was stuffed with ice and there was only about 3-4 sips in the entire thing. I would suggest you steer clear of the cocktails and maybe do wine instead. For dessert my husband had the apple cheesecake which he said was ‘good’ but not great and I just had small scoops of the homemade vanilla and chocolate ice cream which was refreshing and not overly sweet. All in all, it was a fun experience but we enjoyed the beginning more when the restaurant was not crowded because it is VERY noisy when it gets busy. We could not really even hold a conversation across the table with each other - tables are also placed close together so it’s not very private. So, if you are intending for a quiet tete-a-tete, this is not your scene. Eric the host was very nice and kind - thank you Eric! And the card for our anniversary from the staff was a nice touch. Great food here, especially the steak!
