I highly recommend this authentic Greek restaurant. The food quality and taste reminds me of our recent Trip to Greece. suggestions: dry Greek ribs, kalamari, beef balls traditional, Mousaka, lamb.

Selene's menu features locally sourced seafood and dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of the Aegean region, with many exciting twists. Guests are encouraged to order a range of dishes from our extensive menu selection, which are best shared family-style. In addition to the sophisticated fare, Selene will boast a curated beverage program, highlighting handcrafted cocktail, and Greek, Spanish and local wines.

An unforgettable experience from start to finish. We gave our server free rein, and he made it a night to remember—fun, engaging, and clearly passionate about what he does. Each dish he brought out paired beautifully with the wine, creating unexpected flavor combinations that completely won us over. The selection reflected deep knowledge and careful curation, with opportunities to explore unique wines we'd never tried before. The atmosphere was spot-on. Beautiful decor, great music, not too loud, and a cool fancy vibe. It’s a place filled with good energy and even better people. Very good for a first or annual date, to bring your in-laws/parents, or friends!

The place was quite busy… it’s a popular place to dine. Food came quick and was good. Smaller portions than in the past but price is still reasonable. Would recommend it for sure.

In 2015, the brothers, alongside their cousin Daniel Bergman, expanded on their parent’s dream by opening The Greek in Yaletown, with a focus on mezze-style dining. Now open in Gastown. The Greek is a reinterpretation of the North Shore's iconic Anatoli Souvlaki.

Thomas Makris, from the Island of Skopelos, fell in love when he met Helen Babalos. They met at Orestes Greek restaurant in 1974, while on a Greek dancing tour of North America. Soon after their marriage, they had a vision to open a place like no other in Vancouver; a Greek restaurant where everyone is family; where everyone receives a consistent experience created by delicious homemade authentic food and impeccable service. In 1984 they opened Anatoli Souvlaki in north Vancouver. In 2011 their sons Alexi and Iani took over the restaurant and early 2015 they expanded on their parents original dream, in a new venture with their cousin Daniel Bergman, Alexi and Iani opened ‘The Greek by Anatoli’ in Yaletown. ‘The Greek by Anatoli’ focuses on small share plates or “mezze”.
