Now well into our third decade in business, Eddington’s attributes the restaurant’s success to creating flavorful and creative meals consistently using the best of Huron County’s bounty.
Owner James Eddington states “we are so blessed to be living in such an agriculturally rich area of the world”.
Although the local food movement is really starting to take off, it has always been the driving force in Eddington’s kitchen. A menu that changes frequently, as each season inspires the delicacies our region has to offer.
Eddington’s occupies the original Carling homestead (built in the 1870’s). After two major renovations, an addition of the a new dining room and a serene outdoor backyard summer patio, the restaurant has a clean and modern look while maintaining its traditional and warm feel.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. We were celebrating a milestone anniversary (as were many of the guests that night!) and their thoughtful gesture of this celebration, was very much appreciated. Wonderful meal with high quality ingredients, and extensive wine and beverage selection. Most definitely will be returning, in anticipation of patio weather and the live music that is offered. Thank you for a most enjoyable dining experience.

This was our first time at Dolcetto and it won’t be our last. The first was fantastic, our server was amazing and overall it was the best we’ve experienced in a long time!! Thank you for the fantastic experience!! 5 star experience all the way!!

We love the patio and overall experience when we go to Puddicombe House. The food is always fantastic, great service and we leave happy every time! If you haven't tried the curry bowl - don't miss out!

We had an excellent experience. We got the wonton nachos and calamari. The calamari wasn't very good, but the wonton nachos were excellent! The service was fantastic, and the ambiance was great. Will be back!

Chose the Local Social House to celebrate our anniversary, and boy are we glad we did! The staff were awesome, the ambiance was great, and the food was incredible. I had one of the best burgers, if not the best burger, of my entire life. It was raining when we went, but I can't wait to try out the patio, especially when an act is playing! 10/10, would recommend!

A family favourite ♥️paid less than 150 for 4 people with appetisers and massive individual portions. We left very happy, full and extremely satisfied 😌 the waitress was very hospitable and friendly ♥️
