Our family-friendly Monterey Bay restaurant is close to the Aquarium, situated over sapphire waters and immersed in the natural beauty of the California coast. The C restaurant features only seafood endorsed by Seafood Watch of the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The delicious Arctic Char featured on Executive Chef Matt Bolton's menus is similar to salmon in taste, texture and color, but is available year-round, and is rated a "best choice" by Seafood Watch.

Located at the upscale InterContinental The Clement Monterey hotel on Monterey Bay. Every table at the C restaurant has a view of the pristine and scenic Monterey Bay. We are locals in Monterey and we love Old Fisherman’s Grotto for special occasions, or when we want to feel pampered. From the booth seating to the dark polished wood, to the old standards music, it’s a step back in time to elegance and attentive service by professional wait staff. The food is beautifully prepared and presented. Macadamia crusted halibut is one of our favorites. Be sure to start with their award-winning clam chowder. The views of Monterey Bay are gorgeous.

Wonderful experience our server Prisila was very nice and attentive the food was perfectly prepared, tea was excellent and the Birthday cake was to die for a great experience and it was a beautiful Sunny afternoon/evening and the Views were breathtaking. Love this place

Wonderful and congenial servers and hostess. Food was excellent, ambience very cool. Glad we Ate outdoors as it did tend to get louder as the night wore on. Kind of pricey so go knowing that you’re not just paying for the food!

We personally welcome you to Café Fina. My family and I have been serving diners on Monterey’s Fisherman’s Wharf since 1989. We specialize in Italian cuisine, make our pastas and raviolis in house, grow our own seasonal organic home-grown vegetables, and serve a variety of only the freshest seafood from the Monterey Bay. Our wood-burning oven prepares excellent pizza, and the quaint Italian decor and ocean views make dining at Cafe Fina a memorable experience.


Café Fina is a full-service fine dining restaurant, serving lunch and dinner. In addition to our award winning food,we also feature a wide variety of wines, including the best of our local wines, the finest wines that Napa valley has to offer, and a fine selection of Italian wines. Dominic’s cooking has enabled Café Fina to be the sole caterer for John Madden’s induction ceremony into the Football Hall of Fame in 2006 and has earned him visits from Rachel Ray and other TV stars.

We had oysters, clam chowder, veal piccata and pesto prawns with penne pasta. All were delicious. The oysters were large and flavorful. The clam chowder was rich & creamy. The veal was tender and delicious. I would have liked more basil flavor in the prawns dish however it was very tasty also. We had a cabernet sauvignon and a pinot noir. Both were excellent. A good value. The view from the upstairs dining room was wonderful.

Excellent food! We ordered the 3 course dinner that costs only $59 per person. It is available only from 5-6:30 pm. I had abalone chowder, sea bass and spumoni and they were worth it. We also had half dozen oysters and only costs $2 per piece as it was a Wednesday. It would normally have costs $29 for a half dozen. They were very fresh! We would definitely come back if we visit Monterey again.

Celebrating a big Birthday, The Catch exceeded our expectations in every way. Dalia, the Manager was unfailing and genuinely interested in making sure the evening was perfect. A little champagne and a spoonful of caviar a great touch. Our server, Mina, was excellent, pleasant, and professional. The food was sensational in every way. Loved the warm atmosphere and we recommend this restaurant as a do not miss.

Last night we enjoyed our meal at Ada’s. The staff was very warm and friendly. The place was really busy but we were seated at our reservation time. We enjoyed crisp green salads with a great blue cheese dressing (pretty sure it was house made but I didn’t think to ask) a shrimp cocktail that had delicious shrimp and a wonderful sauce and presentation. Mains were Cioppino (wonderful), sand dabs with au gratin potatoes and a salmon bowl, all delicious. Large portions, no room for dessert. Definitely going back.
