As usual, we had an excellent experience at Bistro 217. The service was excellent and the food outstanding. I would recommend the petite crab cakes and pear salad as appetizers and the pork schnitzel as an entree. The ice cream flight is a good dessert. We will continue to return.

About the restaurant
River House does have a dressy casual dress code consisting of no shorts, flip flops, baseball hats or tank tops in the dining room for the gentlemen. Comparable attire for the ladies. Children under 16 are exempt. We do offer complimentary pants to guests that may need them.
River House corkage policy is a maximum of 3 bottles per reservation without management consent at $35 per bottle.
River House has a 24-hour cancellation and No-Show Policy consisting of $25 per person plus a 18% SVC Charge.

In the South, there’s an intimate connection between the table and the land. Our fertile soil feeds corn and cattle. The palmettos provide cover for quail and game. And the ocean provides its bounty with the incoming tide. The River House is a culinary celebration of this relationship and our professed love for the land and waters of the Lowcountry.

We ate early 5pm so we could hear everything so it’s hard to judge noise level. The food fantastic, our server Mike fantastic, wine choice great we loved our experience but there was nothing unique to make Aspen Grille different. We had 2 starters, 2 entrees, 2 glasses of wine and 1 cocktail with tip $300

Every time we dine at La Rustica, the meal and the service are always superb! This has easily become one of our favorite date night spots. The servers go above and beyond (Lisette is fantastic!) and the chef really knows his way around the kitchen. We’ve enjoyed everything we’ve ordered from the delicious bruschetta appetizer to the phenomenal gnocchi dish and I can’t forget the cioppino which is easily the best I’ve ever had. The decadent chocolate mousse cake is the perfect way to finish off a great meal. I also have the mention the ambiance— everything from the light fixtures to the comfy seating to the murals on the wall— stunning. They’ve really done a great job with making this a special dining experience in downtown Summerville and we always look forward to our next visit!
