SABOR Restaurant provides a rustic yet elegant atmosphere and a menu rich in European tradition—Portuguese, Spanish, French & Italian—in the heart of Downtown and the ICE District.

OceanWise certified, we offer Edmonton’s best, most-sustainable seafood menu as well as a meat & vegetarian options.

Professional staff, a trim but superlative wine list, hand-crafted cocktails, and SABOR’s menu & atmosphere make it the perfect spot—be it in evening wear before the opera, a suit before the big meeting, or in jeans hanging out with friends.

Made in house cakes are available upon request. Requests must be made 48 hours in advance, and can only be made via phone (780-757-1114). We do not allow outside cakes to be brought into the restaurant.

BODEGA Tapas Bar is a casual setting seated on a walk-in basis only. A great stop before or after a movie or show at one of the nearby theaters, BODEGA serves authentic tapas, our signature Sangria, and superb wine & cocktails.

    It was our anniversary dinner and Sabor did not disappoint. One of the best seafood dinners we have ever had and that’s saying something because my wife is from the east coast.

    I liked the meal but I did not love it! The scallops starter accompaniment just didn’t make sense, and the rice was good in the paella but the seafood flavour was lacking, and the seasonings for the paella were a bit different than I would have expected for Spanish paella. Service and ambience were great. Value for money was relatively good. May or may not return. Thanks for a great time anyway.

    Everything about the experience was fantastic . The only downfall was that you couldn’t have everything you wanted in the menu. So many good things to choose from. It will definitely require a 2nd and 3 rd visit

    The waiter was amazing, the food fantastic and the price was reasonable considering the quality and preparation. I would recommend anyone attending to dress up somewhat as me and my family arrived a tad underdressed. (5 Stars)

    Had the seafood paella and found it very salty. We’ve come here many times and always order the seafood paella since it’s our favorite dish but for some reason this time around we were disappointed. Everything else was great especially our server. He made our evening a pleasurable night despite the disappointment in the paella .

    My wife and I dined at Sabor on a quiet Monday evening, so the ambience and noise level were fine for quiet conversation, which we appreciated. The food was very good and the service was friendly and professional. The environment was pleasant with the rustic elegance of the restaurant and quiet “ethnic sounding” music in the background. Would repeat the experience and recommend it to others.

    Very poor food experience. Not authentic in taste, and even so, not tasty at all. I had heard that the restaurant had gone downhill and this confirms it. On a bright note, the service is very good so no fault on the front of house. We had the to send back the croquettes, which had a strange taste of cooked bananas with cheese and ham… and the texture of mush. The paella was not authentic at all with a strong pasta sauce taste and was too salty. I’m addition, the seafood was clearly not fresh. The calamari was standard with Earl’s like quality. Seared scallops were good but did not pair the best with the Indian inspired sauce. Overall, skip this place hard. It rests on its past laurels without wanting to improve as tables are filled regularly by unassuming customers. I suggest the owners make a trip to Portugal and Spain to regain their inspiration.

    Food and service was excellent. Our party shared some tapas as an appie (grilled artichokes, sardines, calamari, beef empanadas), then shared lobster risotto and paella. All of the seafood was very fresh and bountiful. As you may deduce, the main food offerings have a Spanish and Portuguese focus. The décor is dark and oaky and has a nice ambiance. Wine selection seems quite extensive. I prefer beer and even though they only had one offering on tap, it it was a nice local craft. There are also quite a number of bottled beers, both of craft and corporate variety. All in all, a great high end eatery to take that special someone and/or a special occasion. Totally recommend.

    I took my better half here for his birthday dinner, and everything was wonderful. From the friendliness of our server, Mark, to the tasty tapas and decadently delicious chocolate mousse, nothing fell short of exceptional. We will definitely be back soon.

    The server was a bit "dry". You can tell he was annoyed when you ask questions etc. Food is great, but it was a bit salty. I have eaten here before, and the food is always top notch.

    It was Our 31st Anniversary. Bailey was our waitress and she did an awesome job. We had the Three Course Seafood Meal for Two. We each had a 9 oz glass of a Portuguese wine. With dessert, we each received a complimentary glass of port for our anniversary.

    We had the seafood platter. The quality of all the seafood was very very good. The room with the big wooden beams is such a beautiful space to sit. The service was friendly and professional. Would highly recommend this great restaurant to anyone.

    Service is still missing a bit of finesse that we once used to get at this restaurant pre-COVID. Server over poured a beer, foaming it several times, forgot cutlery, etc. Value in the seafood platter for 2 was a bit disappointing, considering the "special" price of $80/person-FAR too much calamari and only 2 scallops and 2 prawns. The taste of said scallops and prawns were fantastic and more should've been on this platter for that price!
