   Sabor is my favourite restaurant in Edmonton. I've tried several items on the menu and anything made with shellfish are the best, especially the sauces. It's pricey but worth it once in a while. A friend visiting from Vancouver said that Sabor was as good or better than the top restaurants there, which says a lot. We found the noise level high on Saturday night but that seems to be a problem almost anywhere these days, it would be nice not to have to shout to be heard.

   Food was amazing. Atmosphere awesome. Price was extremely reasonable. To be honest, I can’t remember a time we were as excited about the food we ate. Will definitely being going back.

   We chose Sabor for our special occasion based on published reviews. It did not live up to those reviews. The food was ordinary at best while the prices were outrageous. Our waiter was excellent with a great sense of humour and superb service. The bread, appetizers and wine were very good. But the main course fish dishes were skimpy and unexciting. I expected much more from a restaurant that bills itself as fine dining.

   The lady at the reception looked like she had a terrible day. I made a reservation where I specifically chose "Standard seating", but instead I got seated in one of the ONLY TWO high table seats in the restaurant. The waitress's service was decent while her English was quite difficult to understand. Food was okay. The only dish amazed me was the Bruschetta. The main courses didn't have much of a taste despite looking fancy.

   We have dined at some similarly price restaurants across the country and this place is not remotely worth the money for the food. The AAA rib eye for 46 dollars is a fair price if the meat was actually AAA. The cut was grainy and not marbled to the mark a AAA meat should be. I suspect they are using lesser quality. The seabass was oily and soggy on the bottom. The lobster risotto was sub par at best. I can understand the appeal but it is far off from being considered fair value for the 24 it cost. The fingerling potatoes were overcooked flavorless and down right disappointing. The vegetables we got we drenched in an over bearing sauce with under cooked peppers. All in all the meal was rough. Nor worth the money. It's really a shame because the Bodega restaurant in sherwood park offers much better value and higher quality products. Would not recommend. I think people believe Sabor is a great restaurant because of the prices. Little do they know they offer sub par food for elevated prices. It's a shame for the same dollar figure you can eat at DOSC and actually get some flavor.

    Wow, both my partner and I were very impressed, service was absolutely outstanding, our server was one of the best I have had in a very long time, and I dine out at least once or twice a week. Food was delicious, timing was great, Ambiance is amazing. Well done, I will definitely come back next time in Edmonton and recommend to friends and clients.

    As always, the service was top notch and the food was incredible. We had the piri piri prawns, the octopus, and clams and mussels for appetizers and the lobster risotto for mains. Everything was succulent and deliciously balanced. Everything worked together to make a beautiful harmonious meal. The wine was great and the coffee perfectly bitter. We love you LOL

    Awesome place! Great atmosphere and good energy. Fantastic service and excellent food. Eating out is for sure expensive nowadays. However, I didn’t mind paying more for this place. They deserve it as they deliver a great experience all around.

    The entire experience was great, from being seated to our service and the food. Our waiter was amazing and made our first visit worth it. I’ll be dreaming about the sauce from the mussels and clams until I have it again. Definitely will be back to Sabor for our next date night!

    A nice restaurant in great old building. Parking in the immediate area. The service was what we enjoy: prompt, pleasant but not rushed. First time customers would enjoy a family style seafood dinner that provides a good selection of the restaurant fare. Although their mussels in a curry sauce were excellent the balance of the selections were, at best, average. You will experience high end pricing for the decor and service. It was our first time and most likely our last given the number of great venues in the city.

    Our server was somewhat less than attentive and disappointing overall. We were a large group and all thought he was somewhat absent and in the end we had to get someone else to get our bills for us .

    I love the food here, truly amazing. And excellent location. However, this was the first time when we dined they added an automatic gratuity. We were a larger table, table of 8, but no where on the website does it note an auto gratuity being added to the bill. This one was at 20%. Had the services been over top, I wouldn’t have minded I suppose, however we felt quiet rushed the entire time, our waitress forgot to ask my grandma and mom for refills on their drinks, forgot to bring my sister and her husband their second drink order. I just found this a bit unfair to not warn guests.

    Our server was extremely rude and dismissive. For a supposedly upscale and elegant restaurant, my friend and I were extremely disappointed. We had chosen Sabor to celebrate a big event, and were very surprised and disappointed with how this special memory was ruined. Of note, we have both dined at Sabor before with very good experiences.
