Salt Wine Bar
Dinner: Monday - Sunday: 6:00pm - 11:00pm.
Good food, service a little slow in the beginning. Loved the lamb meatballs.
Good food and attentive service. Could be a bit cheaper for real value. They are not quite as good as bar Isabel or bar Raval for comparable price but wine list from Spain and Portugal is really nice
A fun and energetic place with outstanding food. The service was excellent, and everyone had the most wonderful time. Highly recommend Salt for virtually any occasion. Be hungry and thirsty!
the food was great!
4.5 stars. This is an excellent small plate restaurant. The patatas bravas are superb, the lobster risotto excellent as were BBQ ribs. The prices are reasonable, a huge wine selection, and very good cider. It can get noisy, but we arrived early and ate very well.
A last minute find that really delivered. Excellent food, wine, ambiance.
Wanted to try this place for awhile and it did not disappoint. Our waiter chose a delicious wine for the table and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We were four people and shared 8 different tapas plates which were served at the right pace and were was delicious. Another plus was that the tables were not too close together and the noise level was not too loud. We all enjoyed our evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Love Salt. A wonderful relaxed atmosphere to be able to go and have date night. Love the freshness of the food and the tasty options. Great sharing plates and wonderful wine selection. Really enjoyed our night.
I can’t believe how amazing this restaurant is. It’s like a hidden gem in Toronto! It’s tapa style and for two people, they recommend four dishes which was more than enough! I really loved how dim and intimate it was! And the service was wonderful! I am definitely coming back here soon!
Wonderful wine selection, great food and service was perfect. Great experience and will definetly be going back.
Dinner was lovely. We really enjoyed the tapas style shared dishes, especially the salmon. I had a glass of wine which was quite different (as our server warned me it would be) but I found it delightful, quite jammy. I can't remember the name of the wine though. If the server happens to remember it and could send it to me I'd greatly appreciate it.
My wife and I have been to Salt several times. We live in the Ossington strip area and therefore have regular access to incredible restaurants. Despite our multitude of options, we both consider Salt to be our favourite restaurant for its incredible and creative food, wine selections, and exceptional service. We look forward to our next visit!
Celebrating our anniversary and this was the perfect little date spot to start the night. Service was amazing as they recommended great beverages for us. Not being a beer drinker I tried one of their specialty beers that tasted similar to a dry cider/juice. Was pleasantly surprised as did not taste like beer or leave me bloated. We had 4 tappas and all were great. The friend chicken was more than enough to be a main and would not even consider it a tappas.
Well worth the walk. A knowledgeable staff and extensive wine menu make for a great experience. Very cozy yet modern atmosphere with authentic tapas made from quality ingredients by people who obviously care about what they are providing to their guests. Overall fantastic!!!
Food is absolutely fantastic without being pretentious.
Servers are very knowledgeable.
Great food and service. The gnocchi dish was tops!
Delicious. I have dined at Salt on several occasions and the food is always delicious.
Great menu. Expansive wine list and great staff...they just need to work on their acoustics as it gets extremely loud when the dining room is full!
The lamb meatballs were absolutely delicious. All the dishes came out beautifully presented and temperature perfect. I thought nknthis restaurant is particular with the temperature of everything. My Rose wine was crystal cold just like I like it. Every dish came out piping hot. The cheese board came out at room temperature to taste every flavour of each cheese. I have already told 6 people of our dinner. Our waiter was knowledgeable and kind.
Love the food, well paced tapas. Casual but professional service and great ambiance.
Great sharing menu! Our group of 6 had a hard time picking favourite dishes because they all were so delicious and so well-presented! Our group was a mix of vegetarians and meat eaters and everyone enjoyed the sharing choices! Very friendly and attentive service too!
Super evening of well executed dishes and well chosen wines.
An excellent last minute choice for a private two person dinner. Saw groups there as well. Service and food was outstanding.
One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in recent memory - all the dishes we tried were superb -
the prawn cakes , the lamb meatballs , grilled calamari with great balance of greens
Great wine list and the bourbon / cocktail servings are generous , great service and music too
Great waiter who offered options and direction on the sharing menu for a business dinner. We all had different favourites which means 5 outstanding first choices. Great ambiance.
Good food, incredibly stingy portions for the price. Tapas is expected to be small servings but the price should reflect that, even in Toronto. The scallop ceviche, which was fantastic, contained sliced scallops that added up to maybe half an actual scallop. The $3 chorizo added to the patatas bravas was 4 tiny thin slices scattered over the dish like a light garnish.
The food itself was good and the overall bill didn't come to much more than I would expect to pay in the city; the individual dishes could just have been more enjoyable had they been less tightfisted. Also the first tapas bar I've been to that did not have an actual chorizo dish on the menu :(
My only recommendation for improvement is to have some sort of damper added to lower noise. Hard to have conversations. This is an easy fix
Creative menu with interesting wines. Will definitely return for a second visit
Great food and service, the wines are well priced and the atmosphere is always energetic. Keep it up Salt.
Salt is one of our favorite restaurants in the city. The service is always on point. The entire staff is very knowledable with what's coming out of the kitchen. The food.. The food is simply amazing. The beef tare tare is exactly what it should be. Wagu beef short ribs were worth every penny. Fingers are crossed for the venison carpaccio to make it back to the menu. It's honestly one of the most delicious dishes I've ever eaten.
Salt never fails to impress. The food is wonderful, great for sharing. The serving staff is knowledgeable about the menu and the wine and their recommendations are always spot on. I've taken lots of people to Salt and they are always impressed.
One of the best dining experiences I have had in the west end
Great tapas, music and mixed drinks.
Loved it. Food was delicious and wdll madd. Eberything came ojt perfectly. Would definitely retun. Great ambiance as well and super friendly and attentive staff.
Good food and flavours. Excellent atmosphere.
The food and wine werre excellent, however the prices were ridiculous. Will not go back for that reason.
I’ve had great meals here, and would come again, but this evening was mixed. Crab cakes were bad (too breaded, too salts, limited crab taste). Short ribs were ok, not as good as other meat-based tapas. Octopus/chorizo was great, scallop ceviche was great.
Both the service and food at Salt Wine Bar were excellent!
The food was out of this world good and the service was excellent! Our server helped us choose a wine to go with our food and it was fantastic too. Will go back again and again and again!
