    Mouth watering tapas and good service. The only issue was the noice level. Perhaps hanging some noise absorbing panels in the ceiling would help.

    Prices have crept up and portions have got smaller since last time we visited. Also seemed noisier than an average restaurant, hard to have a conversation

    We had a wonderful evening at Salt and ended up closing the place down. Sat at the bar and tried a bunch of delicious wines and cocktails. We had 5 different tapas which included the truffle artichoke dip, whipped goat cheese toast, piri piri fried chicken, wagu sliders, shishido peppers and finished it off with the vanilla custard dessert. Everything was outstanding and we will be back!

    Cozy spot with a brilliant wine list featuring many Portuguese winemakers. Knowledgeable staff and friendly service. Food was good. Nice selection of Madeira wine including a lovely Moscatel.

    Excellent service . Food was simple and yet , outstanding . Fresh ingredients , and very tasty . I love that this restaurant was comfortable , no attitude just people with good vibes . Like a warm hug with exceptional food ! Highly recommend - FYI , great bartender !

    Great food and incredible service. The lady serving us recommended an incredibly well priced wine. We were there on a wednesday night and only three tables had guests otherwise restaurant was empty. So the ambience was lacking and there wasn;t much of a vibe. Perhaps because it was a wednesday night. Would most certainly recommend it for the food, wine and the service!

    Second time at this restaurant we enjoyed as much as the first time. Our selection of tapas was excellent, the wine we chose was amazing. The wines are so different and what I love is it's not available in the LCBO. We were there early so the noise level was good. We love the vibe of the place and will absolutely keep going back.

    Salt is beautiful, with a great selection of wines and delicious food that’s actually worth the price unlike a lot of other restaurants in Toronto. A true gem! It’s on the pricier side but it’s worth it for a special occasion. 10/10 would recommend!

    We had a wonderful dinner, every dish was executed perfectly, grilled octopus, duck confit, Piri Piri fried chicken and the beef tartar was a standout. Also the dessert, both too good to pass up. The environment was lively but not overly loud. Good music playing but not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. Service was attentive but never intrusive. Dining surrounded by wine bottles was nice too. Hadn't been since before covid, still as good as I remembered, will make sure to come back again soon.

    Absolutely superb! The paella was excellent, and the lobster toast - wow! The other tapas we tried were also culinary masterpieces so overall it was 10 outta 10 - superb.

    This was our second visit to Salt and won’t be our last. We chose a range of items and shared. As a vegetarian, I never have trouble finding delicious food to eat. My Portuguese husband approves of the paella. And the patates bravas is a family favorite.

    Food was good, goat cheese toast and wagyu sliders were great; however fried chicken left a little something to be desired based on the creativity of the rest of the menu. Wine selection was good. Dark and cozy ambiance, overall fun meal in a quaint neighborhood.

    Just a fabulous evening. Great cocktails, the perfect amount of food, knowledgeable service. Would definitely come back. The scallops were perfection. But even the “simple” dishes like the sourdough with bomba and olive oil were elevated and delicious.

    What a wonderful meal we had at Salt Wine Bar. Food was fantastic especially the Scallop ceviche which was beautifully presented and exceed by taste. Definitely a reorder. Service was top level. Tremendous appreciation and respect to Phillip and his front of house team. So well organized, helpful and engaging. This team knows how to take it to the next level. Wine list is well built and full of quality wines at various price points. We will be back as there is so much more to taste and drink. Wonderful night. Thank you Team Salt.

    A gem of a find. Sat at the bar. Fabulous service. Food was excellent, as was wine. The goat cheese tarte is mind blowing. Will definitely come back. Has a really lovely, cozy vibe in the back, if you can get a table. Great date spot.

    Nice ambiance and good classic tapas offerings. Scallop crudo was perfect, octopus was on point. Cocktail offerings for those not looking to have wine were great too. Paella could stand to be a bit richer in flavor, but overall the night was a great intimate vibe and a solid restaurant outing. Friendly service was a plus! Would recommend for a more understated and peaceful night out on the Ossington scene!

    We went to salt wine bar for a belated birthday celebration. We asked the server what he recommended to eat and he said he had no recommendations. We then asked what was the most popular items on the menu and he said they’re all good.. since he wouldn’t recommend the food we ordered at random. The food was good but the service was not. We then asked our server to recommend wine by the glass. He replied “I can technically recommend all the wines on the list depending on the occasion so it’s really up to you.”… We fell silent then asked if he could tell us about the green wines and said “we don’t have green wines, verde is just a region” as he rolled his eyes. We then asked about a dry wine not too oaky and he said “they’re all dry and not sweet so you can pick anything”. We picked a wine at random since he refused to help us select our food or drinks. He went over to the other server right after this and started giggling and looking over at us. Overall, food and wine were great 8.5/10. Service 0/10. Would not return because of this

    The food was amazing, especially the ceviche. Had a Smokey cocktail which was outstanding. Service was top notch. Pleasantly surprised when the bill came… was less than I had budgeted.

    Food was great! I find everyone very caring here and it’s been a while since I last came. I asked for hot water & lemon because of my allergies, after a whole while and some drinks later, i asked for another hot water (without asking for lemon) and he brought me it on the side as well. Look, it’s something as little as that, but to me it speaks volume. These guys are super attentive, even with their service time and drinks. I just haven’t been really happy with any restaurants these last few years and service has all in all gone down the drain unfortunately. Being a new restaurant doesnt give you any excuse. So I am sticking to what has always been the top since forever. I am extremely happy with Salt Wine && will defo be returning!!!!!!! Also your gnocchi STOPPPP 🫨🫨😍😍😩😩🤤🤤
