Salt Wine Bar
Dinner: Monday - Sunday: 6:00pm - 11:00pm.
Food is absolutely fantastic without being pretentious.
Servers are very knowledgeable.
Great food and service. The gnocchi dish was tops!
Delicious. I have dined at Salt on several occasions and the food is always delicious.
Great menu. Expansive wine list and great staff...they just need to work on their acoustics as it gets extremely loud when the dining room is full!
The lamb meatballs were absolutely delicious. All the dishes came out beautifully presented and temperature perfect. I thought nknthis restaurant is particular with the temperature of everything. My Rose wine was crystal cold just like I like it. Every dish came out piping hot. The cheese board came out at room temperature to taste every flavour of each cheese. I have already told 6 people of our dinner. Our waiter was knowledgeable and kind.
Love the food, well paced tapas. Casual but professional service and great ambiance.
Great sharing menu! Our group of 6 had a hard time picking favourite dishes because they all were so delicious and so well-presented! Our group was a mix of vegetarians and meat eaters and everyone enjoyed the sharing choices! Very friendly and attentive service too!
Super evening of well executed dishes and well chosen wines.
An excellent last minute choice for a private two person dinner. Saw groups there as well. Service and food was outstanding.
One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in recent memory - all the dishes we tried were superb -
the prawn cakes , the lamb meatballs , grilled calamari with great balance of greens
Great wine list and the bourbon / cocktail servings are generous , great service and music too
Great waiter who offered options and direction on the sharing menu for a business dinner. We all had different favourites which means 5 outstanding first choices. Great ambiance.
Good food, incredibly stingy portions for the price. Tapas is expected to be small servings but the price should reflect that, even in Toronto. The scallop ceviche, which was fantastic, contained sliced scallops that added up to maybe half an actual scallop. The $3 chorizo added to the patatas bravas was 4 tiny thin slices scattered over the dish like a light garnish.
The food itself was good and the overall bill didn't come to much more than I would expect to pay in the city; the individual dishes could just have been more enjoyable had they been less tightfisted. Also the first tapas bar I've been to that did not have an actual chorizo dish on the menu :(
My only recommendation for improvement is to have some sort of damper added to lower noise. Hard to have conversations. This is an easy fix
Creative menu with interesting wines. Will definitely return for a second visit
Great food and service, the wines are well priced and the atmosphere is always energetic. Keep it up Salt.
Salt is one of our favorite restaurants in the city. The service is always on point. The entire staff is very knowledable with what's coming out of the kitchen. The food.. The food is simply amazing. The beef tare tare is exactly what it should be. Wagu beef short ribs were worth every penny. Fingers are crossed for the venison carpaccio to make it back to the menu. It's honestly one of the most delicious dishes I've ever eaten.
Salt never fails to impress. The food is wonderful, great for sharing. The serving staff is knowledgeable about the menu and the wine and their recommendations are always spot on. I've taken lots of people to Salt and they are always impressed.
One of the best dining experiences I have had in the west end
Great tapas, music and mixed drinks.
Loved it. Food was delicious and wdll madd. Eberything came ojt perfectly. Would definitely retun. Great ambiance as well and super friendly and attentive staff.
Good food and flavours. Excellent atmosphere.
The food and wine werre excellent, however the prices were ridiculous. Will not go back for that reason.
I’ve had great meals here, and would come again, but this evening was mixed. Crab cakes were bad (too breaded, too salts, limited crab taste). Short ribs were ok, not as good as other meat-based tapas. Octopus/chorizo was great, scallop ceviche was great.
Both the service and food at Salt Wine Bar were excellent!
The food was out of this world good and the service was excellent! Our server helped us choose a wine to go with our food and it was fantastic too. Will go back again and again and again!
Not my first time here, but it continues to impress in new ways every time. On this occasion we spent a bit more time than usual discussing the wine choice with the server. The wine list has a large selection of Portuguese wine and assistance is very helpful. Our server nailed it. The wine she recommended was exactly what we were looking for and complemented the meal perfectly.
Everything we ordered was delicious. The potatoes were to die for and the churros were the best I've ever had. Service was good but could have been better. Twice we were given the wrong orders for our table. When I first walked in there was no one at the front to greet customers and it took a while for someone to come. One waiter walked right past me twice and I don't think it would have hurt for him to acknowledge me even if he wasn't the hostess. There was some confusion with the bill at the end which kind of bummed us out but it eventually got resolved. Overall we had a great experience and this is definitely one of the top places in Toronto for tapas. Couldn't wait to go back.
Very nice place, I highly appreciated it wasn't too loud. Very good food, would have liked more options of Spanish wines.
Went to Salt as a post wedding dress shopping celebration with my bridesmaids. It was great! The food was absolutely delicious - great place for sharing and being able to try a bunch of things. The crab & shrimps cakes and the buttermilk fried chicken were amazing. Just an FYI that it's quite loud so a bit tricky to have an audible conversation with a group over 4 people. Would definitely recommend it.
The food was excellent as was the service. The menu is not huge but varied enough - something for everyone. Wine list is extensive our waiter was knowledgeable and of assistance in pairing wine to our food selections. Not a frugal night out but nevertheless enjoyable. I would return.
Service was excellent. Knowledgeable staff. Great vibes and atmosphere
Cozy resto in a great neighborhood. Delicious food and wine, friendly and knowledgeable service. Would go back in a heartbeat. Great spot for a date.
The restaurant has a good atmosphere with a menu that has enough variety for small groups.
Really great! Drinks, service, ambiance were wonderful. The only thing would be the price on some of the dishes were too high for the quality, but other than that a fantastic joint. Highly recommend the fried chicken and truffle gnocchi dishes :)
Amazing food, ambiance, drinks and service. An Ossington must!
Another excellent 4.5 star meal at Salt. Every one of the 8 dishes four of us had was excellent--spare ribs gorgeous, lamb meatballs and crab-shrimp cakes superb. It's even easy to hear conversation across the table. Good wine list, good cider, good service.
We have never been disappointed at Salt. Lovely, knowledgeable service. Delicious, elegant tapas style food with a Portuguese twist. Beautiful, relaxed room. Excellent sommelier.
Once again had a great night at this great restaurant. Food was excellent and service spot on. Will be back.
Amazing and delicious food! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Reasonably priced as well for the quality you are getting. Hands down our favourite restaurant in Toronto. We love coming here for all our special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries!
