Saltlik is one of my favourites. It’s always good. We go there every time we visit Calgary
Great meal! Music was a bit bizarre…needed a few better options for Brussels sprouts side. Mashed potatoes and filet were amazing!
Food was ok and service friendly, but slow to start. The place itself was very nice and ambiance would have been great if it wasn’t for the choice of music. I would have expected a place like this to have classier music than techno/dance type music, especially for a nice dinner. Probably a fun place to meet with friends for dinner, but not for a romantic date night .

The best brussel sprouts you will ever eat!! .. was a great experience all around.. steak was cooked perfect.. the sides were delicious, and the service was top notch. Definitely would go back

Excellent meal!! My husband had the scallops and gnocchi which were amazing and I had the chicken. Perfect portion sizes and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for!!!!
That calamari was outstanding and my friends and my girlfriend enjoyed every single bite. But the Proportions were quiet small, but again amazing.
The steam which is usually very good was quite tough and grissled. The knife was not sharp enough to cut.
A $74 steak needs to be easier to eat.

The food and service were great. The only issue we had was that a large table was seated right beside us and there couldn’t have been more that 2 feet between us. It was uncomfortable and it didn’t make for a great dining experience. If that hadn’t happened it would have been 5* across the board.
They've changed their menu a lot and it's also not very accommodating. Their food quality is good but it feels more like a weird trendy restaurant now more than a steakhouse.

French opinion soup should be made with Gruyère not mozzarella, especially at that price. Striploin steak was okay, not exceptional. Small selection of steaks. Service was really good but food not a standout.
We went to celebrate NYE with friends. The restaurant was busy but not crazy which was nice. No set menu just order from the traditional menu. I ordered the sirloin and upgraded to lobster mashed potatoes which was delicious but certainly not worth the extra $19 price tag.. I didn’t like that the steak came with Brussel sprouts and that I didn’t have another choice unless I wanted to pay extra. I also got extra mushrooms which literally was maybe 5 on my plate? Presentation was nothing special for a steak house in my opinion compared to the Keg for example.
The calamari was probably the best I’ve ever had! That was my favourite part of the dinner and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert was delicious! Overall entree was ok but wish I had seasoned vegetables as a side option not just brussel sprouts.
We went for New Years Eve and Usually the restaurant is busy but due to the latest Covid restrictions it was half empty. Saltlik was double staffed which meant our food came very quickly and the service was awesome. The food is amazing!!
We went here for new years eve. We my shared the calamari appetizer which was interesting.differebt from the usual deep fried calamari. A bit spicy but kind of oily.
The sirloin steaks were a generous size. I found mine to be very difficult to chew and the peppercorn sauce which was served on the side was floating in grease.
The apple pie and lava cakes were both good. Nothing was really spectacular but a decent meal if you are not fussy and are not looking for an original menu. Nothing very exotic or worthy of repeat.
French onion soup was delicious. Both steaks were over cooked rib eye and New York. One was cooked to medium rare on one side and well done on the other. Waited 20 min before someone came by to check on us. By then we gave up and ate half of our steaks. Expected more for a $76 and $52 steak.

My filet mignon was a sirloin, you can’t fool a country girl in the heart of cattle country. Server seemed distracted. By the time she came to check our meal we had resigned to just eating and leaving. There is no point in ruining two meals to get one right, my husband had scallops those wouldn’t have sat well while we waited. She also didn’t mention the steak and huge fat strip left on my plate. It was disappointing I’m glad I had good company. We drove 3 hours one way just to celebrate based on your stellar reputation. Nothing was offered for our anniversary.
We ha d a lovely anniversary dinner at a cozy table by the fireplace. Joey, our waiter, was super helpful about our choices and the drinks and dessert were as yummy as the rest of the meal.

Five of us all ordered the beef tenderloin steaks with lobster mash potatoes and brussel sprouts with the peppercorn sauce. Lobster mash was amazing!! Brussels too!
Out of the five orders, 3 of the steaks had to be returned to the grill. We like our steaks medium rare but these steaks were literally blue rare!!
We got our 3 steaks back and again, all 3 steaks had to go back a second time.
We got the 3 steaks back again, and there was one steak that still had to be returned to the grill for a 3rd time!!
After the third time they got it right AND brought fresh, hot Brussels and mushrooms.
The other guest ordered a steak sandwich with fries and that order was perfect.
The serving staff were amazing. They felt so bad but it’s not their fault.
We got a steak taken off the bill, free desserts and a free glass of wine. So we were taken care of in that regard.

Food was good and service was decent. Steak that was undercooked was only retired and not replaced. I was left eating alone after others were finished.....disappointed I received no compensation for this.

Went out for the evening to have a nice meal, asked for a table in the corner as one of the guests is deaf on one ear, was seated directly under the speaker. Furthermore, after the starter, we had to keep our knife and fork to use for the main course, the main course was served on top of our starter before the table was cleared and ready. Sweet server but clearly not trained enough.
Also, the menu card on the internet did not quite reflect the menu card in the restaurant.
We enjoyed our meal as it was very tasty. The service was fine but nothing notable. I had called earlier to mention it was a special occasion and was told they woukd have a complimentary drink for the grad. I called ahead so I would not have to mention at the table but the drink was not provided and I did not want to draw attention to it with the guest present. All in all, an enjoyable evening out.

First formal dinner with my girlfriend.
We shared the Ahi Tuna Tartare which was amazing. Entrees were the Hunter Chicken and the Premium Steak Sandwich, both of which were amazing.
Will definitely recommend this place to others and hope to be dining again soon with as amazing an experience!

Great service, really good food! They were out of a few ingredients at the bar so I didn't get my perfect cocktail selection but the alternatives were good.

Was extremely noisy to the point of being overbearing. Could not have a normal conversation with table guests. We even discusses leaving. Food was ok, certainly not outstanding.
I have been going to Saltlik for several years and it's still a really good restaurant. Food is really good. It's a bit loud, but a nice restaurant.

I had ordered a Beeswax Old Fashion and received one with a berry. I saw a second Old Fashion come to our table on the second bill (just drinks) which I believe was actually the beesewax version. I also ordered a medium steak which came with no pink. Service was slow and the server was under the impression Wagyu Carpaccio was seafood and suggested my guest order another appetizer such as the Focaccia rather than Calamari as he did not like seafood.
This was my first experience at Saltlick and the food was good however the service was poor. Polite but poor.
I will reserve my recommendation however I will not, not recommend.

One word: Disappointed. I was there in 2018 and the experience was great. However tonight, the magic was gone… main course arrived when the starters weren’t finished, a filet mignon with garlic herbs butter on top while a béarnaise sauce is on the side (either one or the other but not the two). No milk for a cappuccino. Well as a conclusion… it was sad and bad experience.
Totally enjoyed our meal!! Had the 7 oz. Sirloin and it was perfectly cooked. Delicious brussel sprouts and mushrooms as well! Excellent service and the Sticky Toffee Pudding topped off the meal!!
have to ensure there is no Flames game next time, as the two of us could barely hold a conversation... also, the new menu since we were there a couple of years ago (pre COVID), is not as elevated as it used to be.
