Outstanding service. We were helped by several people including the manager. Steak was excellent.

Service did not meet the expectations that the restaurant attempts to uphold

Steak was painfully salty. Bread was rock hard and flavourless. Music was so loud we had trouble hearing each other. Too expensive for what you get. Nothing special. Sadly was disappointed with my whole experience. Will not return or recommend.

Great dining experience. In particular my husband thought the company was most excellent.

Have been involved in Beef production in Alberta for 40 plus years. The steak was terrific. nicely seasoned and done to perfection. The Waygu starter was delicious. Ambiance in the restaurant was great - so nice to have a dinner out after the lockdown!

They upgraded their calamari, it might just be the best in Calgary now!

Just in Calgary for the night, decided to book a quick date seeing as though COVID has kept us restricted lately. Our server was great, food was absolutely delicious and the environment was very cozy. Highly recommended !!

Food was quite salty and the wait was super long for our food. We had to send our steak back because it wasn’t properly cooked. I ate barely any of my food leaving it at the restaurant and I was charged full price. I think something could’ve been done as I left the restaurant hungry after spending $200 with my boyfriend. Staff is super friendly though. Also minor thing, but I wouldn’t recommend the seating by the doors especially in the winter as we were freezing the whole time.

Food was borderline cold. Quality was good, not great. For the price I was expecting a higher standard

Wonderful Valentines dinner. Marlenka was great and really made our night. Lobster mashed potatoes were delicious. One of our favourite places in the city for a steak and we'll definitely be back soon! Thanks SL

All staff were great, very friendly and knowledgeable. food was cooked to perfection and good portion sizes.

Wok fried calamari was the best part. Steaks were quite underwhelming for a steakhouse of this caliber. Filet ordered medium and came rare, strip loin ordered medium rare and came to order. Both steaks tougher than the steaks I grab at the local Safeway. Desert top notch, sticky pudding

Excellent food but a bit pricey. Food could have been hotter and we waited over an hour for it to arrive at the table.

Going to be honest it was doomed from the first interaction this was supposed to be a special valentines meal and many factors contributed to the low review.
1. Front end hostess basically said that the restaurant was busy and we would have to be seated at a high bar table which was not what was requested. The tables in question were at the front of the restaurant and exposed to the cold entry way. Only after having her consult with the “manager” were we able to get a proper table we had reserved.
2. One of the steaks came out severely undercooked. We both ordered our steaks medium well , one was a light medium and the other was closer to the rare side. This was brought to the attention of the server who apologized and took it back to the kitchen for a re-fire. When the steak was retuned it had not been cooked any more and was still red and cold on the inside. This time the manager was made aware and promised to get a new steak cooked for me.
I will say that the manager and server did there best to try and remedy the situation , comp steak and a gift card for a future visit, however as a result of the inconsistency in the “cook” of the steaks my spouse and I were forced to eat separately. This basically ruined the evening as we were both upset and frustrated that our romantic meal and first meal out in 2 months was ruined.

This was our third visit to Saltlick. All three times we have been there one of the steaks have been severely undercooked and either had to be re-fired or remade. We keep trying this location as when the food is prepared properly it is quite delicious, however the inconsistency in the kitchen makes it a gamble every time.

Will never go back. I believe this is the 1st terrible review I have ever given! The restaurant was freezing cold and most patrons sat there wearing coats for their dinner. We were one of the first tables and the service was mediocre at best. The food tasted ok but nothing spectacular. We both order a filet mignon (not bad) with mushrooms (blah) and asparagus. Couldn't be bothered to order dessert! We wanted to get out of there!

Would recommend you try somewhere else.

The server took quite some time coming to our table every time. My steak wasn’t cooked properly, and I asked to have it put back on the grill for a few minutes which the manager did. I got new mashed potatoes, but the manager also said they gave me new mushrooms which they just clearly put back on the grill since they were all dry and shrivelled up.

Me and my partner went out for dinner after a long time and we enjoyed our evening very much. Food, service and everything was excellent. Would definitely go back there soon.

Waitress was friendly and attentive , lovely ambiance , appetizers were good , but they where not ready for the opening weekend after this set of restrictions were lifted, they were at full capacity not sure if they didn’t expect it or they don’t have enough cooks but appetizers were excellent and came in on time but for the main meal we waited for an hour after appies.
When it did come out the steak was cold , a side I ordered I found out was not available. I think they would have completely forgot but when I asked about it I found out they ran out but would make me another on the house . That would have taken too long so I we decided just forget about it. In all fairness they covered our appetizers but it was pretty obvious there wasn’t enough staff.

It was our sons 10th birthday. Our server was friendly and fun. Everyone was very happy. The steaks were just ok quality, however everyone enjoyed their meals.

Covid rules and cautions were handled very well. Spaced out tables, clean restaurant and washrooms.

We will return again!

Incredible food as always. Steaks were cooked beautifully and service was incredible despite such a busy night. Service at this restaurant is always great and food is even better.

Our server was a gem and it was a great meal 👌 we tried a few different drinks which were all quite impressive as well

Steak too salty and peppery. Gnocchi a little soggy as well as mushrooms. Dessert molten cake was good and crab cakes were good too. Server very nice.

Massimo looked after us exceptionally well. We love the Saltlik and have been going for years. Highly recommend Saltlik
